Another great adventure. That Wikiloc is brilliant - and I got you to thank for bringing to my attention - it is wasn't for that app we would of struggled last year after we split from the organised tour
What a brilliant couple of videos. I live in Barcelona and go up to the mountains to wild camp. I don't drive but there's loads of meet up groups that go but also, you can get trains and coaches that take you up to the villages and then you can just hike from there with a backpack with enough for 2/3 days. Not been to Moripol before so will have to check that place out as it's not far from a few places I've been up there. It's a spectacular place isn't it? Thanks again, can't wait to get back out there!
Cheers! You are lucky living in Barcelona; fantastic city. You could spend a lifetime exploring the mountains in that region, the Spanish pyrenees is one of my favourite places on earth. I was due to be sailing to Spain in 5 days time but it will have to wait now. Safe travels 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors aye, it's a beautiful city. I'm originally from Stanley actually and going from your accent, you're from not too far away from there yourself. Sorry to hear about the sailing trip, hopefully soon! Stay safe!
@@Adventure-Outdoors long story short, have friends who've lived her for years, I visited again a few years ago and just stayed. Love the place and will hopefully end up living further towards the mountains, as the city, although beautiful, is quite polluted. Keep up with the great vids, once it's all over, going to be looking at those fire anchors from the metal work place, if they deliver to Spain. They look amazing and easy to pack. 🙂
Lonesome Drifter nice! Get yourself an old finca up in mountains, what a life that would be. I’m sure TJM metalworks post worldwide, I think he sends most of his bushcraft stuff over to Japan 👍
Loved this video mate! Masterchef'ing, offroading with full articulation so locks are needed. Top landsape views! Liked that you where chiiling a couple of days at the sea, good for the family piece 👌🏻😜
Thanks! On this trip I used a couple of the Vibraction road books, they're a good option for getting off road without having to do much planing. I've followed a few of their routes now, they're well worth a look......www.vibraction.org
Tamariu is one of the most expensive places to eat out on the costa brava, beautiful small town, just expensive. However, I did enjoy my meals there with the wife
Hi, cheers! The rear bumper is made by AFN and I purchased it from Devon 4x4, they'll say it'll take 4 weeks for delivery but this really means 6 months!!!
Thanks for sharing , I always make a point to set my wife down and show her if a "classy lady "like you're wife can wild camp so can we , she is getting better .
Cheers Gary, the weather will be perfect in October. We were there late September in 2017, the autumn was just starting to kick in, still hot during the day and mild at night, probably the best time to visit I reckon 👍.
Paul Workplace Safety Group One of the main reasons was the noise the canvas tent made in high winds, it was horrendous. The hard shell tent is also easier to put up and pack away, it’s a bit more streamline and you don’t get the overhang when set up. The dark material also keeps it dark inside so it’s easier to get a lie in! The negatives are the price for one thing and it’s a real nightmare getting it on and off the vehicle. It also takes a fair amount of space up on the roof. 👍
Brilliant video! I wish you would invest in a winch, or at least some recovery tracks. Travelling alone, you never know what can happen. Love the ruins. Do you research them when you get back home? I would have to find out more!
Cheers Neale! I do have a pair of recovery tracks, I keep them under the roof rack on the canopy, I've only ever had to use them once in Morocco 2015. I think we'll begin to upgrade things on the truck over the next 12-18 months I reckon, suspension upgrade and winch bumper are first on the list. I do try and find out about the abandoned places but there is very little information about them, I guess there are so many abandoned villages in Spain that they're of little importance to most people, I reckon the locals will know all about them. I find them fascinating though.
Sensible upgrades. Better to have it and never need it, etc. Yes, the villages are sad, yet beautiful in there own way. Definitely makes me want to get over there and explore.
Great stuff. Saved these two to binge on in one go! We travelled the same road at the end of the video in 2017 driving south down to the French Riviera. It was amazing. Black pudding and mushroom sandwiches perched on a hill between some of the hair pin bends watching everything go by as it was a weekend for the local bikers from Ducati’s to bag loads of RT’s and GS’s! . A good few hours spent 😎 . Tell me mate, what made you put the tent up front rather than on the canopy? Issues with overhang? That rear bar is weathering nicely ! Cheers 👍🏻
Cheers! Yeah that part of the route of is great, I'd love to get up into the Pyrenees on my motorbike but I reckon I'd struggle two-up. I moved the tent onto the cab as it was overhanging too much at the back, and still taking up space on the roof rack over the cab; it works much better this way, I don't know why I didn't do it in the first place. 👍
Hi, saw all youre videos, Norway, Sweden ( Torby I was last year ;-) ) Just wonder what kind of tires you use.... Keep traveling Scandinavia ! maybe we will meet some day !!
All I found was local lager Lee, Mahou and Argus. I don't think the Spaniards have the same type of craft industry that we have, the real ales that I came across where all imported from the UK! 😂👍🍺
