Because most praying mantises are too big to fit inside the Venus flytrap and they don't care about the nectar inside so there's no reason for them to go into the Venus flytrap
At 3:00 ... oh hell no ! I know that grasshopper did not just stop just to stare me down and tell me im just a push over and went about his business .... Oh hell no ! LMMFAO !
I don't understand the negative comments. Title says "A Large Venus Flytrap VS a Mantis". I think the people that dislike are the people that made the assumption that the fly trap would win.
Putting a mantis thats small enough to fit into the trap would probably be a bad idea right? I was thinking of putting my baby orchid mantis in with my venus flytrap. Obviously i doubt that it would be a good idea untill the mantis is bigger than the trapmouths (if i am lucky enough that it turns out to be a female) not to mention they say the mantis wont be able to find its food in a big space. I am pretty new to all this if anyone has some tips that would be lovely.
