I drank almost 4 litres on this ride mate. But the most water I carried was 500ML. It’s a must have. And only £40. and it can filter up to 50,000 gallons of water before needing replacing
I’m a recent convert to eMTB riding, loving it so far. As a road biker I have to say you mustn’t knock it, cos the speed is adrenaline pumping. Biggest down side is those “I pay Road tax” guys in their fake offroaders 😂
I did say on the day. But didn’t add it to the edit. That I think that long climb we did at the beginning would be amazing the other way. Very fast I imagine. Think it’s one of those rides that are is just as good in both directions
Great vid Andy, i do quite like these kind of rides, i used to do quite a bit of x country and look for some historic things to look at, how times have changed eh? 🤣👍
Great video Andy, not my kind of ride at all but as always, really entertaining. As for riding with eBikers, totally get your point (as in, you don't want to hold them up and potentially make the ride less enjoyable for them) but as long as they are aware that it's a mixed ride, then it's really not an issue. I think the dynamic changes when the ratio shifts from a majority of non-assisted to assisted bikes in a larger group; I wouldn't want to be the only person on a non-assisted bike with 3 or more on eBikes (unless it was a hike-a-bike ride of course - they level the playing field massively). We need to get back up the Lakes and soon. St Sunday Crag is crying out to be done but let's wait until the weather gets a bit more 'springy' and all the snow melts off the tops, with no chance of more falling.
Thanks mate. Yeah not your cup of tea at all this kind of riding. Johns just happy been out in the country side. We work well together. On the flat or descending I’m gone. It’s only the climbs he’s got me. He usually leaves me. Waits at the top enjoying the view while resting his bad back till I get there. Only ebiker I’ll ride with. Excluding Christian of course
Great video again Andy. Always positive. Have you thought about a gravel bike? I've had one for a year now and absolutely love it. I'm sure you would once you got used to it.
They keep popping into my head. And one would be perfect for riding right from my door. We have some nice flat bridleways around Harrogate where the ripmo is twiddling it’s thumbs. Maybe an Xc hard tail also. We shall see.
I did enjoy it. But it’s now off. Found it slightly harsh. I’ve switched to Nobby nic 2.6 x 29 and they are absolutely amazing. I have pressures at 15 front and 18 rear. Completely transformed the bike.
