Every 20 years it gets a renovation, and every renovation they take away the observation deck, they took away the cameras and closed off the building to public. Nearly ALL buildings in San Francisco have closed off any and all observation decks we ever had.
Feels like it will sit vacant for a very very long time. Businesses are leaving, skyscrapers are closing, crime is rampant and Remote work is everywhere the observation deck/ 48th floor is closed to the public... I don't know.. prepandemic, 60th floor of the Salesforce tower and the transbay park were open to the public for free... Let's see at least something positive fighting spirit we got here.
