The interesting part is how the players in the league seem to be unable to understand how much not highlighting Caitlin in the Olympics cost each of them both Financially and by failing to expand the Brand. They complain about the money and do absolutely nothing to expand Revenue opportunities.
That's because you are correlating two things that are not necessarily related. Making more money and allowing someone to take the lead regardless of money are two different emotional occurrences. You all keep trying to relate these two emotions when in fact, in this situation, the group ego/hate far supersedes their desire for money. You have to understand that the aging veterans who are already on their final contract will not be privy to the larger contracts, as well as the lower end players won't exponentially profit from the league growth either. So you have aging stars that won't profit from the CC effect, and you have current stars who will profit from league growth, that the profit takes a back seat to having to share the spotlight, or in their minds, take a back seat to CC. Hatred can be a much more powerful emotion than greed or survival.
I see you’ve never been to the Olympics before. It’s not about CC or any of the players, it’s about whether the town in which they’re playing hometown team is playing. Most of the cities that they’re playing in, is following their home team to other cities. Now if the USA Plays Italy in their city then you’ll see a full house. We travelled from city to city to see the USA play in 2020, and a lot of the time there wasn’t a lot of people in attendance. Now the NBA was packed mostly every game because they knew the players.
