Personally, I believe that this watch of AL&S is the best option within the high-end SS sportwatches. Indeed, I feel that beyond the technological aspects (the bracelet fitting system...) this watch is far better than the nautilus or the RO (both great watches). The movement is superb, the way in which the day-date function has been integrated maintaining the symetry of the case is brilliant, and it is a really nice-looking watch. For my personal taste, with another type of bracelet (not so wide in the union with the lugs) would be the definitive sports watch. Congrutalitons for your future purchase and thanks for sharing. Every detail on this watch is stunning. I genuinely thought there was no crystal over the dial until it reflected light (and even then I had to remind myself it was still there). Some days when I see it it's the most beautiful sports watch I've ever seen. Some other days when I see it I just can't get over how long the lug-to-lug is and the taper on the bracelets. The dial, the technology, everything else is stupendous though! - Han

The more I see the Odysseus the more I like it. It sits in that sweet spot between sport and dress. It could be a one watch collection however surely anyone who buys it will certainly have a good sized collection.

There's something so subtle yet special about this watch. Unlike the Royal Oak and Nautilus due to how popularized they have become on social media. This watch definatley feels like a "if you know, you know" watch. Let's see how long it stays that way. I too didn't fully appreciate this watch when launched. Going to an AD asap too see it. Great content as usual LWC.

The attention to detail is so German! The subtle pushers, non reflective glass, the depth in the material, color for the dial and the ease of adjustment of the bracelet. I feel this watch growing on me now. Great Review LCW !

This is eye opening. I am intrigued by the way they incorporate pushers and how the bracelet is shortened to name just a few things. New systems for me but I'd like to see more of this.

Odysseus is a great watch, congratulations... Also limiting a watch collection only to steel watches is not a good thing imho. If you like a watch, you should get it. I prefer zeitwerk over all rolex range, that watch is a piece of art and will carry your collection to a different level. You should also spend a week :) with zeitwerk (rose gold silver dial) and datograph (rose gold black dial).

This watch is superior to the AP & PP. the bracelet is genius the dial is far more pleasing the day and date display with the pusher adjustments are amazing.

Odysseus is a remarkable and respectable watch. And you gave him full credit with your video. Following Lange brand since they started afresh early '90s, I strongly doubt they will make a lot of different Steel watches. They are trully luxury brand with a craftsmanship that surpases every other manufacturer. It took them more than 25 years to produce their first Steel watch. hus, if you really want Lange watch - you had better give up your idea of not buying Gold watches !

I do like some features of this watch, esp the dial, with the anti reflective surface, looks very clean even on a sunny day. However the bracelet I'm not so keen about. I think VC Overseas is the only competitor to AP RO, or PP Nautilus. Great vid.

Regarding the adjustable clasp. It is a great feature. But it has been standard for the IWC Pilots bracelets for a few years. I always thought the IWC bracelets are among the best, especially in their price range.

This is the best watch ever ! Not flashy, it has this vintage look when they used to make real watches, it's german, and you can actually read the time very easily.

The movement is so beautiful that it made you want to wear it upside down. Lange is killing the watch game in recent years, PP should do something better than a cheap LV-looking watch

I absolutely love the adjustment possibility of the bracelet, that allows you to widen it a little when your wrist swells during sport actvities. It reminds me of a very similar mechanism in the new IWC Ingenieur bracelet. Thank you for your in depth reviews on these watches!

I feel as though the case is almost too close to being more suited for a dress watch than a sport watch in the style of a Nautilus/Royal oak, and I don't think this compliments the large and heavy bracelet. I do quite like the dial however, certainly can't go wrong in that colour, and the movement is absolutely stunning as usual from A. L and S. Maybe I will grow to like it in the future but it's just not taking my fancy at the moment.

The Dial seems to do the opposite of the Sunburst and I completely am for it. It's gorgeous, but I wish the case actually angled down like Royal Oak and Nautilus just to show that they're in direct competition with them and have the capability to blow them out of the water. There's no beating that beautiful dial

Superb, for me Lange and VC are abowe PP and AP, and when you compare this directly to a Nautilus the PP looks cheap.

Best of luck with your new Lange! The movement in that watch is a work of art. Have you considered traveling to Glashutte? I have spoken to a few people from my local Lange AD. They say it is quite an experience.

Beautiful piece , The bracelet is very similar to the IWC Pilots bracelet.

This is exactly the one watch im waiting for. Its on a league of it own. It came out to beat the patek nautilus and aquanaut and the royal oak all while being completely original. A Lange never chased after the “big 3”, it just did its own thing and beat them at their own game.

I am glad you are taking a look at what Germany has to offer. Please take a look at the Glashutte Original Sea Q panorama date. It is slightly more than a Submariner. However, it has a higher degree of finishing and it is more exclusive.

It will be a cool watch to add into your collection.

Gorgeous and understated piece. In USD that looks to be about $33k. I don't think anyone but watch nuts would ever know that. Unfortunately I don't ever see myself making enough $$$ to buy a single watch at this level. Lange's are beautiful though.
