Join us in this video as we give you a guide for the plus size, big and tall guests around Universal Islands of Adventure. Our friend Jonathan who weights approximately 292 lbs and is about 6"2 and wears sizes 2XL-3XL for shirts and 42 inches on pants volunteered to go with us around different rides in IOA. We will show you all the rides that have test seats and we will let you know which rides have a modified seating or not. Check out what plus size guests might struggle with when visiting Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.

I saw a few rides had a notice that guests of certain “body dimensions” may not be accommodated and guests with waists of at least 40” to test test seats. I saw a lot of videos, but most lacked in some of the critical information I needed for my mind to be at ease. Hopefully this will help some people. Waist (belt): 46” Waist (belly button): 51” Chest (no arms): 49” Chest (arms): 56” Thighs (sat): 53” Height: 5’ 9” Weight: 245 Escape from Gringotts: Rode several time. Thighs were a little tight, but not painful in anyway. Forbidden Journey: Rode twice. Arms we a little tight, but didn’t restrict my ability to ride. Hagrid Magical Creatures: Tested both be vehicles. Ride motorbike twice. No discomfort riding the ride, and presumably no issue fitting. Revenge of the Mummy: Rode once. Little tight on the thighs. Rode with no issues worth mentioning: VelociCoaste: Doctor Dooms Freefall Hulk Race through New York Did not ride or attempt to ride Rip Ride Rock It

Talking about body type, I imagine for women it’s different as well with the shoulder harness and chest.

i would say that majority of people on the heavy side, we would all have body types that would fit in the vast majority of rides if we get ourselves down to a good weight. and i dont mean get down to what the insane bmi chart says but maybe 10 to 25 pounds above that for your height and age. because ya gotta rememeber, these ride seats are all designed with the average body frame in mind that 99.9% of all people are going to fit into to. those of us who dont is an sol, and even if youre a beanpole if youre tall then you are above the average. but i will give you credit for saying people can use it as weight loss motiviation. not many "fat testing" channels do that and it almost makes larger people get the mindset that they should expect these parks to cater to them when if you just look around, theres a lot more skinny folks there than fat folks.
