He sat down and watched the butterfly for hours as it struggled to force itself through a tiny hole. Then, it suddenly stopped making progress and looked like it was stuck. Therefore, the man decided to help the butterfly out. He took a pair of scissors and cut off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, although it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man thought nothing of it, and he sat there waiting for the wings to enlarge to support the butterfly. However, that never happened. The butterfly spent the rest of its life unable to fly, crawling around with small wings and a swollen body. Despite the man’s kind heart, he didn’t understand that the restricting cocoon and the struggle needed by the butterfly to get itself through the small hole were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings to prepare itself for flying once it was free. Yes, this is beautiful. I have found the infinite rewards and infinite treasures are hidden within self control. The practice of an indifferent attitude towards ones experiences will cultivate great inner stability within the self. Do not be pulled in any direction, suffering is hidden within the seeking of pleasures and the resistance of displeasures. Life itself is beautiful when you find a connection but because of the ugliness of negativity life will be viewed as ugly. It is beautiful in a harmonious way.

Opioid withdrawals will make a man out of the weakest of us 😂 shit is actually no joke , but it taught me that there is no heaven or hell outside of myself , that I can personally experience. So there is no reason to worry or fight or chase anything that’s external , all the work that needs to be done is internal and can only be done moment to moment .
So much devotion through practice all pointing back to being COMPLETELY Authentic…. I just can’t strike another’s body. Not now not anymore. I’ve done enough of it to last a lifetime just navigating adolescence. Just can’t do it. Like I can’t walk into a room pumped up about my physical appearance anymore. I’m a Lump of earth like the other. All we have hangs by a thread I will not tatter or tear apart. Now protection from ignorance tjst would take me out . Then that’s not harming humans that’s preserving one self upon being assaulted without reserve. And never initiated from within. Seems to me that all this "Way of the Zen Monk", "Way of Bushido" is geared for the loner, the individual who likes retreats, is self absorbed, probably doesn't put family, relationship, women, wife, kids, the usual "Western Concept" of what we think of as important, career, material goods, etc. It's refreshing to see that there is an alternative to the Hell we have made for ourselves in the Western Society! The setting must be there also. No wonder avoiding cities, crowds, traffic and noise needs to be sought. I know of people who live in secluded islands off the British Columbian Coast where everything is harvested from what nature provides. They exude health and peace and don't fret about anything! They aren't necessarily Buddhist but every religious sect has a mystical dimension with similar goals. One is very fortunate if a small group has consistent harmony. Man has experimented with Communes, clubs, retreats etc. One only has to study Tibetan Buddhism for both men and women separately and ask, are they really fulfilled, really happy or is it just a way of avoidance! It's amazing what you can dream up. One only has to read the writings of Alexandria David Neel in her 20 year travel through Sikim, Bhutan, India and Tibet in the beginning of the last Century and ask oneself whether these eccentric Yogis were enlightened or disillusioned bordering on insanity. Is there room for a "Modern Samurai", Ninja, Bushido? Or is this just an attempt to be different and delude oneself into thinking they're somehow special! Especially those of a different Western Culture adopting a Medieval Way, a different language, a different mindset which to my thinking would be "fraudulent " for the simple reason that one's genetic makeup would be affected by our ancestors! Sure, there'll be some similar copping mechanisms but that doesn't mean one has to make a complete paradigm shift!

i study taoism the most but on the side i also learn and watch videos of buddhism. What i love about it that both are so connected and everytime i study taoism, there is always a connection or a reference to buddhism and vice versa ❤

I find this to be a very pleasant surprise, to observe these two individuals together speaking in regards to healing and self development. I have sought after their thoughts separately and found, on every occasion, an uplifting sense of spirit. Although I look towards the two with different goals, different intent , different personal intent to manifest what could almost be seen as opposite mind sets or schools of thought. However through the application of awareness I come to find no dissimilarities as all views are wrong views. Personally I would like to observe the two just simply discuss. Not driven by any particular topic nor intent but just converse and communicate with one another. What value could be yielded from the communion of two modern warriors of both body and mind. Or, perhaps just hear them laugh together. Such a nice experience. Thank you to the team that dedicates their lives to sharing this content with the world, particularly in the moments when it would be easier not too. You are appreciated. 🙏

I live in Maine in the USA and am presently trying to acquire a riverside property to build a Temple and training center for people in our area. So much work to do to get everything in line and to get needed permits etc. Maybe someday Master Shen Li and the Mulligan Brothers Team will come to visit when I complete my Task.

Would love to have regular lessons on here for people looking to follow various eastern religions. As I really have no idea how to start and books don’t work as well as lectures / lessons online.
