I’ve just found your channel, I’m amazed that you are only 18 yet creating such funny, well written, presented and beautifully produced content ) may I ask what gear you shoot with )

I'm currently in Y12 and the pressure from my sixth form to go to Uni is intense. I'm very open about going to Uni in my 30's or 40's bc maybe I'll be able to afford it or even receive a scholarship like my grandmother did when she went to uni in her 40's. I get SO MUCH judgement for it. My Head's financial advice was "Don't borrow money." - The same generation when Uni was FREE lol.

I had a gap year from march 2020-September 2022, was a good time, I worked a lot of weird jobs, saved for uni but cos of all the lockdowns spent as much time as I could learning as much stuff as I could that I wouldn’t learn at school or uni, had a great time. Then I went to uni realised I had forgot how to be in education and was surrounded by people with a mindset all about mark schemes and exams, it took me a while to adjust again but, loving university now even with its ups and downs. It’s really difficult though for me at least much harder than anything I did at school.

God yeah i regret my gap years so much, learning to work and look after myself and decided what i wanted to do with my life really isolated me from the university lifestyle

I'm very very old, and in my day you could not get into university with one A level and a BTEC. Things were much easier financially though. My kids probably won't go because its just too expensive now. I've offered to put my eldest on a college multimedia / editing course which is all I can afford. She wants to be an actress so now she is going on about a relevant degree, but I'm not optimistic about GCSE results for her. Be honest was this a coursework? 🤣 Only joking, its really very good. Several million light years ago I used to teach on a multimedia degree and would have been quite impressed with this sort of standard of video editing etc. Now I'm a f**king disabled old woman with a mobility scooter sitting outside a hospital begging for some treatment. Happy days!
