Had to reupload this video since it wasn't in 60fps because Premier Pro hates me Some say he's a quest NPC Some say he is a God Only a few know He is both Doom Eternal Remix (Used with permission): • The Only Thing They Fe...
@Coffee lover697 yes, i have been enlightened and follow the one, the only true weapons now. The bret longsword and the bret sword and shield are my best of tools
I didn't even realize it when I was making the video. I knew BLS and Shield was exclusive, but I was so positive BLS was exclusive to GK as well, so I didn't even check lmao.
@@garfherrington4423 You can make Vanilla-Knight Kruber look very, VERY damn fashionable with a Bret Longsword, it goes hand-in-hand with them well! The strong cleave also works handy with Sir Krubers push/swing speed talent aswell
Totally get why you prefer Stoicism over Joist. I love the stamina regen since I play Cata and constantly find myself in impossible situations where V2 throws the kitchen sink at me and the extra stamina regen, along with a shield for extra tankiness, allows me to hold myself together. Stagger health is really good for hordes and I generally try to build my careers to excel at the most common situations while simultaneously not being too outclassed in the more obscure ones. Also WHAT IS THIS ATTACK SPEED HATE?! Not even the CHARM?! Attack Speed TOP TIER baby. Might consider testing the Bret out again but I just love the Mace & Sword for its high intractability and speed.
Great video. only thing that I wanna add is that its the bret longsword and shield thats exclusive to GK, the normal bret longsword is usable by all of Kruber's careers
I saw this comment on the video before I had to reupload it. I honestly was 100% positive it was GK exclusive. So much so that I didn't even bother to check lmao.
Honestly, I just the Bretonian longsword because they made the heavy attack stances based on HEMA guards. You cna even see in one of them Kruber puts his thumb out on the flat of the blade which helps grant better leverage when twisting the sword from the high position and eases the weight if the blade off the hand by giving the sword something longer to balance on. It's such a nice detail that the devs didnt need to add, but did. Now, if only most of the BLS skins could not have blades as thick as nerf swords, that would be great.
Wouldn't think it would be too good, but better than parry on anything else, that's for sure. I still think SS is better, but I can see how parry would be good.
Virtue of the joust provides stamina regen, one of the best attributes in the game to have. Definitely better than half health regen, which is only situationally useful.
The Bretonnian Longsword is so goddamn fun that I rarely play the other Kruber classes without it. Foot Knight is my preferred Kruber, but I got frustrated with my friend group's runs recently and said fuck the shield, I'm taking the sword... I haven't looked back.
Im so waiting for a warrior priest vid with a very large amount of sigmar jokes and a montage of flail and shield ripping entire patrols and hoards to shreads. Great videos, keep up the good work mate!
Dang, the first ever Warhammer Vermintide 2 guide that isn't boring! I hope you make one for Outcast Engi: Just bought it and wanna see what kinda madness I can bring to the table.
Your guides are so awesome. I tried your bounty hunter build today and was just melting bosses. God it was so much fun. Also, I don't play it anymore but you should do hunt vids if you haven't already.
I really like bret sword and bret sword & shield. Bret sword for literally everything and shield for pushing into ranged rats. I cannot stress this enough. The quest talent that gives strength pots and run *concoction* , you get just enough duration to have 2 ults AND you are sped up/deal x2 damage. Run sweep or double stab for the blessed blade
brrrrrrrrro this video is a breath of fresh air, waiting on ironbreaker guide possibly(pls) and I think hunt stuff should be interesting. good luck in your endeavours!!! scrubscribed
Hunt Showdown stuff would be awesome to see because I've been wanting to get into that game, but nervous too sense it appears to be a much harder take on BRs. Loved the video too I wanna try to get all the DLC classes eventually but I was thinking either GK or WP first so me learning about the class before I get my hands on them is very nice.
this video has been the best free advertisement i think fatshark has ever had i was interested before because i thought the classes concept was cool but now i'm buying the dlc PURELY because of the sword. the class is just a bonus
I find that the crit insta kill talent can be quite good with the right build (ie executioner heavy let you bonk Chaos warrior in one bonk), and insta kill half health monster on the highest dif with the ult is pretty pogger~
Virtue of knightly temper actually has a pretty decent use if you're running a build with it, You can instantly slay monsters at half HP if you ult them which is VERY good on higher difficulties. You kind of have to build around this talent though for you to really make it useful, which is why i still prefer the others. Don't quote me on this but I think with an executioner sword heavy you can one shot CW too which is a plus.
if you run 10% chaos/armored on pretty much all, and then look to crit with it, you might be able to do it, but not sure how it scales up. It already takes a couple of hits with 25% heavy strike damage with bret sword with same trinkets so I'm not entirely sure tbh (at least when im doing deeds with friends)
I know this is old but yeah if you don't build around it then it's a bit of a trap. With the correct exe sword you can insta kill chaos warriors on legend without this talent, and it cata, without the 30% power talent you will be lacking compared to some other melee classes. I LOVE to play champion with a crit build with this and insta kill everything short of named bosses.
Free Power pot is objectively best perk, you just chug it on every hard mission point to instantly make it easy. its literally +50% power for half of the mission perk, compared to ANY reward its like 10 times better. Or you can use it with conc to delete any patrol\boss in like 5 ults. HP on stagger is much more reliable in most situations, if you missing any hp - just charge shield bash on horde and you are full HP again from 1%. Objectively better against 1000 mob units, slightly worse agaist 1000 CKs. Also i recomend 1h mace, just try it with HP on stagger - against horde you an even ignore dodging and pushing on cata, you just overheal damage. (also have insane amount of stamina... for reasons) Push range is also superior since you regen to full HP with stagger already Ult counts as crit afaik so there might be slight decrese in TTK with killing on crit against monsters. Mercenary can use Bretonian sword too, and because of passive can cleave through 3 armored rats on cata
in theorey knight temper can work with the ult since ult is counted as 100% crit and basically makes it deal 4x damage on pretty much anything that you'll encounter aside from monsters and above, right? for the parry to gain 20% power, i thought to use if with breat sword if i buy the grail dlc, since A.charging a heavy attack on the breat sword will initiate a block stance, and B.if you get hit on the first 0.5 second of doing so, you get 20% power- couple that with the 30% power buff from above and you get +50% power, so
that is where i disagree with him. if you use the double stab ult and the exe sword virtue of knightly temper as well as as much crit chance as possible you will walk around one shotting chaos warriors and killing monsters and bosses in less than a minute. It not only offers a great solution to monsters it effectively negates any threat monsters posed.
I personally like the executioner sword, the great hammer cause of its versatility in wave clearing on its heavy and its galager head mashing capabilities.
If you prefer to run mace and sword take stagger temp hp because the mace swings have super high cleave and stagger power. If you run bret sword and shield it also turns gk into a survival clutch god because you can push, then light attack to get instant shield bashes that generate boatloads of temp hp. Pairs really well with the better push angle and stamina regen talent. I also really like pairing the strength pot talent with concoction. Having multiple strength pot boosted ults turns grail knight into a boss killer that rivals bounty hunter. You can also just sip one before a chaos patrol and ult 3 times to kill every chaos warrior.
I actually find myself blocking the fire rats so often that i decided to use that talent. Also because I can literally sit infront of it and take all the burst while someone kill it
you mostly look forward to stamina regen if you run sword and shield (works very good for stamina regen trinket or handmaiden due to sword and shield movement tech). You take the heavy power damage by 25% because it increases your power to enough of a point to look for breakpoints. Most of the time you want it so your bret sword will oneshot headshot on skaven rats, plague rats, etc, which is where it actually comes in at since sometimes you'll drop it from time to time and you need instant power. Which again is basically only relevant on exe/bret because you only need so much power to oneshot them when your second option for crowd control is sword and shield. When doing deeds my friends usually run stuff like waystalkers, slayers, etc, so having the stagger w/ sword and shield is very useful due to it's strength and usability. (just hold m1, block cancel, repeat for the killer combo, best with FK+HM)
Gotta try the bret sword out now, just started using the great hammer qnd that thing is a beast its wierd though cuz your light attacks do more dmg and swing virtually so they headshot easily which one shots elits and the charged attacks deal less dmg but have a wide horizontal swing that tears through trash mobs
As I've said before reupload, Hunt gameplay would be appreciated, but it must be paired with some post-game commentary on sound cues for the uninitiated (kinda like LazyPurple slows the video down, adds a few dB to a Spy decloaking sound and lets the viewer know about the fact), especially if you play on high MMR and make desicions based on gun sounds in the distance and such
I only play cata, with mace n sword and the x sword. The mace and sword is defensive waveclear with bcr and opportunist while x sword is the fastest eleite killer.. Bretonian sword is safer, but worse waveclear and armor dps... pro tip is to dodge while doing the ult double stab as it is easy to get hit while ulting.
Grail Knight is NOT the only class that can use the Bertonnian Long Sword. ALL the kruber classes can use the Bretonnian Long Sword. (Bretonnian Shield and Sword however can only be used by the Grail Knight)
Fun fact, you can one shot chaos warriors with a crit headshot on cata with the executioner sword Smiter, heavy attack buff, and 20% chaos 10% armored Any power buff from the passive quests or from Allie’s allows you to one shot headshot without crit
Hey bro could you do a warrior priest video? Everyone else's vids are either boring or they don't fit my playstyle. Your builds are always perfect imo.
A couple of things: 1. Penitent is way better than Duty. It's infinite, requires just playing the game as normal, and you should be using Concoction to spam abilities with it, there is no downside even in Chaos Wastes. 2. Stoicism's major pitfall is you don't want to take damage at all if you can, and taking small chip damage like warpfire or ratling shots can screw it up. Joust is better for keeping yourself alive when stacked with a Stamina Recovery trinket. 3. Necklace should almost always be Health and BCR. There's no real reason not to take BCR since most damage reduction is somewhat pointless, aside from Barkskin. 4. Bret LS is nice for sure, but if you're using M&S you're better off with the Xsword due to its way better cleave and armor damage. Bret LS is only good for heavy spam half the time. 5. Unless you're doing crit shenanigans, you should be doubling up on Attack Speed and BCR on both your melee weapons due to them having different use cases. M&S is good for light add clear and unarmored enemies, X sword is better for Armor and dense hordes. 6. Knight's challenge is worded poorly as it's the first enemy hit per swing. Prioritize big enemies if you can do so safely. 7. Breton LS is available to all of Kruber's careers, with it most effective on Merc thanks to paced strikes and cleave bonuses.
Since as a Kruber 2nd Main, I mostly use the basic Sword (can't buy it for reasons) and Sword and Shield, so question. What's the difference between the normal variety and the Bretonnian kind? Are they the same or different?
Moveset is different. bls and shield uses shield bash at every 3rd Light which staggers the enemy s and s Just does 2 hit combo on Lights which actually better on hordes of skaven and its faster i think (Ps: i checked and sword and shield does 3 Light combo not 2 third one is kinda same as the first one 😅)
