Holy smokes, that mini person would absolutely obliterate me. The endgame was so well played and she never went dead lost in the game... What a skilled kid. We will definitely hear more about her soon. Nice vid!

Alex (the girl on the left) distracted her with showing her the phone, but she and her sister usually don't take things too seriously in their videos. She should have shown much more respect, I agree. But the other girl sitting there was very annoying.

not trying to say you all were malicious with it but the girl in the red trying to pull the little girls attention all the time brought down her time. maybe just let kids focus in the future instead of trying to get attention in a situation not about you? Kind of a bummer that's how it ended.

I thought the same thing, that’s not the time to clown around to distract similar to doing it to a golfer lol . The kids are shy because I guess they’re trying to concentrate but she took it like a champ. Bravo & well done - she’ll thank them later for the mental toughness! 😄👏

I didn't even think about it like that until you mentioned it and now that I rewatch it, yeah you're absolultely right. When you have only three minutes against an International Master, you really can't afford 30 seconds wasted by someone yelling at you. I suppose her intentions were supposed to be encouraging but I'm betting it almost certain distracted the poor kid at least 1/6th of her total time.

I think it was more of an attempt at ‘being down with the kids’, more than anything else. Different players have different stances. I think for the girl, she was probably wanting to take it more seriously than Anna and Alexandra. Where as Anna has already won the title of chess master.

@@williamadama4213 The lady did not move the piece. She picked it up in a joke way. Like "move your knight here!" When that's a bad idea. My friends and I do this to each other when in informal settings. I think this gathering wasn't that serious and more for fun.

This is clearly an informal setting, they are having fun, Anna was clearly not playing down to her but actually respecting the kid's playing skills, they are entertainers broadcasting on air, and are having fun joking around with friends. As if all that wasn't enough, chess is literally a GAME (it's a literal board game ffs). A great boxing writer once said that all sports are the manifestation of humanity laughing in the face of god because we imbue games that have no real point or impact in terms of life or death stakes/situations or our survival with those concepts to where we elevate them to that status (thus playing god in our own way and telling god to basically piss off). Perhaps you should take a step back and really look at yourself to analyse why tf you get so butthurt and irate at something so goddamn inherently meaningless and pointless as a board game that you got to watch being played for free.

I remember sitting down with a four year old at a chess tournament one year and getting demolished when I was in high school. The young ones are often the scariest and she played very well.

A few points:- 1) Great and smooth game by the kid. 2) Alexandra, we know you are a good player, but Chess games are best played in silence. The kid could have done without you constantly chatting near her ears. The people behind you had the sense to quietly watch the game.

Both of the women watching the game were very rude. This is just like that match with that young kid against Karpov. It’s just so infuriating the amount of disrespect for children trying to play chess seriously. Probably the only reason why the girl smiled a little was because of how juvenile the older women was acting when making that funny face at her.

People don't seem to realize this video is just a sniped from a 5.30 hour live stream. You don't get the full context. They are there to entertain the viewers while others are playing. Its the format of the program. The girl got to play many matches that evening and did great!

There is HUGE difference between tournament chess which are played in respectful silence, and café chess which is played loudly and with bystander kibitz. Please don't confuse the two.

And think about it - this game was this little girl's BIG CHANCE of challenging an International Master and Woman Grandmaster (one of her heroes) - a complete honor for her, and during the whole game, the other two girls in the background did not once keep their mouths shut, and both kept constantly interrupting the game with comments, jokes, and showing Anna Rudolf things on a mobile phone. The disrespect shown in this game is unforgivable. Had they both STFU and let the girl concentrate I'm sure we would ALL have seen far more brilliant moves on the board

Oh come on, it’s not always that serious. All were just having fun. And by distracting the GM, they might have actually given the young girl a slight advantage. At the end of the day, they were looking to make an entertaining stream, and sitting in silence while a GM crushes a bunch of children would not have likely achieved that.

Lol it's a chess cafe. Maybe you should go there for once in a lifetime. When I was playing chess at the club as a kid, adult opponents blew cigar smoke in my face. Their friends would stand behind me and hit my chair with their feet, knocking stuff from the table etc etc. Yeah, once I was that good 😎

Watched this live . The entire paris trip was wonderful . Happy to see Anna playing with the next generation of chess players . The girl is strong for her age . So is her sister .

Little girl lost on time in a position where she had excellent drawing chances because of the opposite colour bishops . The computer evaluation is close to 0.0 which you can see to the left side of the 2-D board which shows equal lengths of white and black . If white is winning or has a sizeable advantage , the white bar will be longer than the black . And vice versa .

@@lifethroughromans8295 It’s actually a bit more complex than that. It’s a draw with perfect play but especially in time trouble, it’s not as easy as it seems for black to draw the position unless they are a very strong player. White’s position is much more favorable

I'm just seeing it from the view point of the little girl who's already brave enough to challenge a gm in a public place with loads of people, and then there is one of the gm's friend that keeps shouting random words in a vague french when you're already behind on time. I wish the staff would have done a better job at help you two communicate, because one of the key sentence of what Anna was saying got lost.

In a normal match true, but this was filmed during a live stream on the botezlive twitch channel. They are entertaining the viewers while the others are playing... It looks strange if you don't know the setting but it's just the format.

@@edwassermann8368 Well, if i remember correctly the live stream had a constant +20k viewers for 5 hours and has been watched over 725k times. So to answer your question, allot of people.. This is a 6 minute clip from a long evening of games, with 5 female chess streamers roulating in playing each other and random people, while the others talking to viewers in the background. The little girl Ines got to play many games aswell, as did both her sisters and they were great. Alessia might have taken it a bit to far with the taunting in this clip but overal this looks so much worse then it really was when you have seen the whole stream. By the end of the stream she was sitting in between the streamers on Alessia's lap having a good time. People are getting way to dramatic over this with to little context .

This whole game this priceless girl had to battle through three friends distractions If I had been there I’d have decked both girls who joined the party nearly knocked the game board over then decked the blond Completely uncalled for. You are impressed with your young opponent's skill in a foreign country and you make a video on the platform we call RU-vid to show the world her talent. I think that anyone would make their opponent look better if they saw you were a GM instead of an IM. Since you are a GM for women and your opponent is also a young lady herself, it is very clear that WGM may not be needed. Would it matter if Pulgar and Magnus went at it again? I guess it would. Would it matter if Rudolf fought a young chess prodigy? I would beg to differ on that one.

Think how the lack of honesty and integrity affects chess in the world ..... She did not add anything to the rival with subtitles ... showed appreciation for the quality of the young girl's game - that's cool, but I don't want to be fooled about with the titles of recordings, texts in newspapers. Such a thing can be done by tabloids suitable for waste paper.

Yeah but in this case I feel like it is disrespectful partly because of the age of the player and the language barrier. I think that the boat should have been able to concentrate at the game because they couldn't exactly make small talk and it was distracting to have the adult conversation continue.

It seems the background girls came in with the precise intent to disrupt the little girl’s attention- aside from “selling” their own image. But at 2:39 Anna wasn’t”t laughing anymore. The romanticism and the flair the video was trying to convey unfortunately gave away to a feeling of con-artists with the 3-card trick and their stooges. It was uncalled for as I think Anna would’ve beaten the little girl anyway. Or would she? We’ll never know.
