Sit outside while you can. Summer is too short to do otherwise. It really doesn't bother me that the wind interferes a bit. I just love that pale pink on you. So lovely!
I always enjoy your video because you have such a calming voice and demenier. I love watching you. Don't forget, you do you and don't worry about others.
I resonated very much with your last comments about negative feedback and decided to post a second comment. Sometimes I feel the universe provides a word or thought whose origin should be discovered. Recently I’ve been exploring the word Ego. It’s surprising how often I’ve found I want to comment on a video with my ‘correction’, my superior thought, or my righteous opinion. When I questioned my motive to respond to something, I found my ego is always the culprit. My ego wants to let you know how smart I am, how loved I am and how right I am. When I stopped letting my ego rule, I found I can respond with acceptance. Now I can do me and you can do you. ❤
Always a pleasure to join you sharing your knitting. I continue to be astounded that some people feel the need to be outspoken and rude. Thanks for another great visit.
As always I leave your podcast feeling refreshed and inspired. I love all of your content from the quote to your incredible knits to your garden and the wind. Don't change a thing, just heed your daughter and keeping being you. With love from Canada!
I think I’ll just box up your comment and take it out to look at from time to time ❤️ Thank you for allowing me to feel refreshed and uplifted in return 🥰
Your podcasts are always my favorite out of the many podcasts I watch. The joy you bring to the art of knitting is contagious and your choices of patterns and yarn are lovely. Your voice is soothing and I often copy the quotes you share. They remind me of ideas in my often-read book ‘The Fifth Agreement’ by don Miguel Ruiz. Thank you for a brilliant podcast.
Thank you for sharing your lovely projects and thoughts. I always enjoy watching your channel and hearing about your knitting, travel, books, and anything else you share. No worries about the audio issues. I was shocked that it has been a month since you posted this video, and I missed it!
Loved your podcast Helle, being outside in your garden was so refreshing..it is winter here by me in South Africa. The sounds of nature and wind are lovely. Your projects are all amazing. Also enjoyed the Olympics and we watch a lot if cycling enjoying the scenery of the various countries. Take care..and I agree with your daughter's sentiment. You do you. ❤
I always love your podcast…indoors and outdoors. 😊. You always inspire me with your knits and I have knit new to me designs because I liked yours so much. Thank you.
I really love your aesthetics. I knit the agave as well and love to knit and to wear it and am getting a lot of compliments for it. Thanks again for your very inspiring and entertaining podcast.
Hello from France and thank you for this lovely video Helle! It always brings me joy and peace to watch your video, they are so much more than "just" knitting content and I deeply appreciate that. Your quote often resonates and has me reflecting on it for the day. Thanks to you, I have discovered the gorgeous Lunae shawl and got really curious about the Seoul blouse, such beautiful designs ! Looking forward to watching your next video
I’m in the Southern Hemisphere, Tasmania, deep in Winter, so I throughly enjoyed sitting outside with you xo I love all your current WIP’s and the items you have finished, beautiful colour choices. You have inspired me to look those Tee patterns. Continue to enjoy your last remaining Summer days, sincerely Kathy
I love your choice of colors since we are the same season. I wish I had your beautiful hair though. I tried to knit 3 times but I always get frustrated. I had to laugh when you said how many sweaters can one wear. It's the same with quilting. I only quilt in the winter since having a quilt on your lap in the summer isn't fun!
Lovely to see you again Helle! I am always so inspired by what you knit and because of your channel I have begun to expand my own knitting techniques and trying patterns I would have shied away from before. You keep being you, because we love you and your choices💕🥰
Great video - thanks! Love the projects you’ve completed and WIP. It’s really interesting you’re looking to knit accessories as well - love the bag!! Always value your positive thoughts. 💝😁
Hello, Helle! So good to see you again! The algorithm buried your recent videos, so I have been catching up today. What a joy it has been. End of summer video is perfect timing for me as we had our first ‘cool-ish’ day today where I am. Can’t wait to see what you get up to as the weather cools off. The hiking video was lovely. And as always, your quotes and observations (musings) are always such a welcome treat. Much love from South Alabama -US. 💚🧶
I just found your channel and I’m so happy that I did. Thank you for a lovely time. I’m going to enjoy taking my time and watch your past videos while awaiting your next! You have a new follower in Biarritz!
I so enjoy your calming way of making videos. Your style and color aesthetic is so similar to mine. All of your makes are so elegant, including your Ample tee that you’re wearing. So stylish! Thank you for another lovely episode.
How refreshing the meaning of "you do you". Thank you so much Helle and let us keep on going with lovely people. You do a great job. Love and greetings from Switzerland
Helle: thank you so much for your podcast. I enjoy your way of being, starting with a quote and gently going through you finished objects and your wips and especially way you chose the pattern and or yarn. I truly needed your calm non anxious presence today. Thank you for sitting outside today, I was also sitting outside and I enjoyed your company.
Hello Helle, Thank you for another lovely podcast. The blustery wind was calm and soothing - sound was fine. Your Ample Tee is beautiful and ( in my opinion) very flattering. I am of the opinion you wear what you want and what makes you feel good. You do you girl!!! Thanks again.
I just finished Yara which has the same construction as Lunae (Lunae is next on my shawl knitting list). To pick up and knit the main border, I used a lot of stitch markers. With the markers that lower all the potential mistakes and allow to have a seamless flow repeat by repeat, it becomes a very enjoyable and meditative knit. At the end I even slowed down to make it last longer 😺
Thank you for the lovely podcast. You are incredibly inspiring, and your delivery is very calming. I enjoy listening to your knitting podcast. I also appreciate both indoor and outdoor environments, for me, they are both wonderful. Thank you.🙏🧶
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, makes, choices, etc with us. I enjoyed your quotes and musings too. The discussion around the commenter who shared her views was on point. By that I mean sharing ones opinion on a design choice is not relevant or necessary. We are all diverse in our likes and dislikes, our appearance , our culture, etc and that’s what makes our world interesting and wonderful. My mom use to repeat a saying to us when we were young that applies here: “if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.” I adhere to that saying’s sentiment and it’s served me well.
You mentioned Mark Manson, and I kept thinking the name sounded familiar. Then I remember that I read one of his books - I won’t type the title - lol! I really enjoyed his message. I’ll have to check out his newsletter.
I love spending time with you in your beautiful garden. Yes, you faded in and out at times, but I could still hear what you were saying. More beautiful projects and yarns to admire. You always seem to find such unusual and pretty garments. I look forward to seeing those finished WIPs. I do like a three needle bind off, and depending which side you do it on, it can look seamless or have a visible seam (which I rather like). Thank you Helle, for your company today. 💕
Thank you for a lovely podcast. Your garden is beautiful. I wanted to share that I just finished my Lunae Shawl and its on my blocking matt. I used ISAGER Alpaca 2 in the colours grey E2S, White EO and Blue 54. It was the first time for me experiencing Mosaic knitting. I really enjoyed knitting it. After blocking I want to ad an icord edge or a crochet edge on the top edge of the shawl. I think it will be nice. Have fun , all the best. Orna 💙
I always enjoy your quotes at the start of your videos. Always good reminders or practices for us to bring into our lives. And of course I enjoy seeing your latest projects!
Thanks for this new podcast. Seeing your podcast on my list, brings me joy! Loved enjoying the outside with you and your knits are always a source of inspiration. Your bag is so elegant and practical at the same time. Thanks Helle, may you have a lovely time ahead, soaking the last days of summer.
So nice to see you again and hear that you had a great vacation! One thing that helps me when I feel I can’t clearly hear a podcast is to turn on closed caption . If I miss a word or two I can see it and don’t fret about the word and then miss the following words as well😂
Love your videos. It is very calming and cool. Smile when you talk about the heat. It is now a pleasant 92° F. After a week of 100° F weather, we feel like we are having a cool spell! I agree with your daughter; “ You be you!” I, too, am starting to knit with cooler yarn as our hot weather lasts much longer than the cool! Louisiana in the USA!
Thank you for your lovely video. I appreciate all the work and effort that you put into making a video for us. I am always inspired by your work and the lovely yarns you use. Thank you again!
As always, lovely projects and your backyard is so lush, green and blooming! The pears look like they will be delicious. Sadly, some people are void of the edit function in their brain - I maybe am even guilty of that from time to time. I’ll try to keep your video in mind and think more before speaking. Looking forward to seeing the completed Seoul and the shawl is a great candidate for some precious yarn I have been wanting to knit up.
Love your videos and your beautiful setting (yes, let's celebrate late summer!). I love your mind set toward knitting decisions and others' opinions. ;) Thanks for keeping me company while I sew a sleeve on to a traditional Norwegian genser!
I always look forward to your podcasts and particularly enjoyed ‘sitting’ in the garden with you! Lots of lovely inspiring knits to follow along with! Enjoy the rest of the summer! 🌸🌷🌺
Thank you for another great video. I always love your style, the patterns and yarn you choose and the way you style your outfits are always so inspiring.
Love that Sarang bag! 💕 You remind me that I have a Lunae on the needles somewhere that I need to get out and complete! It would be a good winter project perhaps..! :) Enjoy! 😊
Yes! You do you - a favourite of mine too and one which I adopt more and more frequently with the years. Another lovely podcast in a beautiful setting. We Northern Europeans need to make the most of these summer months, wind and all. I look forward to seeing how your Yumiko Alexander top turns out as it’s on my list too, but unsure how to wear it.
What a wonderful podcast. I love being in your peaceful beautiful garden. You have so many birds singing. Your garden is a little bit of heaven! You are knitting projects by two designers that are on my list, Yumiko Alexander and Natasja Hornby. I have been knitting with Sandes Garn Line all summer and love it. I have knit the Soho top twice and do not find it too hot to wear on a 30C day. I knit the ILha sweater in Sandes Garn Line with mid length sleeves. It is a little warm in 30C weather, but perfect in the 20C temperatures. I think I will be able to wear it in the fall as well. I am looking forward to hearing how your top by Yumiko is knit in Sandes Garn Line. Finding the perfect yarn for her projects is what has held me up. I was even thinking I would have to order her yarn online. Unfortunately our Canadian dollar is so low compared to the USA dollar. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Dear Helle, it's always a pleasure to listen to you and watch all your beautiful projects... so inspiering to me 😍 in this episode it's the first time that I have already knit one of your WIPS... it's the Lunae Shawl... so much fun and I hope that you will love yours as much as I love mine 😍 warm regards from your knitting friend in Switzerland 😘💞🌸💞
While I don’t enjoy the “bat wings” on the ample tee, I can see how it would be a cooler, summer wear. You look so elegant wearing, as usual. I really appreciate all the tips you give on your knits. That bag! Who doesn’t need one? Agave tee looks so drapy (in a very good way). I never think to knit inside out to prevent pilling. Will need to try. Time for a walk before it gets too late- will save some podcast goodness for after. Thank you!
Your ample tee is lovely, it suites you so well! As always I enjoyed watching your podcast and the sound didn‘t bother me, I love to see your garden! I‘m a bit stressed out and seeing you reminds me, that I wanted to practise yoga again! 😌 But first I‘m looking forward to my vacation in just two weeks, I will spend a week on Fyn with five knitting friends! Knittting, chatting, long walks at the beach and discovering Odense and the rest of the island and of course visiting yarn stores, I can hardly wait! Farvel Astrid
Thank you for your podcast, I love the saying “You do you”…we are all different and that is great. I enjoyed your podcast and seeing all your knits and yarn. I haven’t knitted a purse/bag before but the design you showed and how to use it makes want to do this…the pattern is in my queue! Enjoy the rest of your summer. Take care ❤
Thank you for this very enjoyable video and I loved being in your beautiful garden with you. The patterns you have chosen to knit are wonderful and the Ample Tee in the colour you are wearing looks absolutely delicious - I have sent away already for some yarn to knit myself one. I think you are the perfect model for knitting patterns as you have a lovely cool, elegant style which looks so good on you. Keep them coming as I really look forward to your videos including the non-knitting ones.
I love all your knits and your life and knitting philosophy. Not all of your cool colours would work for me and my complexion, but I love how they look all the same. And they give me ideas. Everyone should definitely make use of their brain editor 🤣
It’s always so nice to hear from you. I’m always fascinated by your knits and the yarns you choose! They’re beautiful, and your skill as a knitter is admirable. Thank you for sharing it all with us!
You are beautiful, your surroundings are beautiful, what you share with us is beautiful.what you create is beautiful.u are blessed.thanks for uplifting the spirits.shalom
I love all your knitting and video's, I wait all month long for them and they are all perfect!!! The variety is there as well so please keep being you♥from Alberta, Canada.
I just love your videos Helle, they are so calming and at the same time inspirational. I love the bag you knitted, it would be a wonderful for me over here in Australia for the upcoming summer. I always look forward to your quotes and I would say “if you can be one thing be kind”. The world needs more kindness 💛
Helle, I always enjoy your episodes. I am looking forward to knitting the tee you are wearing. I am so happy when I see you have a new post. I agree people usually share more than what they need to. Maybe before they comment they can ask themselves “ Am I being kind”. I think the world needs more kindness. Hope to see you soon!
