"The Danganronpa creators" are NOT Spike Chunsoft, they made their own studio a long time ago. Raincode was the last collab with Chunsoft. This new game has no connection with Chunsoft whatsoever. Very excited that Mario&Luigi is back! I´m curious who is developing it. Ace Attorney Investigations is finally coming to the west and Danganronpa with a Strategy RPG twist sounds fun too.
Really excited for Last Defense Academy. Sure it's not Danganronpa, but if the vibes are as similar as they seem to be right now, then it's gonna be something I know I'll really enjoy.
They gave me Ace Attorney. I'm happy. Are they preparing for Ace Attorney 7? Or some other new games? I have a full canister of copium that went right into my bloodstream after this direct. Still no Fire Emblem. I am injecting too much copium. I'm huffing all of it. I need more Fire Emblem. But I guess I can play silly lawyer games in the meantime for now.
The fact that they're giving us the Apollo Justice Trilogy AND Ace Attorney Investigations in the same year! Capcom has to be cooking something now we've gotten all the games worldwide.
@@TronicSpeed Now give us an updated PL vs PW and some of the fighting games that Nick makes an appearance in, then we can tie up the whole thing with a pretty little calling card with Nick's face on it in AA7!
I'm weird cause for me the Summer Games Fest won only due to one game and that was Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero trailer was super hype and all the gameplay I've seen during SGF just made me even more hyped for the game. The only things I was interested in was the Ace Attorney Investigations game since I love the AA series and I never played those games, maybe Fairy Tail 2 also. Maybe also the Mario and Luigi game since I really liked Partners in Time(the only one I've played lol) but that was YEARS ago. I would like to try out that new game from the Danganronpa and Zero Escape creators since I liked the previous works due to the characters and stories, and this one has piqued my interest due to the same reasons but the gameplay has me worried since I'm not a big into SRPG's lately but I'll wait to see more and maybe it won't be that bad in my eyes. The Direct would've DEFINITELY won if they showed a new Trails Through Daybreak trailer. That would be super hype but sadly it didn't. One day a Trails game will show in an English Direct cause it seems like the Japanese one got the 2nd Daybreak game shown off on it and man am I jealous of the Trails fans in Japan even more than I already am lol Well, July 5th is looking to be the biggest gaming/anime event for me with the Trails news and other stuff showing up in AX so that's gonna be hyped. I look forward to your videos after NISA/Falcom shows us what they're cooking that day. Just 2 more freaking weeks until my GOTY and a possibly amazing group of panels happen! I can't wait! ^_^
I heard they showed Kuro 2 in the Japanese Direct! Why can't Nintendo show some love to Daybreak over here? Must just be a Nisa thing, or maybe money related. The day a Falcom game gets shown off in one of these is the day we witness history in the making, lol. Sparking Zero looks incredible! Tenkaichi 3 is prob my favorite one but I have a massive soft spot for the OG Budokai games (even 2, kinda xD) I played basically every Dragon Ball related game as a kid. Even the bad GBA ones like the first Legacy of Goku and Taiketsu xD
@@Cyrus_Bright Hmm, maybe a money or space thing since it's really limited. Maybe NISA wants to REALLY show it off at their AX panel for maximum promotion even though it's the same day as the release day. That's ballsy right there lol I do remember Ys8 being in a Direct. I think it was direct where Sean Chiplock, aka Rean's VA, was hosting too way back when. Maybe Daybreak 2 will show up on it but I can see Kai showing up in a Direct even more so. We'll just have to wait and see. I played both the Budokai and Tenkaichi games but always liked the Tenkaichi games more due to all the characters, character interactions, and story modes/what-ifs they had and Sparking Zero is looking to have all of that but on a much bigger budget and roster and that's without counting the DLC's that'll come out for the game for the next few years. It's gonna be hype! I really loved the Legacy of Goku games, played 2 and Buu's Fury like crazy. I got stuck on the 1st game for YEARS before I figured out how to get to Frieza as Goku lol
Technically we did get Van at a nintendo direct.... just not thebus direct but the Japan one and not Trails through day but Kuro no Keseki 2 Crimson Sin since its releaseing on switch in japan next month. It was just a quick 10 second promotion though
I saw that afterwards! Crazy, I probably wouldn't have been able to show it cuz spoilers but that's still cool that we technically got Falcom stuff in a Direct ^^
I really wish the extreme surprises of Nintendo Direct could also include new Mario games and characters I imagine as excited and interested as I am for the next future.
It really was a great direct. That's one thing I can respect from Nintendo, they have something for everyone. If there wasn't a single game shown here that interests you, then I question if you even like video games. lol I feel like I am the only person excited for Fairy Tail 2. For as harsh as I was to the first game, I am looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully they manage to improve it, but I am very simple man, I see Hiro Mashima waifus, I give money. Simple as. xD Fantasian was released on the Apple Arcade (whatever that is) a few years ago. They are releasing an enhanced port with quality of life improvements. The characters from Farmagia were designed by Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail. Despite how goofy it looks, I may have to buy it because the pre-order comes with a 100 page art book. Did I ever mention how much I like Hiro Mashima and his waifus? xD I know we're all hardcore Trails fans here and Trails through Daybreak is releasing next month, but for me, the Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is probably going to be my game of the year. After finally putting some hours into Star Ocean: The Second Story R, I have to say, the HD-2D art style is the best trend in recent years. I'm so happy that the first three Dragon Quest games are getting the respect they deserve. And yes, you can play the Dragon Quest games in whatever order you want. They all have references to the previous games and some are connected in one form or another, but they are standalone stories. Such a great series. I'm glad they haven't completely abandoned old school Zelda for nu-Zelda (BOTW and TOTK). lol Not a fan of fps games, but Metroid Prime fans rejoice! It's about time. lol Excellent show and great commentary, Cyrus. I have to ask because I am going to be buying all of the multi platform games (Fairy Tail 2, Farmagia, Dragon Quest HD-2D Remakes, etc.) on the PS5, are you going to be buying the games you are interested in on the Switch or the PC?
Cyrus you should definitely play the Dragon Quest games, it's really good, the best entry game for new players is Dragon Quest 11, but you can also try with this remake of Dragon Quest 3 when is released I love Breath of Fire, Mana, Romancing Saga and I'm already starting with Kiseki games, but for me Dragon Quest its still top
@@dan_kotsu I personally prefer the Dragon Quest 4, 5 and 6 trilogy But Dragon Quest 3 is easily top 5 best Dragon Quest and now that the first trilogy will have such a good remake, it will surely be the ultimate way to experience those first three games that are so special
@@samueltorres3246im definitely excited so far 8 was my favorite. 9 was interesting but I never ended up finishing. 11 was way too long lol. Hopefully older games little bit shorter cause 100 hours is alot just for story lol.
I'll play Last Line Defense and Romancing SaGa 2, but not much else. Ace Attorney is cool but I have no experience with it thus far. The Fire Emblem drought is getting rough though.
Nopeyep is a Saga boi? Who knew! I'm really interested in Last Line Defense, it really looks like Danganronpa and 13 Sentinels had a baby and Kodaka puked all over it XD AA games are very good and have loads of quirky characters. Edgeworth is prob one of (if not "the" best) characters in the series. Fire Emblem fans out here panhandling and Nintendo just rolls up their windows 😔
I was just reminded of that screenshot of Nadia saying "First!" from Reverie, thank you for that mental image xD I will come back to this comment when you have edited it 👀
I have a theory that most Metroid fans are actually closet weebs, how close to the truth am I u reccon? BUT METROID PRIME MAN! I CAN FINALY DIE IN PEACE!
*stares at Genma* you might be onto something xD the game looks incredible, almost doesn't seem like a Switch game from a graphical perspective but idk, Nintendo devs can pull off some wild stuff
M&L Brothership, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and Ace Attorney Investigations are must haves for me this year. Then Prime 4 for next year? Hell yeah I also like Dragon Quest (11 is my fave sue me) but might wait on 3 remake since its just straightup 60 dollars like bruh nah thanks. Ill wait
$60 for a remake does seem like a lot I will admit, but they did remake the entire game from scratch so it's not just a simple remaster. I'd prob be comfortable with paying $40-45 personally. I would like to play a DQ game at some point, 11 will prob be my first one since I already own it xD this Direct had no right being as packed as it was
