In this video, I share my cooking with some Japanese-representative vegetables and noodles. This food helps improve the functions of our digestive organs and immune systems. It is also helpful to save money because all the ingredients I introduce in this video are good prices for those who have a small budget.

I love these cooking videos so much, they're so calming and chill like spending time with a friend on a casual afternoon. It's also cool to listen details about every dish

I just watched your video about "your tiny issue" (English language) where you said that you struggle to talk about complex things. I gotta say, most native speakers can't talk about philosophy/biology in their native languages. The fact that you can make videos in English and people understand you is enough of a proof that your English is good, especially with how different Japanese and English are.

👍 Good to see that you do use those carrots' stems and leaves! Many people would discard them. Some Italian "pesto" sauces use carrot/beetroot/radish/... stems and leaves too, in lieu of basil! Did you know that we have millions of neurons all along our digestive tract? It's even called "the second brain" 😲🙂 Great video, as always! 👍👏

I enjoy how you talk about food and the words you use to explain taste! It’s very insightful ❤I love mushrooms they add a nice earthiness and the leek is fresh and uplifting! Off topic but I was wondering if you like music? If so what kind of music do you enjoy! I know for some people music isn’t really enjoyable for some with mental illness. Would love to know your opinion!

I love Japanese food. Especially noodle dishes. I always have miso paste in the pantry and grow some vegetables. Only thing I am hesitant to try is natto. Maybe one day because I do beleive it is power food.Lucky that you can cook your own food. That is always the best! Thank you for sharing. Cheers

Hello, a very healthy and unusual meal. I like soba noodles too they are made from buckwheat. I wish we could get leeks like that in the UK (there is mostly green and not enough white which has such a delicate flavour). I used carrot leaves once before but found them uncomfortable to eat (they were very harsh on my throat). Enjoyed the video very much.

Your English is fantastic, your accent is not super thick, and you're very easy to understand. I heard the Japanese Economy is struggling right now, I hope you're doing well despite the dropping value of the Yen ( A little while ago, 90 yen was 70 cents. Today it's 60 cents.)

I’ve never had the leaves of a carrot before! They look really tasty though. I have some mental issues of my own, and have always wondered how much my digestive health affects that. It’d be curious to see how a change in diet could affect things
@imjohnfreeman

Hello again! Thanks for another video Yutaka. Those are the thinnest, leafiest carrots I've ever seen! Here in the UK carrots are always heavy on the root and light on the leaves. I've never seen such a leafy carrot. I've never eaten tofu, but I understand that it is quite an efficient 'filler' for meals. Also, you said that Japanese doctors said our brain is linked to our stomach: this is the conclusion of a lot of western studies too. It seems that our gut bacteria heavily affects our state of mind. In the past-before modern medicine-people placed a lot of value in our diets, what we consumed, affecting our overall health. They may not have fully understood the underlying causes, but perhaps they had a point. In light of recent research, it seems like the digestive system is heavily linked to mental health. A little English tip: early in the video you used the word 'poverty' a lot. In the word 'poverty', the 'stress' is on 'Pov'. POV-er-tee, rather than 'pov-er-TEE' as you pronounce it in this video. Your English is already very good for a self-taught speaker, but I hope my help can improve it further.

Furthermore, I wish we had mushrooms like those you use in this video here in the UK, at a reasonable price. Strangely, the only mushrooms I can buy for a reasonable price are much bigger ones that shrink to tiny proportions in the pot.

hello Yutaka! i've only ever had fried soba noodles (Yakisoba, i think?), this looks like a much healthier alternative! i also have a limited budget, i understand your logic in saving money and think it is very wise. these ingredients tend to be pretty expensive in america, but i think it is because these ingredients are usually imported and not local. i also dislike carrots, so i will have to look for those little thin carrots with the roots still on. that is a very beautiful knife, by the way!

Looks good, we also use leek for soups in Venezuela. It's especially good for the "pisca andina": a potato soup... Very simple, you could try that.

Dreaming of that face again It's bright and blue and shimmering Grinning wide and comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes On my back and tumbling Down that hole and back again Rising up and wiping the webs and the dew from my withered eye In Out In Out A child's rhyme stuck in my head It said that life is but a dream I've spent so many years in question To find I've known this all along So good to see you I've missed you so much So glad it's over I've missed you so much Came out to watch you play Why are you running away? Came out to watch you play Why are you running? Shrouding all the ground around me Is this holy crow above me Black as holes within a memory And blue as our new second sun I stick my hand into his shadow To pull the pieces from the sand Which I attempt to reassemble To see just who I might have been I do not recognize the vessel But the eyes seem so familiar Like phosphorescent desert buttons Singing one familiar song So good to see you I've missed you so much So glad it's over I've missed you so much Came out to watch you play Why are you running away? Came out to watch you play Why are you running away? Prying open my third eye Prying open my third eye Prying open my third eye Prying open my third eye So good to see you once again I thought that you were hiding And you thought that I had run away Chasing the tail of dogma I opened my eye I opened my eye I opened my eye I opened my eye I opened my eye I opened my eye I opened my eye and there we were
