Marcus recently sold his extensive and possible one of the world's best vintage Audemar Piguet collection, before OffShore. He sold it to AP for the AP museum. He is a serious watchaholic.
Yep, but back in the 18th/19th Century Mr B had a daughter, who cared not a jot for watches, and sold it to the watchmaker's on the floor, and it was downhill from there, so JCB brought the 'co' for 25K euro's, or maybe 500. It's still a high end brand 'cos the 'family' ie PP, swap around their top guys to make it that way so they are at the level of the unholy trinity esp in their dress line.
He resurrected the brand. At the time it was defunct, and all he bought was basically the name and some of the designs. But other than that they had to start fresh
