Just a hint about the excess strap length in the back cover--I thread the excess through the D-rings as best I can, then use a paint stirrer and thread that through the molle webs and across the straps to keep them neat and prevent them from flopping in the wind. Elegant? No way! Effective? Definitely! Like the bags, so far. Nice review!
i will say i just purchased the tusk excursion rackless and it does not fit a 2022. It would fit a gen 1 easy and it would fit early gen 2s. But the wide seat in the back even with the rack uninstalled it will not fit.
Thanks! They’re 25 liter bags, but I don’t know that one could do much larger bags in the sides. Once full, they’re rather a tight fit. Between them and the 33l top bag, and the two accessory bags, though, one can pack ALOT of stuff. Was going to get the link on RM, but can’t find the system anymore. Don’t know if they have discontinued it, or just out of stock and removed it. Seems like they had a hard time getting stock last time they were out.
@@instinctiveways thanks for the info. That sucks…I think it’s a dandy system. Yeah, ebay and keep an eye open on the Facebook groups-that’s how I got mine. I heard a rumor a while back that they were redesigning they system, so maybe they’ll come back even better!
