@@conradhansen6180 well, the army of the weimar was incorpored on the wehrmacht, and all of that training dont stop the soviets, so yeah, is very unrealistic that 60k soldiers could fight against 2m, and that without saying that the SA was very indoctrinate so i doubt that 60k soldiers would fight for weimar when they where in a big depression, and in a economic crisis, a fanatic soldier is a big weapon too.
As a dev in the mod, i hope we can continue updating and fixing the mod, btw it shouldn't crash now when italy declares war on the allies and Germany should have been buffed slightly, we are working on it still though
@@joe5632 What? Hitler hated what the Entente did to Germany after WW1. Alex continues to say during the video about how annoyingly weak Germany is in this mod. Which I'm pretty sure is one of the many things that angered Hitler.
Well, it would be nice to see more non-totalitarian runs but unfortunately those tend to limit your options. This game only lends itself to map painters.
Democratic Germany in Calm Before the Storm tends to actually be stronger than the totalitarian variants. Alex's first mistake was... well not forming a broad coalition.
In the Hearts of Iron spin off “Darkest Hour” by Paradox, the game starts in 1933 and I’ve always preferred how it gives you more time to build up and it’s more politically interesting in terms of shaping your nation through events and decisions.
The spirit Phoenix 792 Luxembourg you can max out your forte and AA by the time Germany attacks in the 1936 start but you can’t really mobilise much manpower.
Germany being so weak in this mod is intentional. The devs basically decided "liberalism good, everything else bad," and applied massive debuffs to literally every path that isn't Liberal in this mod. It is almost like people predicted that the mod would be horribly unbalanced and essentially unplayable, and the devs just didn't care
FYI the mod developers have tried to take a realistic approach to nations. So idk if monarchist Germany is supposed to be nerfed or you didn't play optimally, but I know Nazi Germany is supposed to eventually collapse. Even if they somehow manage to defeat the USSR.

i gotta be honst. this mod is not even finished and it at least in my opinion it is allready the best non alt hist mod there is for hoi4. Its my absolute favorit. It adds so much depth and detail at least for what i have seen of it so far. it is ture that you need to get into it a bit sicne its way harder to manage the focuses and decision than in vanilla. but if you have gotten a hold of it its awesome
I love how you can't prevent the German Empire to keep crumbling under internal pressure while threats from the outside are mounting and you just throw your hand up since there's no way of preventing the inevitable. There's a history lesson in here somewhere.
Okay so- it probably is your play style. You seem to be rushing Civ Factories while, from my experience, it is better to rush mils because you are defenseless starting off, and it's better to have a worse economy in this game here than defense. You probably won't see this, Alex, but that's just some CBTS Germany exp.
Raise of Nations is one of the best if not the best mod right now in the workshop and its updated all the time to make a game from 1900 to modern days all with focus trees, economy, events etc
Probably one of the best mods if not the best out there, I love the fact that it has the build up to ww2 and then also has ww2, obviously the balance is a little off and weird, but its still fun to play as each changed country and do each scenario. I have probably done every single possible german path, and most of the uk as well. I have really enjoyed playing this mod.

Its so nerfed because you went with the kaiser. IRL germany never was in a good state, its just that the dicatorship and military economy meant they were powerful. In reality, even if the germans one, their economy would still be afected by the great deppresion, even tough they "solved it".
