Wonderful model - great to see it flying. That 4 stroke engine sounded real good also. Thanks for sharing ! I had one of these with a 120 size four stroke as well. I painted mine up with a Werner Voss like scheme. Striped, smeared olive green over light colored fabric. And the cowl had the 'eyes & mustache' on the front. According to British pilots who flew against him - he was able to make a very quick, flat turn of 180 degrees and start shooting at someone who was previously behind him. The story of his last fight against a bunch of British SE 5a's is quite an interesting read.

Nice flight, nice model. I wish I could get glow sticks to hold in like that! I intend to build David Hurrell's 1/4 scale Fokker Triplane once a few projects have been completed. I rather fancy Adolf von Tutschek's scheme because it's simple!

I've always wondered with those very light, massive surface area triplanes if they have a very low stall speed ? ... it'd be handy in a dog fight, to almost break to a halt.

I promise to take my Sopwith Camel next time, you can't beat multiple Great War aeroplanes in the sky at one time, cheers
