Hi! I have just found your channel and I am so so glad I did! I have never understood research methods but now I finally do. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into these videos, I honestly appreciate it so much! I hope you have the best week! :)
Appreciate this so much ! please , only if you can keep the a level content coming it honestly is a life saver now that we are remote learning, I'm understanding much better so THANK YOU
I have my psychology as exam tomorrow and in my last mock I was on the grade boundary for an A. If I knew how to do this I’d have got an A so thank you very much for this video!
watched hundreds of yt videos over the years for revision and this is by far probably the best one I've ever watched thank you for saving my mock result🙏
They give you the information about whether the calculated value needs to be greater than or smaller than the critical value for every test. It is usually written under the critical values table.
It's because we are not actually interested in the individual scores. We are just looking at whether or not the score has changed / whether or not there is an improvement. So its categorical data because the scores have either improved or they haven't.
Hi sir, do I need to know how to do the Wilcoxon and the Mann Whitney and all the other statistical tests other than the sign test? I saw in the textbook in the pink haired girl book that it has pages on them and you haven't put videos on them except the sign test. Do we need to learn how to conduct these other tests?
It depends on what type of hypothesis is being used. Directional hypothesis = one tailed Non-directional = two tailed. Right at the beginning of the video I put the hypothesis up. About 1min in.
If you still need an answer: you do the same for one tailed the only different is the levels of significance are in different categories rows. So if its one tailed you’d look at .05 in the first category/row and 8(for participant number) and would get 1 for the critical value instead of the .05 in the two tailed row that gives you 0
