I have recently decided to give jazz a try starting this year and have picked up alot of classics and most of Blue Note's catalog, and then I found your channel and have been blown away learning about these groups I have never heard of, thank you Kenny I really appreciate your videos, from a 34 year old late bloomer now into jazz.

I’m a big fan of Latin Jazz so Cal Tjader has a place in my collection, I have a few of the albums you showed. He does a song called “I Showed Them” on his self titled Cal Tjader lp, Fantasy Records early 70’s it’s highly recommended. I’m also a fan of Hogan’s Heroes, so Robert Clary aka LeBeau is always great to watch. Keep posting videos I’ll keep watching..✌

I listened to both of your recommendations today & if I had to rate them, I would give Stan Clarke's (Children of Forever) a 7 of 10 & Cal TJader (Good Vibes) a 9 of 10. Thanks for the recommendations.👍

Unfortunately, the title cut "Time Exposure" borders on disco, and doesn't sound like fusion at all.

Yeah...TIME EXPOSURE is one of my least favorite SC albums. By 1984, Jazz Fusion had played itself out. It was the day of MTV, Pop/R&B/Funk...some Jazz heavyweights tried their luck...a lot of those records don't stand the test of time. IMO.
