Welcome back! The park is in a state of "hot mess" but we do indeed get a whole new attraction built. It's been a while but it's nice to be back. Enjoy!

Welcome to a small new project, Brazos Square! In this project, I'm restricting myself to a 50x50 area to build an entire park! Brazos Square is a planet coaster park featuring a realistic park layout. This planet coaster series will contain several planet coaster realistic coasters and planet coaster custom buildings, planet coaster custom logos, and planet coaster pov videos. This planet coaster park will have small nods to Texas, including the name of the park and one of the main eateries.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Planet Coaster is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments. The game is a spiritual successor to the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, and is perfect for the detailer, with the third game in that series having been previously developed by Frontier.

OMG, I forgot to cut the last load screen out of the video. Enjoy a behind the scenes peek at how these episodes are made as you listen to me scroll Tiktok waiting for the park to load. Ugh. 🙄

I think that rock work looks TOO real for an amusement park. I got recommended this episode by the algorithm, and had to go back and watch all the other episodes first. Great looking park.

Love the car ride, but I think a simple dark ride could also be quite fitting there! I'm a big fan of the way the shallow plot behind the shops creates a sort of forced perspective diorama, almost like the theming was considered more viewing from the path than it was for the actual riders. It's the perfect amount of jank. Two things I could see to top off the flume: 1) a rock arch and/or overhang on the stretch along the back of the mountain, to break up the visual impact of that sheer cliff wall. Right now nothing really happens on the ride until you reach the waterfall/bear, which is almost halfway around the loop, so you could really polish the ride experience with a little more something in the first stretch. And 2) in lieu of the bridge, I could see a nice alternative in the exit path having a viewing deck running parallel to the splashdown. You could keep it pretty low to the water (the Log Chute at Mall of America is a great example of this, where the loading station is directly next to and level with the final splash). Glad to see this project again, take all the time you need with the updates! Your work is always top-notch, absolutely worth the wait.

Love the car ride. Give it a little more of a 'scrubby' look and it'll give really good like... north-west hill-country vibes. Like, lots of cedar and mesquite. Or add some cactuses and it'll feel like west Texas. You could also make it vibe like a classic dude ranch like what they've got around Bandera. Loving it.

For the car ride it might be cute to make it like a ghost train/haunted mine type thing, and you could connect to Día de los Muertos
@pessimisticvideographer5039
Glad you're back love the flume. I'm not strongly opposed to the Grand Canyon esqu cars but another option that would be (in some ways) easier would be to make another building that houses a dark ride abut the existing shops and then theme that front. A dark ride in a hot place like Texas seems like it would be fitting particularly with the flume it would cement the "cool corner" of the park.

Enjoyed watching the live premier earlier today. As for that car ride - I would keep what you have and have it be on 3 levels - one below the midway and one above it. Perhaps you can work in rock work on both sides of the path and have look like a hidden canyon. Outside of the box lol.

I like the car ride! I also think some of the remaining space should go to a family/kiddie coaster. Maybe a Wild Mouse of some sort since they don't need too much space? Name suggestion for the Flume! It really looks a lot like the West Texas deserts with how it is landscaped, and Texas just happens to have a National Park out in the desert. Maybe something like Big Bend River Cruise, or Rio Grande Rafting Company?

I think with that car ride, it should be more jank, in the way that it was an earlier installation, then the park kind of grew up around it. It's too small to do anything with, so they left it. It's also cute, and kind of inspired the theme for the Mexican area next to it maybe lore wise (your park, don't let me tell you what to do, just what I thought as soon as you revealed it). Love the park and the log flume too. It's nice seeing these pop up in my feed every once and a while.

You know what would be super Texas? A "Cadillac Ranch" - themed car ride. Lots of tacky, bright colors in a desert-y scape. It would probably be very ugly, but the real Cadillac Ranch is pretty ugly, too.

Must Choose One: > Ew, that's gross, get rid of it. (Sadly, I choose this one) > Ah, that's pretty good! I feel like you might want to make it more of the backside of the buildling being more of an artistic mural, allowing you to keep the car ride closer and giving more room for the space in between for a scene. Idk what to theme it to, since I don't know Texas all that well, but I do like the idea of a car ride there. Lol, Deef.... I think you mean Dave (Dief). He's a gem. I was expecting a little more of a scene here or there on the flume; however, I really like the final outcome: it feels budget friendly, but also interesting enough to want to ride. Plus, the styling of the rock type is really different and unique! Well done! Sending more inspiration motivation your way, because I miss seeing so many vids from a cool bro.

You could keep the canyon looking rock work around the antique car ride and theme it to Palo Duro canyon which is near Amarillo. You should also stick some cars in the ground to replicate the Cadillac Ranch which is also in that area.

I like the car ride, it’s got a kinda tackiness that actually works in a park like this. Kind of reminds me of something you would find at Blackpool pleasure beach bit like the river caves ride which is very jankey

Great log flume. Glad you’re doing well. Good to see a video. For the car ride you can have a narrow format going across the back of the buildings and back to the station. The theme can be a Texas mountain range or a North American mountain range, weaving in and out of tunnels and rock formations with elevation changes. Just an idea, once again glad you’re doing well. Take care

I was imagining having a sunken area near the boat ride might be kind of nice to add some verticality. Sort of like Super Nintendo World at Universal or the eastern end of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (near the Cave Train entrance) or like whatever is going on with Grona Lund in Sweden. You could potentially even sneak a flat ride or dark ride underground with an entrance into the sunken plaza. I could see a portion of the car ride being lowered down into a canyon which then opens up towards the larger plaza. Theming the car ride to Big Bend National Park or the El Paso area could work.

For the car ride you could do something in connection with the Natinal Park Service and theme it around roadtripping to see the natural wonders of Texas. I know there are quite a few National Parks in the state and you can dress up different areas of the ride after different parks.

I think that waterfall with the western theme could work. I would run with the water fall too but incorporate almost like a ravine with the car ride going down into it on that straight away against the path. Make the waterfall go into it and sparkle it up with some theming in the ravine with the car ride would look great.

Maybe instead of the car ride you could put a small kids coaster in that spot since all the coasters in the park are pretty thrilling. Also it's probably too late now but usually you want the trough on flume rides to slope slightly down hill so the water will flow.

I feel you with not liking what you're working on being a motivation killer. I'm in the middle of doing my portfolio and spent last year procrastinating on it because I didn't like what I was working on. Haven't found a solution, but my current method is to work on something non committal to cleanse the palette. Doesn't matter if it's shit, because it's only relevant for a few hours then I can delete it or move on. Though I'm happy just seeing an upload wherever we get lucky enough to get one. With the track ride behind the main street, you could use the backside of the building to create another a street façade so it becomes a street race rather than a rural drive. That way it wouldn't matter if the façade on the track is higher than the cinema because it can become like a city backdrop, especially with forced perspective making it look like the street continues behind the building.

Keep the car ride it's the best kind of corny. If you treat it as more of an ("educational?") diorama to be viewed from the path while you decorate it you could squeeze the perspective a bit with some fore-middle-background work, but no matter what keep the Shiny Bison™ for sure. Also, for someone who adamantly promised not to do interiors on this build the churro stand technically counts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
