Hi Guys :) I see you finally made it to my city! Gdańsk does look like Amsterdam a little because a lot of buildings were designed by dutch architects. The finest examples of this Dutch Renaissance Style are Green Gate, Gdańsk Armory, Main Train Station, Technical University. Im looking at all those suggestions, visit Zakopane, Lublin, Zamość, podlaskie, Bydgoszcz, Poznań...and they are all wonderful! The are all worth seeing. You are right! Every polish city is the most beautiful one. Because of people.

Funny, always cool watching a video about where you live. I am glad you had a good time. The cool thing is that if you come again in a few years, it will really be a different city, as it is changing so fast.

There are some ruins in the old town area on the water where you were. You may have seen them. Those are going to be rebuilt to look like the other colorful buildings in the old town area. My wife and I want to come back and see them after they are finished. Also, there was a string quartet playing at one of the city gates in the evening. They were college students. They sounded unbelievable good. Just curious if they were there when you were there.

Great video! Why don't you visit Malbork? There is the biggest medieval castle in the world, that once belonged to the Teutonic Order. A great place to see, also the city itself is very pretty. Also, another suggestion to visit the podlaskie voivodeship. It is a great place to take a rest. Not many big cities, some villages and small towns (including my own little town :D), National Parks, lakes, forests and beautiful landscapes. A great place to visit, you could takea a picture for a wallpaper there. Keep going, love your content :)

NEVER give those beggers money nor any attention. They abuse the dogs and the children, they give them sedatives and replace "puppies" every two weeks (god knows what they do to the ones that are not cute and young enough). It is a huge problem here in Poland, especially in Gdańsk to fight them off. There is absolutely nothing cute or fun with it. Please do not be ignorant and do not support horrible business. Thank you.

Next cool video :) I read in comments that your next stop is castle. I think it's Malbork :P 'cause it's not far away from TriCity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) Have more fun :P If u want to know how to pronounce Westerplatte here's a tip :) "W" in Polish is pronounced like "V" in English, so the 1st part of word is pronounced Vester (like man connected with vest :D). Probably sometimes You've seen "crossed" L looking that Ł. "Ł" is pronounced like "W" in English :) The 2nd part of word I think is connected with German. "platte" in German means plate. In Polish it's pronounced in different way than in German. In Polish it's pronounced with double "T" and polish "E" sounds like "E" in "left" and in Polish 'E" is always pronounced :) So u could try to pronounce it like "Vesterplatte" with double T and pronounced E :) If you want to know some more polish letters or sounds simply write me words :) because for example Bydgoszcz looks like word with only consonants :P but in fact it's not hard to pronounce :) In Polish "SZ" and "CZ" is pronounced like 1 sound :) "SZ" is like "SH" in "shock" and "CZ" is like "CH" in "check" :) so it's "Bydgoshch" My name also looks hard :) "Przemek" looks difficult but it's only shorter form of "Przemysław" :D but if you try to pronounced it like "pshemek/pshemeck" it's easier :) and even Przemysław isn't so hard. Try "pshemyswaf" :) and surname is prononced not like "urban" in English it's rather "oorbanski" . Polish "ń" sounds similar to word "knee" :) it's "softer" N :)

You should visit Kielce, there is located a gorgeous palace and Kielce are located in swietokrzyskie mountains so you can find in this city a lot of quarry like Kadzielnia or Rezerwat Skalny Ślichowice or also we have there polish oxford city, wich is called sienkiewicza street and wonderful market in the center of city. If u want do some shopping we have the biggest shopping mall in Poland there 😌 have fun in poland

Westerplatte is not a place for jokes. It is a Polish military outpost that has defended heroically for the longest time, where they were shot at by heavy guns from a battleship, bombed by planes and dominated by German infantry, and yet Polish soldiers stood their ground, so this place deserves respect.

My favourite city :) Gdańsk is similar to Amsterdam because it's the netherland type of buildings ;)

I can't believe it, I was in Gdansk and Sopot around the same time you guys were. Had pierogi at the same restaurant, then I see you were in Budapest, where I spend half of my week, you visited Esztergom, where I live the other half, and you went to see Visegrád where I work on the weekends. Hi, during a visit to Gdansk, you skipped lot of interesting places. You were not on the street Mary's which dates back to the fifteenth century and where to find Mary's Basilica. The church was built between 1346-1506 and is the third volume of the temple in the world built of brick. There were also at the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers 1970 - monument in the form of three crosses or the place where began the road to freedom from the yoke of communism. You were not in the Fortress Wisłoujście of which first mention can be found already in the fourteenth century. In the near Gdansk I find the museum at Stutthof at the former German concentration camp. Between Gdansk and Sopot is Oliwa (town) where you can see the Basilica of the Holy Trinity and her famous great bodies Oliwa designed and built in the years of 1763-1788. Johann Wilhelm Wulff commissioned by Abbot Jacek Rybinski. Ready instrument had 83 voices (5100 pipes). Near the Basilica is a beautiful park founded by Cistercian monks in the fifteenth century. In Oliwa is also a zoo which covers an area of over 123 hectares of landscape park, making it the largest in terms of surface facility of this type in Poland. To complete the visit to the Tri-City is also worth a visit Gdynia, where you can eg. See The ship of World War II ORP Blyskawica and town Hel where is the seal center.

Hello There, maybe you should visit Poznań. The city in a little bit German style. There are very interesting castles and palaces not so far from Poznań like Kórnik, Gołuchów, Rogalin. Highly recommended.

I think that's my favourite area in Poland, because it's calm, peaceful, not so crowded and busy, beautiful nature, many awesome lakes - good place for fishing, sailing, swimming and chilling. If you like fish, you shouldn't be disappointed. A good place for summer vacation ;-). Also the capital of the region, Olsztyn, is not a very big city, with crowds, huge traffic etc. and it's nice :-). Besides, can I ask you which city/region and what did you like the most in Poland?

Actually, the WWII started in Tczew (a city between Malbork and Gdańsk), but the Westerplatte version is more popular. Come one day to Tczew, so I'll show You up the city and the bridge :)

A fun fact for you guys: You mentioned that Gdansk looks like Amsterdam . It's true- and there's a reason for it- they are both Hanzeatic cities. You can google Hanza for details. All cities once belonging to Hanza share similar architecture.

Yep. Visit iin Gdansk and freaking gypsy in white socks just at the beginning of video... Pierogi are not typical Polish food, there is actually much more than that. Also Long Street (Dluga) is not the main one. It is main only in the Old Town. Gdansk is similar to Amsterdam as this is the old Hanza type city - go read something about the history. Besides - great video, happy to see you guys there.

reading in polish!!!! :):):):) "ł" you read like a "w" in english motława = motwava, and "lody" you read like "Lost"; sz=sh like engliSH, cz=cha like CHAse or CHAnge; now groups of letters which are one sound: ch and h in polish having same sound like "Have"; u and ó are also same sound and in english it would be "oo" like gOOd; rz and ż is a bit difficult to pronounce it is like I "Je" in french ..Je suis...; dż is like first letter of "Jargon" or "Just" ...I hope it would be useful :) Have fun there!

Polish fighters defended this land from Germans at Westerplatte on 1st of September 1939 which is officiall date for WW2 start. Not really a laughing matter.. GERMANS and RUSSIANS collaborated to attack and split Poland in half. I recommend reading about this to have better understanding; start of the war, German death camps. Soviet gulags, and Yalta - so you know how alies betrayed us after the WW2 pushing Poland into the communists hands.
