It's a video proof of why you should buy the program. People are looking for videos like "how to be a great composer without knowing any music theory". Because they are afraid of facing tons of documents but that's completely nonsense. I know it' s not easy to understand music theory and harmony in a short time but theory is the key. I have searched sources which explain harmony uncomplicatingly by functionality for years and i have to say mapping tonal harmony is the best application to understand all harmony clearly and it provides opportunity for overcoming shallow chord progressions. Thanks for the video.
It is still the reverted logic to me, i believe harmonizing must be imposed starting from the melody, unlike the one sticky outlook starting from the root and building upwards without particularity and with complexity of probability. I mean functionality is even same sorta non specialized, overall spectacle that results with infinite inconsistency, so no great composer would have ever prioritized it before their narrative would be what i would think about its utilization.
I went through Music Theory for Dummies 6 years ago, and have since been trying to make theory interesting enough to enable me to move beyond "Music Theory for Dummies level". THIS! This is the thing! Thank you!!!! 🤯
one single step towards the ultimate dream gig pro; taking this system as the counterpointing probability tool underneath melodies that define which probability/ies comes as relevant and how key changes takes place within this lead melody definitive alternation of the corresponding harmonies. this is the most beautiful way i have came by so far, and needs to be the industry standard for music education. period. mind blowing jaw dropping ecstatic and idk how to get a grasp on the vocabulary to praise this and the people behind this. MAgic, shit, unbelievable.
Hey, thank you for the high quality content. You make it look so easy ! BTW what are the best videos to understand chord-scale relationship. I can't really understand the concept as he has many videos around. I saw he has the tesitura app but it's not point to get it if I don't know the core theory behind.
It would be great to see how you proceed with a melody. Listening to your chord progressing, I can create a melody. But how do you harmonize a melody with mapping tonal harmony ? I watched the ‘we wish you a merry xmas’ video in which you were reharmonizing existing chords. But finding the right chords to fit a melody can be tricky.
Question re: the MacOS version. How do you swap chords like the tap/hold on the iOS version? Trying to swap a C Triad with a C6 and cannot seem to find where to select it. Is this function available in the desktop version? Thanks
Hi , i am on the way to by the AP but before i would know if we can create our own chord progressions easily (as in IReal Pro?) Thank you for your respons
I purchased this for my iPad for the composition aspect of the program but it’s not very user friendly. When I create a new song and pick a key the circles all come up blank and I can’t find a tutorial that actual shows you how to use the program from the very beginning. Even this video skips all that. I’m looking to pick a key and audition chords and create a chord progression and use the mapping to create a chorus, bridge etc. also you are missing out not having a pc version almost 90% of the world uses windows. Why limit your market?
Hi Mark, I hear you, the app does so many things that yes, you should be able to see a tutorial from the beginning. If you tap on the “?” (Question mark) at the top right in the app you will see a button that takes you to the playlist with around 50 video tutorials. Here’s the link ru-vid.com/group/PLt-Oh3MSFwB-c3bHyqbZwRVcutve03V_8 I hope that helps. Please let me know you still can’t figure something out after watching the videos. TIP: If you open the map’s menu, look for the Map Display Preferences and enable the “eye” button that will show you all available functions regardless of the progression you are viewing at the moment. Also, enable the “i” button if you want a contextual help for every button in the app.
this all very cool but when it comes to editing in the desktop version of the software it's not so funny. i didn't found a good tutorial or manual to understand the commands on edit mode, The help section on the software it's a brief format of a proper manual without explaining every aspect and function of the editing and writing section
Hi, I am a new user of onal Harmony Pro and I have a question on how to turn on the iPad fuul screan as you have it in the video, when you play a chord on i Pad and you don't have to see the sheet music there, which I don't need to see now. Thanks for the advice Libor
As I see no other way to communicate with you I use this means to ask for an explanation on how to open Mapping on my iPAD. I see only four spider web like icons with evidently content (274.4 MB each) but cannot open them. HELP!!
This is a really great video, but I had to stop watching it because RU-vid/Google is just filling it with way too many ads. It is getting out of control!
That chord progression is very familiar... Edit: I found it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cqA9Xy4gXGk.html Edit 2: I live in a Chinese household so, I hear this song A LOT.
