I cannot wait to walk this trail. I tried with my sister in 2022 and it was blocked off because of coyote activity! Loved the video.

Another Great Video Scott and Sarah ! Alaine and I also enjoy finding nature trails like that. Alaine especially likes Sarah’s Plant 🌱 app which she is looking to download now. Alaine has a bird ID app on her phone called Merlin I believe ? that picks up bird songs and can identify numerous birds at a time ! Enjoy the rest of your summer, and as always we look forward to your next Quest ! Your friends Dan and Alaine

Thanks Dan & Alaine! The Merlin app you mentioned would have come in handy on Bassett Trace. So cool! Hope your summer is going great and you guys are doing well! ☀️😎☀️

I think you video editing was superb. Beautiful, beautiful footage. I really do enjoy your Vlogs of Colonial Williamsburg. I really like when y'all incorporate the local talent and include their contact information. Thanks for the hard work and sharing. 😊

Great video! I've also been to CW many times, but have never heard about this trail. When you finish the 1 1/4 mile trail...do you have to walk back exactly the same way you came? It's an out and back...not a loop?

we use to have an abundance of sassafras. We use to make tea with it growing up! Look for the red stem in poison ivy.

I’ve been going to CW since the 60’s and last year was the first time I did the trail. I always knew about it, but was never on my priority list as there is so much to do at CW proper. But, as you mentioned, who would think that this wonderful trail is in CW’s “back yard “. Now, if they would just re-open Bassett Hall!

Yes, it was a great find! And completely agree with opening Bassett Hall!

Loved the nature trail...never knew it is there! Sara, I too, love Redbud trees with their heart shaped leaves and have several in my SC country yard. Their leaves turn the most beautiful yellow in the fall, and they are covered with gorgeous pink flowers in spring. Great video again! Thank you!
