I had a lot of fun on this little adventure. I dealt with some high winds but managed to net a few nice fish and slept well with the white wind noise. I hope to be back out soon.
Also, I have a second channel and it has nothing to do with backpacking. Check it out and if you like it consider subscribing there too. Cheers

Nice job. I'm glad you got into those brookies. That tiger was gorgeous too. Very beautiful area. That lower lake is super photogenic. I waited out a storm there once and the rewards were great fishing and one of the greatest sunsets I've witnessed.

Thanks brother. Yeah the fishing was slow, but the handful I got were quality. Should have brought the float tube but had a great time anyway.

Nice man! The big lake has monsters! I’ve only caught Cuttys at the one by your camp so seeing a Tiger come out of there is sweet! I’ve been visiting this place almost every year since 2007. It’s always a good time! Fish on! 🎣

Cutty's is all I've seen come out of there too but I'm not surprised by the tiger. You should have a great time this weekend.

Nice looking area! A pair of hip waders may benefit you. Cheers, brotha!

Thanks brother. I actually have a nice pair and a lightweight float tube and left them at home.

I enjoyed your video. Very nice healthy fish and the scenery was lovely. Were you in the Uintas or some other place?

Hey thank you. This is not the Uintas.

I have enjoyed your videos. My daughter moved to Utah recently. We have hiked the Sierras together every year but will try the Uintahs now that she is in Utah. I’m not familiar with those mountains and was wondering if you would share the names of some of the hiking areas that you particularly like. Thanks

The Uintas are great and you've came to the right place. I was actually in Central Utah here and not the Uintas. I've gotten away from disclosing where I am at on RU-vid however if you send me an email @ thebackpackblazer@gmail.com I am happy to recommend some good areas and make sure you're headed in the right direction.

What kind of trout was in the first part of the video? Those look like lake or bull trout with that coloring. I haven't seen those in the small, alpine lake fishing that I have watched on youtube. Just curious...

Hello. The first few were brookies. Caught a few cutthroat later in the evening but wasn't recording my last fishing session.

I'm not a guy who argues with results but why don't you use the reel to... reel in .. the fish?
@thebackpackblazer3973
@thebackpackblazer3973 Год назад
That’s a very fair question. I do use the reel, it just depends on what bug I’m tossing and how much line I’ve already stripped in.
