After a never ending Winter it felt great to get back out. This was May 20th. There is still a lot of snow but several lower elevation areas are opening up and ready to go. I enjoyed a couple mile little hike and had a couple beaver ponds that kept me busy fishing most of the day. The creek was blown out however will be rocking in a couple weeks. Steak and potatoes for the win before swinging in my hammock listening to the water.

Good to finally see you out again, looking forward to your future videos. I'm glad you found a location that treated you well with all this snow and runoff. You got me excited to get back up to the mountains, been fishing the valley for over a month now.

I hear you brother. I've been on the Provo a few times recently impatiently waiting for something up higher to open up. It's coming soon and It should be a great backcountry year. I'm hoping to expand my horizons a bit and checkout some other states which have been on my tick list this year.

He’s back! You know that’s the spot! That spot is so relaxing! That trail in spots was a running creek! Nice fishing! They’ve gotten a little bigger in there! Two steak dinner? I’m bouncing to the PNW next week but I’ll get in touch when I get back. Let’s get out this year!
@thebackpackblazer3973
@thebackpackblazer3973 Год назад
Oh right on dude. I mean they were small steaks but I was pretty hungry too. I was surprised the fishing was excellent. Nothing big but at the same time big for the area. Have a good PNW trip and lets chase down some trout when you get back.

There is still a lot of snow, but it is melting fast. You can get about half a mile from the turn off to Murdoch Basin.

It felt so good to be up there after the big Winter. The gate is open and you can get about half a mile from the turn off to Murdoch Basin before being stopped by snow. I highly doubt 150 will be fully clear by Memorial Day but there will be plenty of accessible places up there by then.
