Welcome back world!
In this episode, we're celebrating the Indonesian independence day which takes place on the 17th of August! I started the day in Yogya, but a lot of people told me I should make the trip to the local villages to enjoy the festivities and I did not want to be in a too big crowd in fear of not getting the real experience. I don't know why people kept saying this because there was absolutely nothing going on there! I ended up driving all the way to Solo where I attended one event that was quite fun, but other than that the day was pretty average to say the least.
I hope you all out there had an amazing day regardless and maybe you can tell me what people do on this day in case I ever come back to celebrate again. Thank you!!
