Reminds of a friend I made in freshman year, she was nice and all but would sometimes make me the butt of her jokes especially in front of guys. I wasn’t really interested in dating anyone at the time, I never really had a bf before. In 10th grade however this boy from school added me online and started messaging me and well he seemed pretty nice. We started messaging a lot and after a few weeks he asked me out I said sure why not. The next day I brought him to my hangout spot with my friend and she was just giving me the silent treatment and ended up just leaving. Come to find out she actually had a crush on him. Mind you I’m at her house and talking to her all the time and she never once said anything about him, also I had met him online and told her about it. I was hopeless she was one of my only friends, the next day I decided to breakup with the boy because I valued my friendship with her way more. I went to her and told her I was sorry, I didn’t know she liked him and that I had broken up with him, it didn’t change our friendship much she started talking to me again for a few weeks but her jokes were harsher and she began building another friendship leaving me as a third wheel. She even began talking behind my back. Luckily after that I built the courage to just cut her off completely and I slowly began making other friends that were actually caring.

Just brought this on dvd it like today. But my stuipd tablet felt on my dvd player n n made the dvd skp n now certain parts r skip. I may buy it again.

This sucks that this movie is no longer on RU-vid. I remember when Lifetime and TNT used to play this movie a lot. If anyone is interested look up the Dr. Phil show and one of Missy's killers got released from jail from prison and she went on the Dr. Phil show and gave a bit more details on what really happened the day Missy was murdered. I thought this was an excellent movie and great acting by Patty Duke and Tiffian Amber Thiessen.

I saw this movie on television when I was in grade school. I just re-visited this film after learning about the Sumerfield 5 killing, but I think Charlie Ely was more like the 4th girl here who ran away, but she ended up with 10 years in prison for being present. The others all got life in prison, and the mastermind is on death row.

Growing up is hard to do... sometimes even deadly. Envy turns best friends into lethal enemies. When a popular teenager is murdered, friends vow to find the killer. They won't have to look very far. Probably one of the most notorious cases. In Arlington Falls, 3 teenage girls share everything. They played with the same dolls, they swang on the same swings. They slept over at each other's houses and they even basically shared each other's mothers as nurturing moms in the community. Growing up on the same street, Jennifer Anne Monroe (played by Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) and Ellen Holloway (played by Margaret Welsh) think of each other as sisters. Ellen was at Jenny's house everyday or Jenny was at Ellen's house everyday. Carla Lewis (played by Angie Rae McKinney) lives just around the corner. Carla came in the scene, I would say, maybe the same time as Ellen. They were all very close friends. Usually, when you have a best friend, you have one but it was them three. At 15, life takes them down very different paths, when Ellen becomes a single mom. They were still friends, but they weren't as close as they used to be. Jenny started hanging out with different people, doing her own thing. Jenny is footloose and carefree. Ellen's world is baby, bottles and resentment. By the time they were 16, Jennifer Anne Monroe had become a swan, so to speak and Ellen was less successful. For once, Ellen and Carla would have have been happy for Jenny, but in their teen years, it's different. There were mounting jealousies, particularly with Jenny's beauty and her charm and her boyfriends. That was the root of the problem with Jenny, Ellen and Carla. I do not think Ellen and Carla knew how to deal with the feelings they had for Jenny. Their feelings were changing from childhood-friendship love to I don't know, something else. Things go awry when Ellen and Carla accuse Jenny of trying to steal their boyfriends. She was very hurt. She was very sad. There were real strong animosities emerging and threats too. Their friendship is ruined but Ellen and Carla are planning one last playdate with Jenny. Carla said that she wanted to pick up Jenny to hang out and make amends, I guess and Jenny and her mother, Jean (played by Patty Duke) talked about it and Jenny said "Yeah, it's good." Jenny ran to the car and then came back and told her mother, Jean that she loved her. Jean was like, "Just go and do whatever you're gonna go do." Jenny said, "OK, see you later." Jenny thinks the 3 girls will be together again like the happy times they shared for a decade. Jenny's wrong. I don't think Jenny had any idea the danger she was in from her friends. In Arlington Falls, childhood memories are being torn apart by teenage jealousy. 17 year old, Jennifer Anne Monroe can have any boy she wants. Her lifetime girlfriends, Ellen Holloway and Carla Lewis can't stand the competition but pretty soon, Jenny's conflict with Ellen and Carla is gonna end. I think when Ellen and Carla took Jenny out to the park that day, they were planning on killing her. Ellen brought Jenny's 3rd friend, Kathy Pearl (played by Janne Mortil) along but she wants none of the violence and flees. The attack by Ellen and Carla on their friend, Jenny was not only brutal, it was humiliating. They had tried to degrade her and torture her a little bit as if to destroy her beauty and charm to rub her out. They pushed her down underwater. She ended up face down in the stream, beaten and abused and drowned in 8 inches of water. Jenny only weighed like 90 pounds and the log was like over 100 pounds. They put the log on there to finish the job. Jenny's mother, Jean expects her daughter to come home elated. Instead, she receives a strange call. 3 days later, hikers discover Jenny's body. Somebody had beaten her rather severely. She had actually drowned in the stream, so she was alive when she was put there. That evening a police car showed up with 2 detectives and they came in. Ellen twists the knife even deeper. She moves in with her victim's family as if taking Jenny's place. So much of betrayal. There's a lot of hate that Jenny's family feel towards her for doing that. There is no real words for it to know that a person could be like that and do that. The murderer was sitting right next to them during that whole time. But not everyone is fooled. The police immediately suspect Jenny's girlfriends. Well, best friends quite often kill best friends and the manner in which the little girl was put into the stream and especially the cutting of the hair, it all just seemed to fit together right at the beginning. But without any solid evidence, the police can't act. Then sometime later, another death prompts a confession from the only eyewitness -- Jenny's 3rd friend, Kathy Pearl. Her brother had recently committed suicide. The grief she felt -- she knew that Jenny's family was feeling for so long and that Ellen and Carla should not be able to get away with it. So, she finally reported them and they immediately made the arrest. Some time later, Ellen Holloway and Carla Lewis are convicted of murder in the second-degree. Both are sentenced to 15 years to life. Their first parole hearing will be in July 1997. When Ellen and Carla killed Jenny, it wasn't on a whim. It wasn't blind, uncontrollable rage. It was a slow, burning jealousy. For Ellen and Carla, childhood friendship proved no match for teenage angst. Jenny's family would ask them "Why? Why did this all happen? What gave you the right to take her life?" They despise them. They took something away from them that they can never have again. Envy led Ellen Holloway and Carla Lewis to torture their closest friend, Jennifer Anne Monroe.

Unfortunately there are many this kind murder stories worldwide... Two of the most tragic in my country were when the boyfriend strangled his 20 year old girlfriend pretending to be helpful on the research to her mother. Another extremely horrific murder was committed by a 14 year old boy on his friend cause the victim bullied him.He also pretended to be worried and surprised by his friend's missing
