@@WatchAdvisor I cannot contest your knowledge of the watch market but I find it hard to imagine what can be better in terms of price/quality ratio. I was invited to your harrods boutique to look at this new zeitwerk, it’s so beautiful and stand out design is incredible, I got to try it on and spend time talking to the lovely silva who was hosting the exhibition. I will be placing my order in the not too distant future . In my opinion it’s the perfect first Lang to own . A LANG & SOHNE watches are by far my favourite in the world 🌎. Can’t wait to be part of this unique brand
@@WatchAdvisor absolutely I will let you know when my decision is made , the datograph perpetual has also got my attention, 2 very different watches , my aim would be to own both , just trying to decided which piece I choose first , as there would be a 2 year gap between my purchasing of both these watches , A LANGE & SOHNE has me hooked like no other watch maker ever has , I own various other brands , rolex, Tudor, tag , Cartier, breitling ,zerowest , Raymond Weil , omega and of course a G SHOCK. which would you choose as you first purchase ?
It actually looks pretty simple. Of course it is a handmade work of art, but the beauty of it is that you can read the time, without having to figure it out. I don’t understand the screw, but do I know.

Lange und Söhne website, so this is a promotion clip from them and not an independent review. The watch itself is out of this world. I would buy it at once, could I only get hold of it. Try to buy one and tell us here, where you succeeded and how long you had to wait for it!
The price is no longer given officially by ALS, but fixed on a daily base… It is a price around 100.000 Euro plus taxes… That’s why we didn’t mention it… The text is there to help Google (SEO) to find our independent created video… I simply don’t have the time to create an own text… It does not change anything for you watching the video… So accept my apologies if you are not satisfied with what you saw..

@@gthing6713 As mentioned above: the Zeitwerk we filmed was the a pre-series watch, the very first one fully assembled... In a ready to sell watch nothing that shouldn't be there will be there...
It is not arguable that Lange is very good at movement innovation and decoration, which is probably even better than PP in this sense. But, the watch is not only about movement, but also the dial and case. If you look at the Lange's product line, all of the cases are looking the same. 99% of their watch dial look pale, and just simple painting (except the extreme high-end, lumen dial model). This is probably why people only appraise Lange with by talking, instead of buying... 😬
Blablabla... The entire yearly ALS production of 5000-5500 watches is sold out... Customers are waiting years to get their favorite ALS... So why worry?
@@WatchAdvisor sure! Why would it be hard to find 5000 persons to buy its watch on the planet earth. If it is hard, Lange would be in serious trouble. Nowadays most of the media and RU-vidrs are applauding. We hardly see any neutral comments on those pieces.

The production numbers of the "Odysseus" are very small, so ALS sells these to known and loyal customers. That's nothing wrong IMHO since a majority of new customers wanting an "Odysseus" didn't want the watch, but a lucrative vehicle to earn some extra money by flipping it... Critics as the one you posted only come from frustrated buyers, which I of course also understand...
@@WatchAdvisor Yes, as well as a movement, for technical use but nevertheless highly decorated. From ALS I would expected a marriage of technical use and optical perfection, which is possible, but they did not go that extra milage.
No wrist watch worth that price in my opinion. Beside that your just advertising yourself to get robbed when wearing it . Know a thief moto? Why buy it, when they can steal it!
I do not agree when we talk about A. Lange & Söhne… it is a brand you have to know before you steal it… other brands/models are much more known and their wearers much more exposed to this definitely existing danger…
