Since you like to read according to the seasons, you might like to read Peace Like a River in the fall or winter since these are the seasons that the book primarily takes place in.

I feel you on the weather, we had a mini blizzard several days ago and right now all the snow has melted, the sun is shining, and I walked outside in a T-shirt. 😂 It’s just crazy!

Understood Betsy is one of the best children’s books I have ever read. It can help kids & adults learn how to handle each other, talk out issues, and grow up. It is an unusual book because it wasn’t “preachy” but helped us all understand each other and helped kids realize they can solve problems on their own.

❤ I'm back into my major mood reading era.😅 I'm rereading Dune plus reading a Trollope classic and 2 modern classics. I love how you're trying to resist the library....I have to do that too now and then. 😅

Peace Like a River is very good! I definitely recommend buddy reading it though since discussions throughout reading always help to get the most out of stories like that. I would also recommend looking up the themes you should be looking for because they can be hard to find if you are not expecting it, but when you find them, it is honestly mind blowing! I read it twice. The first time I just thought it was okay, but the second time, I had somebody coaching me on what to look for, and I got an incredible experience out of it! I am curious to see what you think of it!

You're such a tease! LOL "Hopefully coming up soon..." ;) Blood of the Stars isn't technically a winter/cold book, but it starts out right as winter is heading into spring, so I still think March is excellent! I hope that you enjoy reading it whenever you do get to it!

Hi Chantel I am reading “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. It is a very good book. I got the book from my Local Library. All of the books you mention sounds really good. I love going to the Library. It’s fun to see what they have on their Shelves. Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗🙏☕️📚📕🔰📖❤️

I haven't read much from Kristin Hannah, just The Great Alone and The Nightingale, have you read those? I'd be curious to hear how The Women compares.

@@ChantelReadsAllDay - I have Read Great Alone and her other one. I am really loving The Women. I guess because my Aunts was in the Service and my one Aunt was an Army Nurse during one of the Wars and so I can relate to this book so very well. ❤️🔰❤️

I am currently reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. Last weekend I started the Myrtle Hardcastle series and plan to read book 2 after I finish my current read. Loving both at the moment!

We love you in this community as well. 🦋 You know I just finished Offworld by Robin Parrish. That was good. So good. I am slow reading Highlands by Chautona Havig because I don't want to leave the Highlands so I refuse to just read on through. That series of books by her is good and needs to grow! Ready for more!!!!

@@ChantelReadsAllDay Prairie is book one. Highlands book two. She is supposed to be writing Seaside next. I love being with the people in that world. Where ever that world is. :)

Please read The Winter King! I read it in January and really enjoyed it. I believe it's considered an allegory, which I recall you might have said in a video one time that you didn't care much for allegories? But I would definitely give it a try because it was really good. ☺️

I've been in my fantasy era for the last 20 years 😂 but I love hearing all the fantasy books you're reading because a lot of them sound really good! I'm currently reading The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip and then I'm going to be giving Melanie Dickerson a try.

I so wish shipping wasn't so stupidly expensive especially to the US. I would love the Nancy Drew books. My family is all in Canada and I live in Florida and when I send parcels it always costs more than the items.

Oh, wow! The Antique Hunter's Guide to Murder!!! EEEP! That looks amazing. I LOVED The Lost Library. So fun. If you don't like books with ghosty elements, then it's probably not best for you at this time. LOL.

Wow, didn't know I'd ever read "binge read" and "Way of Kings" in the same sentence! Haha! I know the last time I got Austin Kleon's books out there was one I enjoyed more than the rest but couldn't remember which it was. I need to give the books a good wipe down and dive into them!

I'm the same. A group of ladies from my church who love reading decided to start a book club. We are currently supposed to be reading our first book and I haven't picked it up yet. Some of that is also because I haven't been able to focus on reading. My husband has been having issues with one of his eyes for a long time now. When he saw the doctor for it, he was told he had to have CT scan to rule out a tumor. Praise the Lord, we learned Friday that he does not have a tumor, but he does have a benign stone in a tube (not the tear duct) in his eye that will need to be removed. Everytime I picked up a book last week to read, I found my mind wandering so I just haven't been reading. I'm hoping this week will be better with the CT scan at least behind us.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband but am glad to hear it's not a tumor! It can definitely be hard to read when there is so much going on in life though, I totally understand.

I saw Meg With Books and Books Like Whoa both review this and they both gave low ratings. Meg loves mysteries and she was so disappointed.

The Gilded Ones was such a good book, and the author made it so it can be read as a standalone. However, I couldn’t continue the series as the second book the author forgot who her audience was, and decided to down the lgbq+ route, every character (other than the main protagonist) is lgbtq+, so unfortunately I had to dnf at page 97 in the second book. The first book is empowering women, and the second book is the complete opposite.
