I love the flowing nature of the circuit--it actually reminds me a bit of Lime Rock Park (albeit with much more speed). This track must absolutely chew through tires though!
As this is a local track to me I’ve been around this track a lot. Been fortunate enough to have driven it and have gone for some great laps as a passenger with folks with far more skills (and balls😂) than my self. Most recently went as a passenger this year in a Radical SR3……an absolute blast of a car to ride in. As many have commented it’s a great track. Scary in parts for sure (crest of turn two notably) but it has such a great flow to it. It’s significantly less gnarly today compared to when I first drove it back in the ‘90’s. It’s still bumpy in parts but far smoother than it used to be. It’s been widened in parts and run off room has been improved…..notably turn 2 which had nothing but grass for run off back in the day. Back then if you overcooked it going into 2 and came off you were very likely going to end up in the wall (which I’ve seen personally numerous times)
I've done three track days here (CTMP) in the last two months. Turns 1, 2 and 4 are no joke. 2 and 4 are blind and off camber. Not for the faint of heart.
I wanted to go to this race, but went to watkins last week and was a 6hour drive, and this is a 8 hour from VT, so we couldn't go but hopefully I will be able to go
