I managed to cop extras from R1 (got lucky with the raffle!) after watching your initial sound test. I got purple w/ FR4 plate and brass weight. Already got some lubed and filmed Alpacas waiting! This will be my first time soldering, I'm a bit nervous - but it's definitely going to be worth it for this! I'm still hoping to get a hot-swap PCB from the R2 though. Great videos as always!
@@TheDredgenProject I think what I read on discord if I recall correctly is they were planning on having pcb (including hotswap) and plates available as an “in-stock” item in July, so here’s to hoping we can get our hands on one! Also looking to pick up the poly plate as well and see how that works.
Love your videos. I’m starting to look into ergo keyboards as well. This was really helpful. Have you seen the IC page for this board named Type-K? What are your initial thoughts?
It looks good. I may actually buy it. I have concerns with tenting since the angle may not be suited to some users. That would be my biggest reservation but that design is really nice.

Yup I do have both. I am currently typing on my polycarbonate Maja now. The Abasic sounds and feels better. However the Maja does look more finished and weighs more if that is something that you care about. Maja has arrow keys as well though I don't like how the brass plate sounds. I would pick the Abasic over it anytime :)
