I feel like this one is creepier, but the dark world dungeon is more tense. The faster notes and more difficult enemies were a good pairing. Still, this theme is far more memorable as a song.
I love how this guy captures the exact essence of every track he does. So many translations to actual instruments fail with that. Truly masterful! Thank you for all your work!
I second this anybody disliking this are extremely afraid of it, because they know nobody else on RU-vid has come even remotely close and I don’t say that out of disrespect for anyone else it’s just the bar is so high with this guy it’s hard to even compare his videos.
A Link to the Past is an underrated soundtrack, which is surprising because it's the catalyst to so many amazing Zelda tracks... one if the greatest franchises of all time.
You certainly know how to make a dungeon sound dreadful and filled with despair. This is how I imagined the song sounded in my head while I was a child. I can reimaginine myself roaming the corridors as Link did hearing the eerie sounds and footsteps of monsters lurking within. You sure know how to make an adult relive his childhood with just sound alone. Thank you.
How odd, I've listening this song recently now that I'm playing Zelda A Link between Worlds on 3ds and also went to listen the SNES A Link To the Past Version. Just to compare. And now you come out with this excellent arrangement. Truly an awesome track, Great Work!
I'll take pants filler for $200 alex Answer: An RPG theme that caused an immeadiate voiding of the bowels from crippiling anxiety in 1991 Question: What is this alex?
Oh my goodness you don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for you to come out with this one my friend maybe you could do the Tower of Babel from Final Fantasy 2/4 next
It's called either a Tenor horn or an Alto horn depending on what tradition you come from. It's the same family as Baritone, but a 4th higher hence the name Tenor horn, although it's also the same pitch as an alto trombone.
There are plenty of places where my chops aren't as good as I'd like them, especially with brass instruments, but I also have quite a few years of learning how to combine the best parts of multiple takes in editing to make it sound more consistent than it really is!
I was just about to ask if you were gonna do this one after I saw your dark underworld dungeons one lol... In the words of GEORGE TAKEI ...OHHH MYYYY!!! lol
Fantastic! This track is the one over the years that I like more and more. Best thing is that the music is like what I remember it was on the SNES, just pure and clean. Well done :D
I love this song!! In my opinion, the correct instrument its another trumpet, not that kind. (The trumpet that you used with FF6 "Narsche Mines" would have been perfect). At the end of trumpet solo, your tones are different.
That was the plan originally, but I couldn't get the low register to sound right. The trumpet I have doesn't have any tuning slides on the valves which makes intonation in the low register kind of tricky. The tenor horn of course has a nice low range, but the high range is more mellow than the trumpet would be. If I had a better instrument and better brass technique I could have made it a bit closer to the original
@@OrchestralFantasy Anyways you made an excellent work with this track. All your stuff is full of hours and hours of dedication, and thats why you make such beautiful work full of quality. Cheers up!! 🎮🎼🎵🎶🍻🤘 PD: You should upload your content to Facebook. We your fans would like to share your content to another fans. 👍
It's called either a tenor horn or an alto horn depending on what band tradition you're coming from. It's a less conical bore than a euphonium, but not as cylindrical as a trumpet or trombone, and it's also pitched a 4th higher
The difference in quality between the strings and brass is extremely stark. The cello is so expressive and mysterious but the euphonium playing severely lacks control. Control you really need to nail down to do expressive pieces with long lonely notes like this. Brass is absolutely the right choice for the part, but I think a brighter sounding instrument like a trumpet would be a better match (or you could probably get a parabolic mouthpiece for the euphonium). Edit: Ah, I just saw the other comment
