You need not apologise for walking over the stones. They would be so pleased you are remembering them and documenting their existence . A beautiful setting, although overgrown. Also lovely to see the greenery in the grounds, as now most are parched. Thank you 👍
Hopefully they would understand, I try to avoid walking on graves as much as possible but couldn't help it this time. This cemetery defiantly was lush, maybe a bit too lush
With those over grown ferns and trees and i heard u said u got bleeding legs, that was an awesome graveyard walks, love it also when u say sorry for stepping into their graves, thank you once again for sharing it with us. God bless and more power, be careful next time. ❤️
In my ancestors grave yard which is a closed one, the council organised a four wheel drive club and they all get together and clean and tidy up the graves ect. Then they have a picnic . I'm so pleased as some idiot tried to exume some bodies. It's in the country and idiots thought no one went there but they were so wrong.
so beautiful I've lived in England and In the States of New England, and both areas in England and New England states look so much alike Beautiful Video.
Please can you hold your camera a little longer over the writing on gravestones, just to give us chance to digest what’s written…no offence but a lot of us like to read about the person buried there. It was a lovely interesting churchyard so glad in this instance you went to the wrong church. Did you pick up any of your fey impressions of anyone still around, as you said you sometimes have? Many thanks! 😀😘🌹💕👏🏻
Hi @deadgoodwalks. I've just joined your channel, and I love it. I thought I heard a woman's voice on this, but will listen with fones on and let you know. Keep the vids coming though. Brilliant..!!..xx
@@deadgoodwalks i replayed it and I think it was a combination of wind noise, a plane and maybe some traffic. But I was convinced it was organ music and I waited for you to comment on it but you didn't!
Fascinating! I think most of the inscriptions were in Welsh? The graveyard looks like it was closed to new burials a long time ago - hence it being so overgrown.
So Dan, I wonder where th Smiths are? Usually there are Smiths with Jones. 😄 All seriousness, was wondering if the Parishioners for that Church have dried up? I would guess, that if it was a thriving Parish; someone would mow the lawn. Hopefully someone steps up to do that. Enjoined the walk, thanks for sharing. I would of thought Lord Snowden's family might offer money, to keep up their Grandparent's Graveyard. Enjoy your day, thanks 😊.
Hi new to your channel and loving it! In this graveyard you find something which you call an in mortel, I have never seen or heard of such a thing, what exactly is it please?
Can any older welsh viewers tell why so many graves still have their railings intact please? While I understood that in England, London and surrounding areas all railings were taken and melted down for arms and equipment needed during the Second World War?? Thankyou if anyone can throw light on this?
St Mary's Church, Handsworth, Birmingham has a large graveyard (half of which is overgrown). Been there, but couldn't get in the church. Memorials inside for Matthew Boulton, James Watt, and William Murdoch, who are buried inside. William McGregor, founder of the football league is buried in the churchyard.
Why oh why don't they get community service people to clean up & help preserve these places, especially the one who thought it a joke to disgustingly smear a beautiful church.
I was thrilled that you found an intact immortelle on one grave there. I remember as a child in Norfolk visiting my grannies grave and being mesmerised by a glass dome on a nearby grave covering ceramic roses and a dove. At 9yrs old I thought it the most beautiful gift to have left that person, and wished my granny could have had one. I was devastated a few years later when instead of a scythe cutting the long grass, a lawnmower was introduced, and sadly hit and broke the wonderful immortelle to bits. I have never ever seen another since that day, and didn’t even know what they were called until you just found a lovely intact one there…sensibly covered with a wire mesh dome! Googled online it only showed old ones still in Welsh graveyards, so they must be very careful, caring people tending those graves and areas round, when cutting the grass. I’m 70 now, and it’s taken all these years for you to share another and bring back my beautiful childhood memory. Thankyou so much. 🥰🫶💕🙏
Ok. I had a listen with my headphones on, and I heard a couple of things. At 1:14, a man sighs, when you are explaining you are in the wrong cemetery. At 5:33 what sound like a woman's voice, but too low to make out what she says. And I thought I heard someone giggle when you were trying to say Griffiths. Ay 12:16, a woman's voice again, but again too low to make out. They could be speaking Welsh though..!!. Heard a strange noise at 12:42, like someone banging on something hollow, maybe?. Lastly at 15:05, I can here what sounds like a group of people praying/chanting? Have a listen, see what you think. You said you were open to stuff like this, and I love time stamping...lol. Take care, and keep the vids coming. Love from Ireland.
I love your walks ❤ but could you please stop and read a few of the more interesting epitaphs in depth. It’s so tantalising when the camera drifts of the words and I can only catch a few of them. Keep up the good work you are so calm and respectful. Thank you
Buy some lightweight breathable hiking boots. Merrill brand has good ones. Also lightweight hiking khakis slacks with zip off leg bottoms LL Bean has excellent ones as does Columbia brand. Might save your skin. Would be long lasting investment and protection for you.

Hi! I just found your channel and have been binge watching ever since. Would you be interested in helping me find two specific Graves from my family? One relative of mine was Shakespeare's barber in life then and the other would be an uncle who was on the legal council of King Henry VIII or something of the sort. If interested let me know and I will send you my contact info privately. Thank you so much! You do a really good job with your videos.
Thank you for all the binging Rebecca! I'd be happy to try and help. If you click on the about section on my channel you'll see a section with my email address. Drop me a message and I'll see what I can do x
I am not clear what this channel is for? If you are going to go into these graveyards and simply read the names, what is the point? What your viewers are interested in are the back stories of the graveyards, the stories of the people buried, the inscriptions that are readable on the stones and the year they passed. You need to put more work into these videos.
Mr. dan. i just joined your channel yesterday and would really like it if you would give us the date of death on these graves. in this video you only gave one date of death. i really like your channel and would like it even more if you would tell us the year they died. thank you so much. 😃
