Thank you, there have been a few rough patches, but if we don’t get up and move on we will just plum give up. I have no complaints, life is pretty darn good.

Thank you, it’s not that I am smart when it comes to all of these areas, I just have access to resources to gather the information needed. Networking is key.

CORY, HOW DOES A BLIND PERSON, GET ADAPTIVE DEVICES?
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson 3 года назад
Hi, a lot of this technology can be very expensive. This can be very difficult because of the unemployment rate amongst the blind community. Companies are now starting to offer adaptive software for customers in certain areas that can be paid for annually instead of having to purchase the software in a large chunk. Adaptive hardware is also very expensive. Checking with local Lions clubs or state vocational rehabilitation services is another alternative worth looking into.

This was a great video, and I always love how you stay positive even though it's really hard being blind, quick question, do you play any games? (Board games, Video games, etc.) Have a great weekend!
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson 3 года назад
Thank you, staying positive is very helpful for me. I don’t play mini games, but I love a good game of Monopoly every now and then. I do have A Braille monopoly board and I also have braille card games. Some games are accessible with voiceover on the iPhone as well.

Given the fact that scientists have made artificial life, and your blindness comes from nerves not being connected to the brain, hopefully there would be some type of surgery you could take to restore your vision within the next few years!
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson

Anything is possible, but I honestly can’t say that I would except it. I have been this way all of my life and it would be very difficult to change.

ANY INFO, ON DRUG REHAB FOR THE BLIND?
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson
@LivingblindwithCoryJackson 3 года назад
This is a very good question, because things need to be taken into consideration such as access to materials and other accessibility needs. Please see the link below for information on rehabs for the deaf and blind. americanaddictioncenters.org/rehab-guide/deaf-blind

Nystagmus is caused in vertigo and neurological diseased, prolly its the brain that can't know what to do because eyesight and balance doesn't match maybe because you have light perception but no usable movement perception your eyes are constantly looking(no pun intended), for something to look at, something that moves or can be focused at. on the other had nystagmus can be a byproduct of your blindness itself because is a neurological disease. but really nobody is sure why do blind people have nystagmus. Do you see sparkles sometimes? Do you have problems or inusual sleep?. Tysm for your videos, and for you as a person, great video. greetings

I was Cory's early intervention/preschool teacher! Cory your favorite things to do at preschool were to be the "big cheese" (line leader) and to ring the bell for circle time! I'm happy to know that you still have that beautiful curly hair and that you still have that gift of conversation💗. Keep on sharing!
