Congrats Jordan! Way to be patient through the season. Congrats Bill for being a patient dad and hunter and teaching this new archery hunter the way of the hunting world.
Awesome on many levels. Congratulations Bill and Jordan, and nice job Ethan for capturing it all for us to view. The hunting industry could learn a lot from this channel - it's content - and the message. Look forward to future episodes.
That is perfect Congrats Jordan way to go! Great job! It has been great watching you enjoy the time with your dad. I am pretty sure that is very important to him also!
Congratulations on staying with it Jordan. The payoff was watching you and your dad recovering your first buck. Something that will always be remembered. The early video of Ethan was priceless.
Haven't even watched the video yet but here's a congratulations. I've been more anxious about you all getting it done out there than I have been about my own season. Way to go!
Congratulations to Jordan great perseverance ! Bowhunting at its best is hard! We love this video series my wife has even gotten in and excited to watch. It has been wonderful to watch the bowhunting legacy passed on and just amazing to watch the ever stoic Bill Winke smile and smile and smile while getting to be a part of this with his daughter! Also loved the added feature of Drew at the end! Again Thanks for sharing Congratulations to you all!
Thanks. Yes, guiding your kids to their success is definitely a lot different from doing it yourself. I gave up a lot of stand time for Jordan this year, but I would never have it any other way. Next year, she will hunt by herself (her own cameraman) a lot more, but I will still want to be there some of the time to share the experiences and the memories. Memories are why we do this stuff. Thanks for the support. Have a great day.
Congrats to Jordan, what a great first archery buck! What a joy it is to watch you both go through this whole process, from total novice to her first two harvests! Well done!
Thanks Keith. She was a fast learner and a good student. She has an eye for shooting a bow. If she gets hooked on it, she can become a really good shot.
@Bill Winke It sure looks that way, and having an expert (and patient) teacher helps a ton too! If she can get her draw weight up, she shouldn't have any issues getting a pass-through. I shoot the same bow because of my short draw length and at 55 lb draw weight, I almost had a pass through, but with my high shot angle I just knicked the shoulder blade and slowed the arrow. The broadhead stopped just short of breaking skin at the exit wound, so I'm sure it would have gone through cleanly if I hadn't touched the scapula. Can't wait to watch her progress as an archer and to see what the new farm has to offer you both!
Thanks for the support Tony. I really appreciate it. We may have struggled but we had fun the whole way. Hunting with Jordan definitely made it more fun for me.
Way to stick with it, Jordan and crew. Sometimes that is the hardest part of hunting, to keep doing the right thing over and over with no results, until the final payoff. Congrats!
Thanks Bill...I've been a student of yours for almost 30 years. Now I'm teaching my wife and kids...I continue to learn from you. Thanks again...and congratulations Jordan!
Congratulations Jordan !! Every season is different. You can kill early season , mid or late. The key is have fun, keep your head up and enjoy every minute. I am pretty sure you are a "hooked Bowhunter" now. I can tell.
What a journey this has been. Countless hours spent in Ol' Unreliable finally paid off. I could sense the joy and disbelief that it finally happened. In a way, I'm glad it took a while for Jordan to get her first buck with a bow. Not that you wouldn't anyway, but many more memories were made in the long process. Congratulations!
Agreed Lance. Even Jordan said that taking more effort to be successful made that buck even sweeter to her (and me). I like the idea that hunting is not supposed to be easy. Having to create content that attracts viewers and created value for our sponsors sometimes makes it seem that we need to stack up the kills, but in the end, those seasons aren't very often my most memorable. Thanks for the support.
Congrats Jordan! Finally got around to watching this video and I'm glad you finally pulled it off! Patience and persistence has paid off for ya'll! One of many to come!
We knew it was only a matter of time! Congratulations Jordan!! Your growth as a hunter this season was simply a joy to watch, as was your comfort level in front of the camera. Bill is one proud papa you can tell. Another Winke hooked on Whitetails, best of luck in late season. Let’s hope it’s cold and snowy here in Iowa.
I appreciate the support, but be careful what you wish for. Wind Chill forecast for this week where I hunt: : Wed: 0, Thurs: -13, Fri: -29 Yes, I am going to be out there, in a blind, thank goodness. Just going to and from on Friday will require all my willpower! I am not sure how will relate to those temperatures. My guess is that they will be shut down by Friday (hunkered and waiting it out). Good luck and Merry Christmas.
This episode is the embodiment of hunting. Sticking with it even after long hours of not seeing any deer. You just have to believe it will happen at any moment. Jordan, you made an absolutely perfect shot on that buck! You should be incredibly proud of yourself for hanging in there, and making a 10-ring shot!
Congratulations Jordan!! I've been waiting on this video all season! Great job! And, congrats to you to Bill, as I know from experience how exciting it is for dad too!
This unique family format for a hunting show is really refreshing. You showed the hard work it takes to develop a deer property and that success isn't always instantaneous. True reality TV! Been a fan of Bill Winke for 30 years because your common sense approach speaks to me and many other everyday hunters. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes efforts it takes to put a young hunter on their first deer. The joy and excitement of the hunt was captured perfectly. Well done!
I am tickled for you Jordan! The effort you put into being 'lucky' is truly admirable. You not only hung in there, you did it with grace and a smile on your face, I am very proud of you. My granddaughter turned 6 today and I hope to be able to take her out for her first deer like I did my son 24 years ago when he turned 10. Your journey has been very enjoyable for me to have a ring side seat to ride along with you and your dad. I am looking forward to more adventures in the future. God bless you, Ethan, and your dad.
Congratulations Jordan !!! Way to go!!! Been watching this since you guys started, have had a rough season this year but seeing you get you first buck reminds me of why I do this. Congratulations again!
Started thus video early in the week and been busy with work, picked it up right before Jordan's buck came into play. What an experience that had to be for the Winke family!!
@@bill-winke If there was voting for best RU-vid hunting series I am stating the obvious when I say what you've put together would be taken home the gold. Funny how you started something great with MW and are now running it back with a different flavor!
Well done Jordon. You were very patient and it paid off. I love the series and what you and Dad are doing. Can’t wait to see the second season. I will be hunting vicariously through your videos as I just yesterday had shoulder repair surgery. But I will be ready for Spring turkey hunting.
Congrats to Jordan, great first buck w a bow! Been a fun journey watching it unfold this season for you guys on a new property. Hard to believe the season is already winding down.
I know, it seems that we were starting this journey just a couple of weeks ago. Life goes fast, you have to absorb every minute and every memory. Thanks for the support.
Congratulations on that bowkill! As a dad of 2 young kids, this new channel has been a real pleasure to watch. And I can tell by how much you smile on this channel Bill, that you are having a great time too! Good luck the rest of the season…
Big congratulations on the hunt. A very real season with a lot of effort and patience on her part. To me that is as good a trophy/memory as a person could ever have regardless of the size of the antlers. Beautiful deer...may you have a long and successful hunting career Jordan, well done!!
Congrats Jordan on your first buck, like you I was fortunate to have my Father teach me about Bowhunting. I've now been hunting with a bow exclusively for 46 yrs. and I still remember all the details of my First buck. I can tell you that after that first buck your success rates will continue to rise. Love your work ethic Bill, carry on
If anybody could look back would anybody ever thought that Mr Bill Winky would become this it's very awesome to see your life unfold to watch you pass it on to your children is a very amazing thing thank you for sharing thank you for taking the step back in the day and Chase in the passion and getting that after it man God bless you and your family
Congrats Jordan!! It's wild to me and seems like just the other day we were watching on Midwest whitetail and the kids were so young getting their first deer. Time really flys. My first is due on Christmas But I think he will be here sooner. Thanks bill for bringing us along all these years.
I have got to say I always look forward to seeing your content I like all the info you provide and congrats on the first buck to Jordan heck yea awesome job
Congrats Jordan! Making memories that will last a lifetime with your dad. I remember, like today lol, my daughters first buck at age 12 with me 10 years ago. I really enjoy ya'lls channel.
Jordan and Bill congratulations on a great Buck. I really enjoy watching these videos. It seems like you're hunting my ground in the hills of Jersey County, IL. Thanks for all the great content!
Yes!!!!! I knew y’all would get it done. Great Job Jordan sticking with it even when y’all haven’t been seeing much lately. You made a perfect shot too!!
Congratulations Jordan! That is a very nice deer and you made a really good shot! I know that your Father is very proud of you. Heck; we are all proud of you and your perseverance!
Congratulations Jordan! Nice shot! I love watching you and your dad hunting. It is a different spin on other hunting shows. Also the reality of hunting is real even in Iowa. It’s not easy.
Thanks Jim, there are some really good farms in Iowa because of how long some areas have been managed, but the average farm is probably very similar to the one we bought - good, but far from great. You still have to hunt for them and I think I will keep it that way. I like having lower numbers. When you shoot something it feels like you actually did something. More satisfaction when it isn't too easy.
Congrats Jordan, so glad you got it done after putting all that time in. Hope you truly enjoyed every moment especially having your Dad there through it all also hope you want to continue bow hunting.
