I like the frequency of these new uploads coupled with the amount of detail! It's really easy to read and follow along now.

Funny how the new hope soundtrack sounds has the most modern and atonal slant to it and doesn’t rely heavily on plaining triads like the prequels

Nothing funny about it considering that the *prequels* come before this movie

The original Star Wars is my favorite movie of all time; a big part of that is because it has my favorite score of all time so A New Hope reductions are my favorite!

I think this is one of the best examples of John Williams writing in the Contemporary (1900-1950) style. You don’t often see that in original film scores.

At 1:25 it sounds more like stopped horn rather than muted.

That statement of the Force Theme at 0:30 is one of my favourites in the whole franchise.

SO glad to see these coming out again!! if you are up to a big project would it be possible to do a reduction of the epilogue from La La Land? keep up the great work!

Where did you find the original score? Hal Leonard has only published the Star Wars suite

Is there a continuation of the score we can view or buy?

Great work as usual ! But I must admit that, at bar 5, I can't unhear an f sharp on that b chord. I really hear b-f#-d#-a-c#-d#. Am I going crazy ? Great job nonetheless ! (The colour shading seems to work better like that, once again the visual cues are really a good help for everyone)

Which release do you think has the best sound quality? I think the 1993 Anthology set is the best one for all three.

The 2018 remaster is best when it comes to the original trilogy's music. Only 2 issues: not as complete as the 2 CD editions, also there are some production errors (some of the Empire tracks have noise reduction mismatch between left and right, and one channel in The Asteroid Field has too much reverb on it, the track is ruined).

So...it's the best but by far not the best? Lol

Why do you guys all call it the "force theme?'
@BlazinInfernape
@BlazinInfernape 4 года назад
because it's used in relation to the force
@rnhtube
@rnhtube 4 года назад
@@BlazinInfernape But it clearly doesn't represent that. There are tons of times when it's playing and nothing force related is going on.
@BlazinInfernape
@BlazinInfernape 4 года назад
@@rnhtube Yeah the usage of the force theme indicates something force related. Nothing force related may be going on, so its the usage of that theme that tells us the force is important at that moment. Take the "Binary Sunset" queue for example. The force theme is playing as Luke looks out at the double sunset. Nobody's using the force or anything, but the usage of that theme tells us that the force is guiding Luke. It's not perfect, but that's generally what happens. Most iterations of the force theme that John Williams uses signals that the force is somehow impacting what is being shown. Film music isn't just a reflection of what's going on, it is just as much a part of the movie as the things you see happening.
@rnhtube
@rnhtube 4 года назад
@@BlazinInfernape How about this- the motif actually represents the concept of destiny, nothing to do with the force (at least not directly). Any time you hear it, think about destiny and see how it's leagues more applicable than just "the force" which is boring. The binary sunset scene could not be any more explicitly about destiny.
@BlazinInfernape
@BlazinInfernape 4 года назад
@@rnhtube That's an interesting interpretation of the theme, and you're free to see it that way. Actually, I feel it might make more sense that way, given how the prequels used it, but know that pretty much everyone else sees it as a theme for the Force. That's mostly because it was actually originally Obi-Wan Kenobi's theme in the A New Hope, but it gradually changed into the Force theme. Obi-Wan was the audience's only connection to the Force, and with him dead, it seemed like the only logical direction to go in John Williams' mind.
