Hello Mike. Speaking of keeping it real...I had the pleasure of meeting you on Mackinac Island when you first arrived that early morning to start shooting Dirty Jobs. The street was still empty and you were filming a fresh pile of road apples. You shook my hand and, even though we only spoke for a minute or two, I remember thinking how nice it was to find out you were the same guy in real life that you seemed to be on TV. Genuine, personable, and REAL. Just wanted to share that memory. Thanks for all of the stories.
How this Channel has only 119k subs is beyond me. This is one of the BEST channels on RU-vid and done by someone that isn't in it for himself, or for how many "likes" or "Thumbs Up" he gets. Down to Earth, sincere, and Genuine. That is Mike Rowe.
@Frank Pitts Very well stated. What is happening now, not just the USA but the World is very very bizarre. Don't want to get into conspiracy theories, but times like this? Its kinda hard not to. Mike is one of us. Blue Collar hard working guy trying to do whats right. For some reason, doing what is right? Is wrong. Until we stand up against this tyranny?? Its only going to get progressively worse each day. I do know this. If Biden wins this year? The New World Order will be VERY pleased.
@Frank Pitts Way to take something enjoyable, and try to bend it into something political. Can't you right-wingers ever just enjoy something for what it is?
I want to specially appreciate you. thanks for your sincere comments on my post it means a lot to me. "And that's the rest of the story". Thank you for picking up where Paul Harvey left off! I found his show late in his life and didn't have the opportunity to enjoy many episodes, but the ones that I did hear were a wake up to the amazing side of history not many people have the opportunity to hear. Also, thank you for pushing hard work! A lot of my summer employees are recruited from local college sport teams and I found how easy it is to see the ones who are hard working in their sport compared to the ones who are just getting buy. It's frustrating yet satisfying. The ones who do work graduate and move one to bigger and better simply because of work ethics.

You remind me, Mike Rowe, of so many men and women that I worked with in my factory. Well it wasn’t my factory but, that’s how we treated it. Each of us putting pride into every part. Putting the customer first.
Great show Mike. Kept me going there as I thought it was the baker 👨🍳 from the windows of the world restaurant from 9/11. Ordinary people becoming extraordinarily heroic! Love it!
I can attest in the power and life saving abilities of whiskey. 4/20/16 I had a heart attack that according to cardiologist should have ended my life at 34 years old. Not have any symptoms that told me heart attack other then extreme back pain. I started drinking.. Jack Daniel's to be exact, about 12 shots in a matter of minutes.. stupid I know..but the back pain subsided. And my heart rate didnt.. I arrived at the hospital to find I was having a heart attack. After the stint was placed and I got to talk to my cardiologist he concluded the only reason I lived was because of the whiskey. I drink three fingers a day now before bed. Mike Rowe.. god bless you sir.
*Huh!? I thought the story was about 9/11 but midway through, I realized it was about the Titanic!! 🛳️ Oy!* *I guess the moral of the story is if you're gonna jump ship, get inibriated first! LOL!* *Cheers!* 🥂😉🍺 *Mike, you're a great story teller and that voice...* 😁👌
Lina K, I disagree. The moral of the story is, if you know the end is near, there's no sense is crying about it. Make the most of your last moments in this life! Go down partying like there's no tomorrow!
Mike, you are Simply the Best👍🏼💜😘 I Love Everything about you from your Good Heart, to your Beautiful Smile & Amazing Voice, I think I would Melt if I ever met you in Person🤷🏼♀️ love hearing All your stories, your dirty jobs episodes & your voice on Deadliest Catch don’t ever stop, you are So Loved😘
Mike, try an interesting story of Sam Steele of the North West Mounted Police and his encounter with Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse after the battle the Little Big Horn. Worth the look. Sam Steele surfaces several times in history, next in the Klondike during the Gold Rush, South Africa during the Boer War, and during World War 1. The guy had a pair as big as boulders and of solid brass. I think you are the right guy to do him justice.
Mike. I’m in Maryland I have a 21 year old with Aspergers. I’m trying to find a good trade for him so he can better support himself in life. Been watching you for years and know your heart is in a great place. Was wondering if u could offer advise for me. I’m in Harford county.
There are so many stories similiar to thhis of fortune favoring the courageous. Not always ofcourse, but it defies the indifferent odds. It's a paradox for sure. Looking at cold stats, it would seem I ought to fear food and beds more than heights and bears.
Wow. Charlie must have called someone before the towers fell. How else could Mike learn all of this? What, what? His customers had been dining and luxuriating? At 8 in the morning? Shoving people off the edge? Go in his place? Dang! He’s good at the plot twists.
Up until the 5 minute mark I was sure he was talking about the World Trade Centers... then when Charlie was pushing people overboard it dawned on me that he was talking about the Titanic lol
Mike, here is my concept on how to help our future considering we are quickly being replaced by robots. If you like this please pass the idea around. I have no influence and considering your media background I believe you can help. Robots replace us daily. I work in a factory that once had over 4000 workers. Now there are under 1000. All 3000 jobs were replaced by robots. My idea is Robots need to be assigned a Social Security number. And pay the appropriate taxes that the unemployed worker would of paid on their weekly paycheck. Robots contribute NOTHING to the Fed and State tax system, Social Security etc. If a robot on an assembly line works 8 hour shifts and three shifts a day it should pay the same amount of tax that the unemployed worker would of paid. This will not only help the country but most of all It might give the company incentive to KEEP the worker and NOT install a robot to replace him or her. We need to start this movement and hopefully we will keep more of us working. ROBOTS contribute NOTHING except to increase profit for the company. I've never seen a robot buy a truck yet, have you? Company wants to replace us fine. But make the robot pay taxes to help our economy. Thanks.
