Perfect example of absolute corruption by certain individuals at the upper levels of command, and most notably, individuals in Internal Affairs, who are either willingly corrupt, or grossly incompetent, and should be provided with the opportunity to search for another career field, outside any part of the City.
One of hundreds of cases where police violate law, case law, and policy and investigate themselves to find no wrong doing. But what do you expect when there's no oversight of these types of things? We the people are just told to trust the system, but the people investigating police all are police who worked with the accused. These ai departments have clear biased & conflict of interest issues. The fact that these kangaroo courts have been allowed to prosper for so long shows the real state of the nation.
I know this is old, but it seems Albuquerque is one of the places that law enforcement and legal system needs to have a thorough investigation from DOJ. Good job to the investigative reporter. Glad he has not been "removed" by a fake traffic stop where the department investigated themselves and found all justified, or a "clerical" error.
They already are under the eye of DOJ and in the middle of a huge mandatory reform brought by that investigation, however, APD keeps whining about it and asking to be released from it. Obviously, they need more of it, not less. Also, the civilian oversight committee (part of that DOJ reform deal) can't keep members on board and has basically no actual power to make any change.
Who did the proofreading on that report? And who reviewed it before it was submitted? Typos are one thing, but not catching these errors in review in this case, is criminal.
They lie to cover up a computer so what makes you think that they want lie about and cover up killing you, it was a type o mistake well that type o could have sent you to prison.
unbelievable. they suck at investigating anything. some people would like to hire them to investigate their crimes like murder or robbery. they can't find crime that is so evident. everybody would go free.
So outright lies are now "typographical errors"? I thought typos was misspelling a word here and there not lying to deceive or admitting you didn't do your job.
And you know what, I found it interesting that the reporter didn't ask about "typo" #1 so when he didn't I wasn't surprised that he didn't ask about the 2nd "typo" since both should have been obvious questions.
It is happening every place. To find out if they’ll lie or cover, all you have to do is watch a captain or police officer then go in and ask if the person is there?
Police departments should not be allowed to investigate their own. They shouldn't be given paid leave pending investigation or allowed to resign/retire when being investigated. More importantly their entire jacket should be made public, including previous work history, disciplinary actions, complaints, and so forth. 100% transparency should be a law for those who swore an oath to protect and to serve.
@@CN45475 As if this kind hasn't been happening across the entire US for decades under leadership from all walks of life. Doesn't matter who we elect if the system is fundamentally broken. As if we elect Ronchetti or Grisham again anything will change? Get real. Doesn't matter if we get rid of Keller or he has another term, nothing will change in Albuquerque because none of these people actually care about fixing anything. They want money, power, and status. Politics is their way to get it.
When they run for office their PR is all lies, but we don’t know it. We are lied to from the start. Politics is corrupt - all the way through. It’s a terrible system...
It's comforting to know how well we protect our public servants. In any other line of work, producing fraudulent financial approvals and missapropriating funds would get you fired and probably indicted. Thank God they were only stealing from the tax payers. /s
An ordinary citizen who forgets to pay a traffic ticket can find themselves in jail. A wealthy individual gets away with a lot more than a citizen that just wants to live an ordinary life. Society is screwed up.
This is the biggest problem with police departments investigating their own. Even if the investigations were above board, the appearance of impropriety.
Jody Barr, Dave Biscobing. All three do outstanding work in investigative reporting. Although, as we see time and again, the reporting is meaningless because the cities' leadership takes no action.
I’ve worked in IT for 12 years and done purchasing for them. When we get an email saying they have approval for a purchase, we always get it from the budget manager just for this reason.
INTERNAL AFFAIR (lA) should be DEFUNDED and THROWN OUT all across the country. lA is the biggest JOKE in the United States. If at all, lA should be replaced by INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATORS made up of PRIVATE CITIZENS, who get replaced by new PRIVATE CITIZENS once a MONTH. So, there won't be no FAVORITES this, republican SHlT that or Democrat SHlT this... 🙂
This stuff has to stop why do they feel they can live outside the boundaries like the rest of the community and why havent you so called news stations not report on these issues until it was just out right obvious what was going on just report things the correct way or in my eyes part of the problem
If they lie about this small stuff, Imagine all the really big life changing lies they are willing to commit to save face....Some High level firings are in order here.
If any of us Joe Public peeps forged paperwork to obtain a raise and purchase a laptop, we know Ross would gleefully arrest us without question. Instead he got to retire with his pension without facing any charges. LE and public officials should be held to higher standards.
😒 Hell it's always easier to prove no wrongdoings when you are investigating yourself or your comrade's who helped you lie, steal, & commit a crime 😏 👀 THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE HERE TAXPAYERS 😉 wink 😉 wink 😉
Yep... According to them, if Lying happens on their side of the fence, they call it "OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT" as if its nothing that anyone should worry about. If Lying happens on the public side of the fence, it is a CRlME, AGAINST THE LAW and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. You must be PUNISHED and RUNG through their SYSTEM and be LABELED as a CRlMlNAL for life... ROTFLMAO!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 *If they have the NERVE to come out and say what they said to the press about his CRlMINAL activities, can you imagine what other SERIOUS CRlMlNAL ACTIVITIES they are into that NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT.* 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
THAT'S WHY It is SO HARD TO GET PUBLIC RECORDS . THEY DON'T WANT TRANSPARENCY OR TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABILITY . PUBLIC RECORDS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO THE PUBLIC , BY LAW .
And it's just not Albuquerque all kinds of wrongdoings from A to Z going on all over the state of New Mexico when it comes to Authority etc etc blah blah blah
Bro. Things are so bad here. I’m thinking of teaming up with my friends to help, if not stop, then slow the reset of crime down. Cops here are not good. They are very corrupt. We the citizen can do a lot more than they are to clean this place up. Real talk
No, dude. Yes cops are often f*ckers, but no they're not that "corrupt" in Abq, don't let propaganda misinform you. Basically what's really going on is, foreign money is trying to overthrow the US. They indirectly fund the Govt to pass laws and policies that benefits them, and the Govt along with associated corporations, colleges, news/social media, use political trends to trick the masses into supporting them via "social justice", "anti-racism", protection, etc... They want to get rid of the police, so they can institute their own politically bias policing system that lacks a constitution and civil rights. Allegedly they want the US to adapt a tracking system, so they can use that to surveil people more than a giant police force. It seems like that would get rid of a lot of crime, but the tech companies already abuse their powers for politics, so we know that won't work. Crime is a balance, it's not something that you and your friends can clean up. I'd encourage you to read up on regime changes, specifically the Bolshevik revolution and Communism, getting rid of the police is part of their plan, it's deeper than "Abq cops are corrupt."
