A video I made for Missy. A young girl who was murdered back in October 1, 1985 by her two best friends. Some rare photos including a picture of her mom and brother. RIP Also you can watch a "Killer Among friends" which is based on her story.

Such a sad story, I saw the TV movie " A Killer Among Friends" when I was kid, and I scared me so much. I saw it again recently on lifetime, and found out that it was a true story. I can't believe that Karen Severson could so easily kill her when she had been her friend since childhood, and the fact that she decieved Michelle's mother, and was able to go on with her daily life without any remorse or thought for what she's done is horrible. I pray that Michelle's mother & family have found some level of peace, may The Lord be with them

pinkbutterflygrrl227 yes it makes me sick Karen is a Psychopath she got out due to her Multiple Sclerosis which I saw her on dr Phil she looked fine to me again Karen shows no remorse and still lies and blames the victim and the other girls there Laura is responsible I will never excuse what she did but the family forgave her she took accountability for her role to their satisfaction and she keeps her head down where Karen jumps at any publicity anyone will give her also I believe had boys done this they would have got harsher sentences despite their ages which was another excuse I heard for their light sentences I believe they were both under 18 at the time though its confusing and it took 3 years before they were caught when Eva the other girl came forward some say she was bullying Missy too Ido not know I do know without her testimony the case may have not been solved for a while or ever unless Laura caved which is kinda what happened after confronted with Eva's story if that part of the movie is accurate because Karen had gotten away with it she was not about to give in Psychopathic evil witch that she is

For real, she got on doctor Phil and was still denying she was in on it with Laura. She was denying putting the log on her head and said that she was forced to do it and just went along with it. There are two types of people in this world GIVERS and TAKERS. The minute you see someone is a Taker get them OUT of your circle of friends they will cause you nothing except misery. You don't have to be horrible about it but don't be available if they want to hang out, they will soon move on to use someone else that's their nature. I watched this movie many years ago, not knowing it was based on a true story until a few years back. I'm truly, so so sorry to this beautiful young lady's family! And for the one girl that got out of prison, (I believe just one is out, but I'm not completely sure) I hope that this stunning young lady that you, and your friends murdered in cold blood haunts your dreams EVERY DAY AND NIGHT THAT Y'ALL NEVER GET A MOMENTS PEACE!!! And, to know that you're sitting at the dinner table breaking bread with her grieving family, knowing all along you killed their precious daughter, sister, aunt, etc. takes a special kind of evil!!!!! God, please bless Missy's family, and hold them in your loving arms until the day they all see her beautiful face again in your kingdom in heaven! Rest in peace, Missy, I never knew you, but know people, even if they never met you love you. God bless!

Jennifer Devereaux the mastermind got out in the 2000s and the other got out a year after that Karen the mastermind tried to say she needed out due to her Multiple sclerosis they served 21 and 22 years I may have that backwards anywho Laura (Carla) reportedly has been forgiven she showed remorse and stayed low after her release where Karen the mastermind of the crime continues to haunt the poor brothers as of recently Irene has joined Missy so its her siblings left they got a law passed where people like Karen cannot profit from their crimes even after prison Karen wrote 2 books about the crime one under Kay Crane the other her real name the first is about her life and the crime both may be anyway they are both crocks of her shit lies she cannot tell the truth if she wanted to she is Narcissistic Psychopathic pathological liar

I remember when this happened....Missy and I were born the same year, and she lived about 20 miles from where I did. Like Missy, I was really loyal to my friends, and dealt with cruelty from so called "best friends" due to jealousy :( Many years later, I had a next door neighbor named Eve. We were friendly with each other, and then after she moved out I finally found out that she was the 4th girl in the car that fled the scene when the murder happened. They used a pseudonym in all of the books.

They were jealous of her because she had everything. She had the looks, the body, beautiful hair, popular loved by many, the perfect mother, doing well at school and was going off to college. Most of the boys were infatuated with her. Missey was everything Karen and Laura were not and could never be.

Yup you can just tell from the old photos Missy was a gorgeous girl and Laura and Karen were ugly ducklings, especially Laura. The fact that they cut her hair before the murder just shows how badly they wanted to make Missy feel ugly before the end of her life. I saw this story on the show "deadly women" on ID channel. Its just terrible. ANd to add insuly to injury 1 of the girls moved in with missys family after she killed her, like trying to assume her identity or something. Teenagers can be cruel with their jealousy and it seems to be getting worse in more recent times, like with school shootings and different things among teenagers. This is a really sad story. Hopefully if at the very least, a lesson can be learned here for other girls... RIP Missy
