I have nothing much to say except that I always feel the need to try my chance at singing along whenever I hear that song, despite being terrible at singing. But yeah the melody also randomly comes to my mind whenever I'm derping around in my daily life. That's how much I love this song. Whatever the version they're all amazing <3 As amazing as you are for having completed this video series :D

I gotta give both to the OG songs. The Midi sound font just sounds better and the real harmonica had this awful tone frequence that just really didn't sound good. And Hoshi no Arika also is better in its original form, because that version just hits harder. It invokes feelings. Because during those final moments in FC, if you aren't crying during the scene with Estelle and Joshua, you will be bawling by the time the credits hit. And that song together with the pictures just hits you right in the feels, grabs your wallet and forces you to buy SC so you can see the rest of the story while you are still crying. It is juts so good. And the evo version wasn't bad, but the tone just didn't fit the song in that version. But hey, I guess we're done now. This was a really nice little series. Off to Ys 2 we go!
The credits...I couldn't believe it when I reached the ending of this game. Of course, you already know, the rest is history. The Evo version sounds more epic, if that makes any sense. It has a more grand feel to it, but I will always prefer the original in the case of pretty much every Trails song. Congratulations on making it to the end of this series, Cyrus.

@@Cyrus_Bright probably they didn't nail the rights deal when they released it with the Olivier VA so they added it later in a separate Falcon album. Or they just try to match what is in the original OST??? And they did not add tracks that don't have an og counterpart. I think they put the one with Olivier's vocal on the Falcon Character song collection. My two cents is that they separated those so that the VA's can earn royalties with those songs since they are isolated to a specific album that features songs made by the Va for the game. That is also maybe why Estelle's song is Vol 1 and Olivier's song is vol2. Separate CDs, separate revenue.

So yeah… I was going to wait until tomorrow to write this comment, but I’ve just looked again at how far behind I am when it comes to your videos and man… That’s a lot more than I remembered. Haha... So yeah, time for the run-back (don’t expect these to happen too often, though): → When it comes to the new outfits, everyone with one exception is either better off or at least on the same level as their old outfits, so that’s a plus for me. The only one I kinda dislike is Judith… Now, don’t get me wrong. The new clothes are very sexy and I won’t say no to that, but something about that outfit as a whole just doesn’t really work for me. → Anchorville hype, baby! So… I’ve made no secret at this point I’m a bit of a map autist and love seeing these places Falcom shows in maps visually represented, especially since I feel Falcom punches very much above their weight when it comes to environment presentation, backgrounds and the like. It’s why I get a bit sad when the series moves on from one country to the next and we don’t get to see a big number of locations shown on the map (I could easily name like 10+ locations in Erebonia alone I really wish we’d visited. Calvard will probably end up the same way. I’m gonna be a bit disappointed when we don’t even end up revisiting Altair by the end of the Calvard arc), even if I do understand why Falcom doesn’t bother with visually representing all these minor background locations. Anchorville, believe it or not, is one of the few towns in Calvard we knew something about before Kuro happened. Besides Altair, which we actually saw in Azure, Anchorville was also mentioned and served as the main setting of the book “Sunshine Agnes”. Honestly, for the most part, the screenshots and the description do seem to be in line with how it’s portrayed in the books. The only things that’s a bit weird is that the book describes Anchorville has being located in a somewhat hilly region, but you don’t really see that in the screenshots (it’s probably just not the right camera angle, but curious nonetheless). → I also noticed one of the gameplay screenshots were the party seem to be in a field (battle area) outside of Edith and that’s great. I’ve already mentioned in a prior commented how I didn’t really like how “boxed in” Daybreak felt when compared to other games, so I’m glad they’re adding more outdoor areas in Kai (Like, I get that Calvard’s probably the most urbanized country on the Zemurian continent, but spending like 85+% of the game inside cities and in subterranean dungeons is a bit much even for me). And that’s most of what I wanted to say for this particular bit of news. Not a lot, obviously, but what’s there is good stuff. Also, great selection with the Kuro 1 & 2 OST choices for this video, btw. They work really well with the places they’re played in.
LOL, yeah, they had quite a few livestreams for Kai, plus I recently kicked it into high gear so I could finally finish the Sky FC Evo series before the year was up xD good luck getting through all of that 😅 I get that perspective; it does feel a bit "much" compared to her other outfits Man, I need to read all the books again at this point because I don't remember Anchorville being mentioned at all xD I remember looking at the Erebonian map and being disappointed we didn't even see half of the country. Not to mention the lack of Jurai and North Ambria. Visiting Altair again would be cool. Having more exterior areas to run around in will definitely be a lot of fun. thanks for taking the time to write these up! Ha, appreciate that! Man, it's good to be able to comment again. I was gone for a good bit because by PC suddenly died on me and getting a new one + transfering and re-installing all my important stuff to the new one has been a task and half. Glad that's finally over. Anyways, damn... I can't believe it's been over 2 months since this 1st trailer released. I still remember people (me included) absolutely freaking out over this one and now things are even more insane. As for the trailer itself, I mean... What's there to say that hasn't already been said 2 months down the line? The animations for both cutscenes and crafts look amazing, somehow looking even better than the absolutely amazing work Falcom did with the animations of Ys X. The confirmation of Rean, Altina, Yun Ka-faia, Rufus & Kevin is beyond hype and opens up a lot of possible discussions I'm gonna speak on in later videos. Jorda being playable is extremely intriguing and has a lot of implications for what's going on with Ouroboros in this game. And, of course, SPACE. Basically, there's a lot of stuff going on. Every week, I'm more curious about how this game is going to be formated. It definitly seems from the promotional material they're taking the Reveire / Kuro 2 route format, but there's also some other points that give me pause. Regardless, Kai is absolutely gonna be a CS4+ sized game. There's just so much main story stuff to go through and that's discounting all the secondary stuff these games always have that ballon the run time even more (side-quests, mini-games, bonding events, quiet parts where you talk to people for 1+ hours, etc). Glad to have ya back among the rest of the internet dwellers! That sounds like a pain to deal with but hey at least it's over, right? The more I see of this game the more it looks like it'll be another SC or Azure tier game. It's almost impossible to process all of it, lol. If it is structured the same way as Reverie or Kuro 2 I'll be 110% down for it! I love the multiple route style for these more "end of saga" type games in the series.
@@Cyrus_Bright Yeah, it certainly wasn't what I'd call a pleasant experience. Don't recommend. But yes, at least it's over. There's probably still a few things I'm forgeting, but most things (especially the important stuff) seem to be in working order and back to normal. Hmm... While I do enjoy the route structure, it has it's fair share of pros and cons when compared to the chapter or act based structure present in prior games. More than anything, though, the route structure feels like something born out of necessity as the cast and the amount of plot details that needs to be explored increase exponentionally.
When I bought FC with the "well it's on sale for cheap so why not ?" feeling I wasn't sure what to expect. But just reaching the title screen and being welcomed by this made me realize I signed up for something great. Thanks for the video as usual~
I like both versions too. They are just so cozy. Sky in general is just a really cozy little adventure. Until you reach the ending and the feelings hit you and then you become falcoms hostage and they take all of your money. It's terrible. But yeah, Skys music in general is really great. Mainly due to the super cozy vibes. I just love it.
Discovering this channel and meeting someone who shares my passion for The Legend of Heroes series brings me great joy. These games are undoubtedly my favorite video game series and will remain that way forever.
I sadly barely paid attention to the music, but both have the benefit of being equally depressing and sad and getting those tears flowing. And yes, when you reach the end of this game, you don't care how much the second game is, you just buy it. FC ends. Every single player: How much is SC? Don't care! Shut up and take my money Kondo! Just take it! We all have been there at one point. The moment you reach FCs ending, falcom takes your wallet hostage and you will never get it back. Ever! But Aidios, that scene is just so sad. And like, Estelle only understands why Joshua left after she meets the guy who made him leave in the second game. Weapons was confused why Weissmann is called the faceless, but it refers to him erasing his presence from peoples memories. Nobody knows who he is, they don't remember what he did and he even manipulates their minds. Like poor Richard, Weissmann played him like a damn fiddle. But damn it, my poor boy Joshua. But at least he reunites with Estelle in the end and all is well. Joshua is best boy and deserves the world.
the people who are able to play all the games now, and still choose to wait a bit before jumping into SC terrify me xD I don't have that level of restraint, lol. I'd really like to make a video on Weissmann one day, he was such a fantastic villain for the Sky arc.
