The thing about buying books is so me 🤣 I make rules like I can't buy another book until I've finished the one I'm on or the next 3 in my tbr but then I see nice second hand books or a recommendation takes my fancy and suddenly I have 10 more
Legendborn!!!! I inhaled that book! It was my favorite of the year. New auto-buy author for me. I cannot wait for the next book to come out. HOLY MOLY! It was SO GOOD!! I hope you love it as much!!
Can you make a video/q&a about your job at indigo? Do you have to read many books for it? How you got the job, selection process, pros and cons... I heard that the interview is actually an audition and it’s very... special hahah
If you're into middle grade fantasy you should totally pick up Keeper of The Lost Cities!! 🤩 The series is so underrated and it gets better and better 😍
Ace of shades is one of my favourite series 💖 It actually does have a little bit of SoC vibes. The romance is so cute. The second book has a girl gang. It’s awesome! ✨ I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it.
the sheer energy she has in this video brngs me joy ^_^ PS: I didn't even realised your hair was coloured, bu i love how it looks today! (vv shiny and soft)
Your hair looks so pretty! I'm excited to get to Legendborn as well, I love the new covers for Mirage and Court of Lions and I kinda wanna buy them lol, I'm also really looking forward to Star Daughter and Goddess in the Machine. Great haul!
Can’t wait to read these books you give the best recommendations. I have read Blood & Honey but I will keep my comments to myself, I believe there will be a third book to complete the series!
I love that hair color!!! I'm looking for something the same! My hair is black but I want either light chocolate highlights or an ombre... not sure yet
I actually had to do the same thing and I totally used my discount too!! My last day is coming up this week with Indigo. Unfortunately I don't have another job lined up like you but I'm hoping to start a book blog and work my way into the publishing industry.
KMM’s Fever series is really fun! She started out with romance novels and I think you can see that influence in the series, in the early books in particular. But overall, great world building and likable characters. Hope you enjoy it!
Have you read Son of a Trickster? It's an urban fantasy (kind of, the fantasy doesn't come in too much until the very end) with an Indigenous main character, and it's set in Canada (fellow Canadian here). I LOVED it and I think you'd like it
Alright, you’ve convinced me. When I first heard about “Frankly in Love,” I wanted to read it, but the synopsis left me less than enthused. However, your description was so passionate and excited that I’m gonna give it a try😄
Great Haul! I’ve recently been disappointed because I ordered crooked kingdom from amazon and when it arrived there were no red pages, and an ugly Netflix show sticker for shadow and bone :/
is it premature of me to be wanting a darlington & alec romance in ninth house. i LOVED the book and don’t mind it existing with no romance but idk i see potential there and i would... like to see it... perhaps the book has no inkling of romance yet here i am thirsting... ANYWAYS i’m glad to see another person who enjoyed ninth house! i love leigh’s writing so it was easier for me to like but i saw so many negative and conflicting reviews and people saying they DNF’d. it was kinda confusing bc of the info dumps but i let myself cruise through those and fell in love with alex’s strong character, the intrigue of the secret societies, and the way leigh wrote paranormal beings. my only complaint is that of every single book i’ve ever read, this one i’d say needs a trigger warning the most. there’s some stuff in there that was.. wow. i’m so sad we won’t be getting a sequel until at least 2022
I really enjoyed ace of shades. its not premium literature or sumn but its entertaining. also its absolutely nothing like six of crows. i thought it would be but it really wasn't
I read the Darkfever series years ago, and I had to stop because I didn't like the way it was going. It went darker and darker, but I was a teenager so I guess it was too graphic for me at that moment. But I'm intrigued to see what your thoughts are!
Legendborn sounds amazing on surface but it didn't deliver on page for me☹ it became another YA fantasy with all the common tropes and all the members of the secret society are rich white kids soo😪 very interested to see what ur review will be!!
I think the issue people have with the inheritance cycle is how it comes off as Lord of the Rings rip off, with very close characters and names. But...even though I see that I, as a LotR lover, still enjoyed it myself[at least the first book].
How U gonna compare A BLACK BOOK WITH A VERY OBVIOUS BLACK GIRL ON THE COVER to Jenanie??? Not only is this HELLA anti Black (and not even accurate, sis has a whole ass Afro on the cover) y’all CONTINUOUSLY deny Jenanie of her South Asian Heritage. The fact that she’s had to mention multiple times that she IS NOT BLACK is actually ridiculous at this point.
@@SincerelyTahiry you don't have to be black to look like someone tf . Why would you even include race in your comment. I,ve only watched 1 or 2 vids from her so don't assume that i know stuff about her.Acting like i'm supposed to know everything-
@@tanisha._b9033 duh u dont have to black to look like someone, but Jenanie dont look like the girl on the cover. And i mentioned race because the author was very intentional with making the MC LOOK black and saying a non black person looks like her is irratating af to the ACTUAL black girls who felt represented by the cover. All bipoc dont look alike. You know damn well u only saw curly hair and dark skin and swore they looked alike which is IGNORANT. But anyway chile argue with your mother 🙄
love your videos!! so cool that you work in publishing :) just a comment but im not a fan when people (of course a lot of people do this not just you hahah) introduce a book by saying that there's a great plot twist or something; it always feels a little bit self-defeating to tell people about a surprise twist at the end bc then it's not a surprise :( i dont mean to offend, just thought id point it out!
