A look at a barely working 2006 Compaq Presario V6000 laptop 

I have the same laptop. He has been working 3-4 hours every day for 10 years. Original battery. In 2009, the Wi-Fi module was changed. The laptop is identified as HP compaq presario v6000 (v6030us)

Gosh i had this oh wow. I miss it. Id buy one if see a good condition on marketplace just for the nostalgia. Ill have vista on it and all ❤

I held a DV6000 once, and something about it just rubbed me the wrong way. I also saw one like this, except the one I saw was a 2500. the contrast between devices from '06 until now, though, even the ones with plastic on them were still decent. I'm not much of an HP person though, anyway; every one I have ever used either died, or acted weird. Their keyboards are also quite loud, too.

I just found one of these (found as in I have had it for who knows how long, and I reticently discovered it on one of my laptop shelves,) Mine is a v6200 according to the bottom, but the top just says v6000. It works, and the inverter isn't bad, so that is amazing. The bad part is that it is missing the adapter that goes for the hard drive to hook up, so I am debating on whether or not I want to spend the money on it to get another one, or if i want to put it back on the shelf for probably another 10 years. Honestly, I wouldn't consider a machines from 06 that old. I still use Pentium 4 machines on a daily basis on the internet with no issues. For basic tasks that is all that is needed.

Hi, I have this laptop, please, can you show how to change the hard disk? I found this laptop but without hard disk. I've tried to put a new one but apparently there is something that I missed because I can't connect it. Thanks for your video.

I have one of these working, with 4 gb of ram and a ssd it can do basic tasks well, also the video chipset is better than most basic intel ones. The onboard wifi slot died a lot of time ago, this seems to be chronic with this model
