I’m a “Newbie”; no need to say why I came to be one, bc that’s obvious. But what brings most joy to my heart with tears in eyes, or actually it feels like the heart is in my throat, is these impressionable young ones who now have this GARGANTUAN superstar, who’s an IDEAL role model, to admire, to pretend to be, to want to be, and can strive to be. Just fabulous. I’m happy for all the fans of this sport.
That's a stupid comment. You don't know 'many' in the wnba, because like many of these racebaiting Clark worshiping idiots, you don't watch, or care about the wnba.
I don’t understand the criticism of Clark coming from current and former players. She is bringing attention to this sport that has been floundering for many years.
CC has all the qualities to sell more tickets at any arena she goes to play, which is something that no other WNBA players, former or current, can do and that's a fact backed up by ticket sales.
She put in the time and the dedication she hitting most 3' that most men ain't hitting so that's exciting to watch and see so she probably might be the Larry Bird of the WNBA people want to see that excitement
She's the "Michael Jordan" of our generation. I'm not talking in terms of stats because you can't compare men and women's basketball. One is not any better then the other. But where they are equal in my eyes is each is equally important to thier own teams and generations. She is the biggest athlete of our day just as he was in the 80s and 90s. Each is equally the GOAT of their time. She is as much of a legend as he is
The ONLY chick I'm watching play ball! She has a magnetic 🧲 effect. Even watching her practice highlights. She is the MJ, Steph, Kobe of the WNBA and will single handedly carry the WNBA to new ratings and more money. This may be the first time the WNBA has a profitable year
She is the "Micheal Jordan" of our generation. Im not talking in terms of stats but each is the GOAT of thier generation and respective teams. You can't compare men and women's basketball but they are equal in popularity and deserve to be called legends. She is the most popular athlete of our time no doubt on that.
@@mc76 that she's coughwhitecough....sad but true. That's the biggest, and actual 'problem', even in this tiny comment section. You have racist/racebaiting idiots vilifying the bla...uh 'other' players, while they act like Clark is the only good women's basketball player. That would rub me the wrong way too if I were a player. Yet, anyone that says this obvious truth, is branded as a 'hater', 'jealous', or 'hates whites'. Not a popular thing to point out, but obviously the biggest draw of Clark is that she is WHITE, and not 'foreign white'.
Lmao, the guy at the end bringing up grinder is hilarious. Only reason people know about her is because of her incident in Russia, not because of her bb skills. Not saying CC is the goat of the wnba, but she brought attention like noone else before 🤷♀️
l get they love their wnba. But if you say they made “a huge impact on the sport” then we need another word for the impact CC has / is making. Bcus,, I mean. … let’s be real.
I'm still waiting for the media to show videos of the Dallas players cheering on Clark every time she hit the deep 3. I was at that game and every 3 pointer she hit was cheered on by the everyone including several Dallas players
Lógico, emociona ver a los niños ir a ver con sus padres un partido de Caitlin Clark, en vez de estar metidos en sus habitaciones jugando a la Consola.🇪🇦❤️💛❤️🏀😍😘
what you will learn, I hope, is the the WNBA has some very good players. I never watched unitl the media hype of CC, but after tuning in, I learned that WNBA women are ball players.
You need to review the false conviction rate for black males, + the 12 to 1 average asset ratio favoring white families over black families. Or do you think attention should not be paid to such things?
I love the lil girl and her support for CC. But i'm like the guy at the end. Most fans just started watching women's basketball behind #22. How ever CC is a great shooter and i am amazed by her game. But this is not the first great women's basketball player we ever see. As being a long time UConn fan we put out dominate players every year. Most all win titles. She haven't won a ring yet. GOAT talk is out the picture. She will be great in the WNBA but for you newcomers if I was y'all don't just watch her play. Watch all of them. Look up who kept the WNBA going for years and past greats. If it wasn't for them the WNBA wouldn't be here today. Thanks to the past greats the league still going on.
@@rockygillman6404yes they did but also past players kept the league up too. But too bad the NBA couldn't help them add more teams & help there pay tho. They didn't do too good of a job on that.
@@GoUConnAndGreenBayPackers why would the NBA continue to dump money into a failing product? Those girls get paid exponentially more than they produce.
The WNBA players are getting paid much more than they generate. All you professional victims need to buy tickets, spend your money and time to attend games. This is on you.
😂😂😂😂 she is WAY better than so many of the women that have been demanding million dollar salaries for the last 5 to 6 years. This will be a very welcome, but short lived surge in WNBA attendance.
I’m not hating but “not a lot of games here in Dallas with that big of a star” acting like Luka Doncic doesn’t exist 😂 love seeing Caitlin bringing more to the game. Hopefully they can start making more money for the league and then get paid a little more
“ … we look forward to seeing how she can … make the salaries a bit more level” Actually, that’s up to the fans. Are you willing to pay $3-4000 to sit courtside to watch these women? Are you willing to pay $3-400 for an “average” ticket to a WNBA game? Are you willing to sit through all the commercials, and buy all the products and insanely expensive merchandise? Because that’s what it will take if you wanna see Clark and her colleagues earning salaries anywhere near what the men in the NBA earn. The NBA has revenue in ten and eleven figures (billions of dollars) every year. The WNBA has never had revenues of even $100 million (less than 1% in comparison to the NBA). The “W” has NEVER turn a profit in its’ 27 year history. In fact, if the NBA hadn’t subsidized it to the tune of over a quarter billion dollars over the course of its’ existence, the WNBA would have folded decades ago. “Women want to share this with their daughters” Really? Prove it. Over the course of the WNBA’s 27 year history, what little support it has garnered has largely come from men. Men comprise over 70% of ticket sales. Men also are the ones who tune in to what little content is available on TV and streaming platforms. Female journalists and citizens live to cry sexism and complain about a “wage gap” in this context, but then they decline to support the women of the NBA. Who does support the women of the WNBA? Men. In particular, the players, coaches, and owners of the NBA who contributes millions, sometimes tens of millions of dollars EVERY YEAR to keep the non-solvent WNBA afloat. Where are the women? Women want to share this with their daughters? Prove it, ladies. Put your money where your mouth is.
Baloney. Kim Mulkey stood for the National Anthem every game for 40 years. Her team missed it once due to a mistake in the locker room on when to come out.
The WNBA is having a moment, but that’s all it will be. At the end of the day athleticism is what got the NBA where it is today. Players that can jump higher and dunk from further away. 3’s shooting logo 3’s is cool and all but putting people on posters is the fundamental appeal of the NBA.
@@bateseanderson2667 but he can dunk. The WNBA just isn't entertaining. Look at the NBA all-star game. It's losing it's luster because it's not competitive or entertaining. Just dudes shooting 3's from farther away. The difference is the NBA players are phoning it in so as not to get hurt. The WNBA players are actually trying.
To keep spectators interested Clark has to play the whole Game and score 30 points per game. People want to see her 3 point shots. REALITY…. The Fever must win. Last season they were 13/27 and almost last overall. Only time will reveal the CC effect. The WNBA lose more than $10 million a year for a 6 month season. Fever averaged 4,000 spectators per game last season. WNBA per game crowds average 7,000. We wish CC ever success.
@@PistolP33 Yes if you are White, she IS the NBA. Nobody noticed all the Champions and people of other races that were there playing very well. By the way she lost yesterday, so I wonder who beat her if she IS the WNBA. By the way guy she's never played an actual WNBA game so not sure how she's the entire league when she never played yet.
