When I was in high school, I tore my left knee lateral ligament. I went to this surgeon, Dr. S and noticed that the only magazines in his waiting room were: the Dan Smoot Report, the American Opinion and John Birch Society newsletters. Despite his political ideology, he performed my knee surgery perfectly and I have never had any problems with that knee.

The John Birch Society was kept as created along with the old white men, but was publicly replaced by the Heritage Foundation(1970) that took complete control of the Republican party. Though Nixon was their first win and they were responsible for the Goldwater nomination in 1964. The Birchers didn't think Nixon was harsh enough and did not support him during the Watergate crime spree.

I knew a guy from Michigan who had a brother who belonged to a "secret society" (not seriously, just for lols), that collected old outhouse seats. They called themselves, "The Birch Johnners".
