Dick Lester said it was a last-minute add-on. They needed an extra scene, because the one with Paul doing an impersonation of a Liverpool "Lady of the Night" wasn't working out. They were surprised at how well George's "grotty shirt" scene came out, so they put him in with John.

John Lennon was killed in the 80's cause he married twice and George was sick and had to protect his family. then someone barged into his house and stab him in 2000. Ringo and Paul are the only ones still alive and they are in their 70's. Paul's wife Linda died from cancer since 2006.
