I think that what makes your vlogs so appealing is you make your viewers feel like they are actually with you. Very accommodating! A real part of the adventure ✨️ Thank you 😊
Just reminds me of what we just went through cancel after cancel delay after delay coming back from South Carolina.... You have such a great attitude about it all though just go with the flow that's why I like watching your videos
Adam, as a meteorologist living and working in Houston for the past 43 years, I can assure you that the weather was quite an issue here yesterday. We had a terrible squall line moving through between noon and 3pm, producing winds of 50-60 mph and a significant tornado. Both airports were closed for several hours. That's why you were routed north to St. Louis - the squall line extended quite far to the north.
This vlog was very therapeutic for me. I have agoraphobia (fear of not being able to escape, basically) and due to that I haven’t been on a plane in over 20 years. This vlog was so calm and relaxing, even under the stressful circumstances. Looking out the window down at the city lights…just beautiful. Thank you so much, Adam, for bringing us with you. You really helped make me feel like I can actually get back on a plane again one day.
My heart hurts so much for you. I know what you’re going through and I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. I’m so sorry.😔 Claire Weekes, an old, dead, Australian doctor and her book has helped me the most. “Hope and Help for your Nerves”, made me realize I’m not going crazy and helped me leave my house for the first time in months. As Jordan Peterson said, “We were built to walk uphill”. Keep fighting and being courageous. I’m there for you❤️
You are an example! If things don't work as planned... you always remain calm, think things out, then get it done. If only more people could be like you, Adam!
Hey buddy love your videos … been following you for awhile… you caught me in this video i was the united rep that announce boarding at 145pm … I just apprieciate your well manners and respectable way of being … I been working with united for 29 year and when flights get delyed and canceled passeners loose there patience you were calm and respectable never sais a negative word about the situation … your a very cool guy god bless you
I agree. Every time I get to skip a long line, I am so grateful for it and will definitely renew. I recommend global entry for anyone that is even considering international travel. Saved me at least an hour at Seattle customs.
Houston had massive storms that included tornadoes.... A lot of damage. Prayers for all who were affected. Good thing you travel with all your luggage. What a crazy flight day.
Ugh... airline travel lately has been challenging. Especially when you're on a tight schedule. I personally learned a lot from the Southwest debacle of Christmas 2022. Glad you finally made it safe. Enjoy your time in Cali!
I flew from Denver to New Orleans to see my mother last week of September. United Airlines, one hour weather delay leaving because of storm @DIA. Returning home on 10/4 arriving at gate the plane gets delayed for 4 hrs. Tight schedule needed to get home for work. Turned up on a flight from Delta, change planes in Atl to get home before work!
Most people don't know that southwest sent a message out threatening all luggage handlers, they said if you call out sick and you can't prove you were sick...you're fired!......well, over 200 luggage handlers quit after that....but of course that's not what they tell the public.
I think your travel day videos are some of my favorite! My family has been stuck in MCO waiting to come home to Seattle with two very young children. Now whenever we go to the airport, we stay the night at the hotel. They have a nice rooftop type pool and you can order breakfast while you swim. They also have a gym in the hotel which is pretty nice. Thank you for your dedication for the content Adam. Some people would consider a travel day a wash for content. You make it fun!
I'm always a bit more happy when I know your here in Southern California, Adam! Welcome back!!! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us, always a great time! Be safe & have a blast!!! 🤙❤️✌️
It doesn't matter what content you film, it is always a work of art. So admire how calm you stayed with the canceled flight and change of plans. It is like traveling with a friend! :)
The last time I flew was in 2004 with hurricane delays and all sorts of madness. I'm curious if Adam has ever taken the train across the country (I have many times)? I would love to see his experiences as an Amtrak passenger. He could stop at various places along the way and stretch the journey over about the timespan of one of these jaunts, and potentially have a brand new experience along the way! I LOVE the train - just don't go with any preconceived notions of when or exactly how you'll arrive. It's invigorating and fun.
Wow! That was weirdly mesmerizing! I looked up from my phone and was momentarily surprised I wasn't on a plane. I think your quiet voice and the dark moving screen watching out the window hypnotized me. That was so odd but now I feel extremely relaxed.
Adam, u are a trooper, all that waiting, whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Love your video's! Thanks so much for taking us along and doing an epic job of doing YT!!!!!
Adam, your voice is quite soothing and there’s something to be said about how you and Tim Tracker both have a mellow approach to your videos. It shows a great deal of restraint to have a stressful situation like airline delays not irritate you. It’s always a good idea to go into airline travel knowing you don’t have control of the situation but you definitely have control of your reaction. Well done. Enjoy your time in SoCal!
Zaza is my MCO corner, I actually enjoy passing time at the airport. Not the worst thing in the world to be honest, to be forced to relax for a little while, read a book, try some foods, buy some magnets and keychains, etc . Delays and cancellations suck absolutely, but it usually works out fine in the end, and the upside is it's also the perfect excuse for being late, heh. Welcome back to Cali sir! Low-key always on the lookout for a rando Woo sighting when you're here ✌
Hey Adam I remember when the Orlando airport was in a lot smaller back in the early 60's and you didn't see hardly any light from the air over orlando. There wasn't much built here back then.
Airport travel - ugh. Just when I think I want to go somewhere, I watch one of your airport vlogs and it's immediately scrubbed from my brain. Thank you!
Great travel vlog - quickly became invested in you getting to CA when the flight challenges began. 😎 Looking forward to seeing another Splash Mountain ride at Disneyland. Cheers.
Glad you got your flight all figured out. I’ve been in that same situation and was stuck in Charlotte for 9 hours due to a missed connection because of weather. 😩 Have a great time in SoCal! 😁😁
It's been SEVERAL years since I've flown into or out of LAX. Spent many an early morning or late night driving there with my mom as a kid to pick up my father from his business trips. Grew up an hour east from LA.
What a nightmare. You just moved on changing plans. Good for you. It still worked in your favor, minus an extra charge for the car. 12 hrs is a very long day. Enjoy Cali and Mickey & Minnie’s. Hang with Justin some more. I absolutely loved your videos together.
I totally felt your pain at the airport! Got mixed up in the Southwest mess after Christmas. Took me 3 extra days to get home from Austin. Luckily I stayed at my daughter’s to kill the time. Some folks had no place to go! Excited you’ll be in the OC! Wish I could meet you- watch you every day. Non-stop is the best!!! Hugs!!
If I didn't know any better I would have thought the giggly girl during take off was me and my sister. LOL we think we're funny. No one else does, but to us we're hilarious and lose our minds when we are together.
There was a touchdown of an E-3 tornado in Pasadena/Deer Park area just east-southeast of Houston (about 30 minute drive from IAH). Occurred around 2:30pm central on your travel day. Pretty much all of Texas had bad weather yesterday. I live in the D/FW area and it was low 40s to low 30s with rain/wintry mix all day. Even got a bit of snow around 7pm. Glad you got to LA safely 🙂
I’m an 1 and a half from the Houston airport. We got slot of rain from the Tornado. It blew a guy over in his rocking chair. It broke a window in his house. I’m glad they kept you out of the nasty wheather. Stay safe out there. Love your videos. 😎🤠👍👍👍👍👍👍
Completely agree Adam, a gym, with changing facilities would be an excellent addition to any airport, far better to prepare for flights than the endless fast food concessions and over priced boutiques
Just through it into drive. I recently drove Orlando to New Orleans (somewhere you really need to visit) and back all not on the Interstate highways which are jammed and dangerous. I went up on US27 to US 98 and US90 these are like the old Route 66. Lovely, scenic and much less traffic. It takes a bit longer but it so much more pleasant.
So excited that you’re coming to Philly shortly, can’t wait to see what you decide to see and do and eat! Welcome and I hope the city gives you “brotherly love”!
Air travel has become more unpredictable these days. I definitely don’t have any plans to fly anytime soon. I feel bad for airline workers too! High level stress job!
Adam, those headphone splitters made you a king if you went to high school in the mid/late 2000's. The funniest part is only getting one side of a song taking advantage of stereo sound. One dude would get the sick guitar solo, the other wouldn't hear a thing but the drums and bass lol
TSA Precheck: No shoes, hat or belt removal. And you don’t have to remove your electronics from your bags. $75 for 5 years is well worth it! Much quicker lines too.
Adam, really enjoyed your vlog! Love seeing all the lights at night! Thank you for taking me along with you on your trip! Looking forward to your next vlog.
Been there, done that. Nothing you can do, but imagine not having a cell phone. When I started fly ages ago, you had to listen carefully at the announcements, and watch the flight boards. Last flight I made from Tampa, the flight was cancelled, everyone off the plane (plane problem) and out to the check in and everyone was of course trying to get a new flight. Announcement that the plane was repaired so back through security and loaded, taxied out almost to the runway, but turned around. Back to the terminal and unloaded again. Waited for a plane to come from San Jose to arrive. It arrived and finally on the way. Got home as the sun was rising. Got my checked bag a couple days later...whew. I didn't get excited like some do, just waited. But you made it to LAX...A gym would be worth 10-15 dollars just to beable to use the treadmill while waiting. I bet the Japaneses have them in some of their airports, they have all sorts of unusual things.
I work for United, originally Continental An aircraft can actually back up on its own power it is called a power back but it isn’t done in the US. the vehicle used to push the plane off the gate is called a pushback. I actually drive a vehicle that is called a tow bar less tractor to move aircraft around the field. It was originally used just for the military aircraft but over 25 years ago Douglas approached Continental about a start up for commercial airlines. Now they are used around the US at a few different airlines and contracts.
That city you zoomed in on at 29 minutes is totally Vegas. Good call. I can see the green lights of MGM & when you zoomed in I could see the balloon outside Paris.
Adam, I think the only airports that are designed to look after you with things to do if your flights are delayed for an extended time are, Singapore and Dubai they seem to be the best at it. The lady giving the instructions on what to do when the flight was cancelled was as clear as mud. Just be thankful you only had yourself to organise. Not a wife and 5 kids under 5, then it can become a bit of a circus. Well at the end of the day you got us all to L.A. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Exactly. I have a special needs son. Delayed flights are definately stressful. I was thinking the same thing. Chilling in an airport alone with a good book and a nearby Starbucks doesn't sound that horrible. 😁
Vegas was my first though, too, when you flew over it. I recognized Las Vegas Boulevard before you even zoomed in on The Strip. I remember flying from SNA to LAS several years ago at night, and I was able to see Vegas as a needle prick of light in a sea of darkness after we flew away from the city lights, until suddenly it got bigger and bigger.
As soon as you said layover in Houston, I knew what was coming. Tornadoes touched down in the southeast part of the city.. It's good that you were able to work it all out.
I just flew out of Orlando Saturday on American. We were delayed, because the computers were not working correctly. Luckily it wasn’t too long. My sister lives in Tustin/Irvine. I have flown into both John Wayne & LAX many times. Have fun out there’s 😊
Glad I am not the only one who for a long time didn't know about the push back. to the O C. You flew very close to my home, can see 1 of the very large hangers
At 11:18 the lady makes the announcement that the postponement was because of a mechanical failure. Then at 12:37 they explain, again, that its because of the unpredictable weather. Which is it? Amazing!
Hi Adam. Holy Land update. Bees are starting to buzz around the beehive. Small construction equipment is in action removing landscaping. A temp sign is up on I-4 West exit ramp. Advent Health ER. I work down the street.
Calm and cool as always, love these flying videos! 😊 **Also If you’re wondering what cities you’re flying over, there’s a Live map 🗺️ your seat on the personal video screen 😉
The GPS still works when your phone is in plane mode if you have a window seat. Just open your favorite map app and you can see where you are. (you might have to hold phone near the window to get it to work) On a side note you can also use a speedometer app to see your speed and altitude.
Hi Adam. Airlines are constantly having issues lately. I work at CVG Airport (Cincinnati), United and American are constantly Cancelling flights saying mechanical. Don't really know how true it is. Your best option is Delta. And always try to book direct flight.
Another great video Adam! Thanks for bringing us along your adventures and have a great time in SoCa. I am booked for Disneyland this year and excited for the 100th celebration!! :)
The sculpture you showed of the man sitting on the ground was done by a teacher of mine in college.. he became a very well known artist named Duane Hanson . Check out his other work , very realistic.. even hair on the arms and body .
Props to you on your very long day Wooster ... Holy long hours most cannot do on waiting ... glad u were abled to get that later flight ✈️.. what an interesting meal.. so colorful ... have a very enjoyable time in LA .. hope to see Daphne during your time there ...
