Yeah only if I bought it in my house I could've bought two so I can do 1v1 practises and just show off my skills when I go to Tokyo Tournaments if they still have one lol
While living in Tokyo I met a random kaishain (office worker), middle aged and pretty average looking. He saw my car themed jacket and wanted to talk in english (this is kinda normal in there, they want to talk english with foreigns). When I told him I was into cars and driving, he then told me his story: Back in the day he used to be a touge racer. AE86, Silvia S12, S13, he drove everything in the mointains, both grip and drift. Then moved to Tokyo when drag racing was the cool thing. Modified his S13 into a drag monsters 600 HP SR22. Then the Wangan era came and switched to R32 GT-R, then to RX-7 FD3s for a more lightweight and agile car. He also had a 180SX for drifting at tracks like Mobara Twin. This guy has basically drove everything in every single front. Nowdays he was just a office worker with a family in Tokyo and his only car was a tiny Honda S660 (the new one). Still, I had the sensation this guy would obliterate anyone on the touge with his tiny S660.
Just cause we are adults now and go to work everyday doesn’t mean we weren’t rebels in the past, it’s not even that we can’t be rebels now, just isn’t worth it for a multitude of reasons
@@Zerlot and it's not even time that does old age it's our bodies that can't keep up the work like how if you use a car a lot of times it will eventually stop working so do you're research
@@Zerlot time doesn't actively kills us it's just our bodies that stop working and eventually diseases and sickness kills us off because our immune system is weak
imagine if he was a street racer who ran the streets of irohazaka when he was younger but due to a crash he had to trash his car, after years passed, him having a job, he noticed there was a arcade game that had his home mountain pass and a ton of nostalgia went through him, he showed everyone how he ruled the streets when he was younger and he felt the excitement running through him. just imagine
@@guardraillovah7753 I started on ID6, so HURRICANE, HURRICANE MAAAAN (man!) and Irohazaka are forever together in my mind. Can’t go wrong with Ken Blast tho, chick makes some good shit 👌
12 years later found this.. everytime i play one of theese arcades i frigging clench my cheeks everytime i go do a drift for some reason it just feels realistic as heck
Two years ago I entered an arcade in Akihabara, Tokyo at night and it was like 5 floors of chain-smoking Japanese businessmen playing arcade games. I found the experience a bit sad and disturbing.
Doesn't he know this track? After this corner there's a sharp left and he's not slowing down... That freaking Idiot is gonna cra- *_NANI!?..._* *_BUSINESS MAN Dorifto!?_*
So many good memories having a wallet full of cards from this game with each car. The only way to keep track of who was next was with quarters on top of the dash of the cabinet or using a marker of some sort. Good times
Kaziek Kucykowski *TRIGGERED* Hahaha sorry, but i have my standards. But judging from your triggered reply, i think it's clear who's the virgin here who still live in their parents basement.
Nah its a habit went you do it one time you are gonna do it again every time like me every time i play a driving game even though i play on console i still have the feel of driving in real life
He do be smooth with it, I can also see the lines he's taking and the way he enters a corner with such precision its like he's a pro pro driver, before entering the corner you can actually see him take more of the outside to maximize turning
Otaku Gamer its nice that its not only a place for teenagers to have fun but for adults to release stress too, considering that overworking is an issue in japan.
. This game isn't realistic, the way how you corner is just not realistic, drifting isn't that easy with all those weight transfer, if this is real life, most of the driver would end up at the bottom of mount akina in no time(Falling)
I feel for this guy. I'm the same. Having your normal life, your wife, your kids, going to school for a talk with the teachers. And, in the night, taking the LS400 out for a drive on the mountain roads behind the town.
I remember seeing this video when I knew absolutely nothing about this game or anime and now here we are today and he's still driving the shit out that gtr
LEST3RR wrong usage of simp but I get what you were trying to convey and I agree. I play driving games, but I can’t really say their difficulty since I’ve played them for longer than I can remember. If you can define the vertical axis of the 5th dimension, you can probably learn how to drive in a game. Either die a gamer or live long enough to be a boomer.
@T hddh idk man. The traction on those things are insane and it doesnt wiggle much while exiting corners. Probably because its an arcade game but its also offered for consoles. Kuddos to the guy tho, im shit at initial D
I used to love this game. There were only three cabinets that I knew of in the Houston area--- the two in Baytown still gave the little card for your progress, but only one had a functioning steering wheel. When the functioning one also broke, I'd sometimes drive 45 miles to Katy Mills mall to play theirs..... but one day, it simply disappeared...
Hello again. YT Algorithm recommending this gem again. After so long, I still hope I can see Initial D again for international arcades. See ya again maybe after another few years.
