I loved Il Divo as a whole, but Carlos Marin was my all time favourite singer with the range he could reach when singing! I am just now learning he has passed , I am in shock and so sad over this news. I miss his voice and him being incredible and the talent he had was truly amazing, he always gave me goose bumps when he sang Amazing Grace. even though I am a no body I really did love and appreciate the whole group but he and his voice touched me! I feel so upset and broken hearing this news! R.I.P. Carlos Marin. We will never forget you and always love you xoxoxo
On Nov 24th 2008 Il Divo got me through the most difficult time of my life as my mother had peacefully passed away that morning. She had been ill for quite some time so it was a blessing that she went in her sleep at home as she wanted. That day I had tickets I had won to see Il Divo in an intimate concert in Toronto. I was not going to go and was told by my siblings - GO, there is nothing you can do for Mom now and she was excited for me that I had won this. She too enjoyed Il Divos music. I did go and did shed tears at the beautiful music as they sang it. I have never regretted going that day and have seen them many times since. My heart is broken again today as we as fans mourn the loss of Carlos - he was a joy to listen too. I cried listening to the 3 of you speak and I pray that you will continue on as your music brings such peace and joy to all. Carlos enjoy singing with the angels you will be missed at every performance, rest in Peace. David, Urs & Sebas, I know in my heart whatever you 3 decide it will honor Carlos forever. May God bless all of you and may your music continue forever

Absolute heart breaking. I want to give his mother a great big hug Poor darling. Carlos was a great joy to so many people. I did not know him but it pains my heart every time I watch il Divo and Carlos sing. I cant believe that life was so cruel to take him from us all..... Such a beautiful voice, such a huge talent and I believe such a huge heart. RIP Carlos you are loved my many.

So beautiful but so hard to watch. I got a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes listening to Sébastien and David, and wished I could give each of them a big hug.

Carlos was sent to us from God. He had such a glorious presence. There was something special about him that drew us to him. He was Gods gift to the world. His smile drew us in and captivated all of us. Our Lord gave Carlos to us for just a short time, but every minute of it was amazing. Dear Carlos we will all meet again one day but for now Rest inPeace, you wonderful soul.
One of the few men who could reach that audible g-spot every time he sang. Inducing internal goosebumps of pleasure with his tone, volume, power, and presence. What an incredible, positive impact he had on the world in the short time he had to share with us… we are honored to have heard, known, and loved him. God bless all those touched by him.
It's been over an year now and yet it still brings me to tears. To me Il Divo will never be the same without Carlos. Be strong Urs, David and Sebastian!!

Nice speech of David. All so true. This is how we all know and remember Carlito. Incredibly talented, funny, warm, with the most beautiful smile and that voice...omg. voice of dream man. Happy for him that he lived success and experienced glory, standing ovations, and so much love of fans and women especially. Atmosphere on live shows was incredible. Hapoy for him that all world know him and he left huge impact on us and brought us joy and beauty of music and beauty of his face and personality.

Steven thank you for coming into the group and sharing your skills as a baritone. At one of the concerts, Sebastian couldn’t get the words out to the beginning of the song. You walked right over to him and comforted him. I felt this remarkable sense of peace when you did this. I have a feeling that Carlos will be in your hearts forever. RIP Carlos. You will be missed. Le hace un periodista a Urs q opina del.problema q hay con la herencia, y dice( porque habla muy bien español, aunque digan que se tergiversa lo que dijo sobre CARLOS,) que no conoce a esa señora, que solo la vio un momento en una firma de discos, miente ( como siempre) todos estuvieron en la boda de CARLOS y Geraldine, y los padres habían estado varias veces en conciertos, como en Londres y más sitios.
