There's a lot of functionality on that bike Dickie, I must say I am impressed by it. If I was looking for a new bike I would definitely consider one of these.
I think thats something that applies to a lot of bikes if not all bikes these days including Royal Enfields. Yes it could be an issue@@iangriffiths9930
Hi Sandy.. I think the Mighty Strom will last us two out 😄.. I’m going to have to ride the CFMOTO now out of curiosity… Dave was so impressed he’s bought one ..
Ya both need to take it out just to find out.. you now the tale of the Cat and what killed it..! If it satisfied Lord Dave.. Time will only tell.. One thing with the Chinese.. can make a very decent sweet/sour King Prawn n egg fried rice.@@DickieMintCycles
Hi and thank you for watching..Your not the first person to flag this one up..Definitely a major issue..Nathan Milward ( Nathan The Postman - Utube) had to travel 150 miles from Devon to Swindon to get hold of one to review ..Reviewing at the moment and worth watching..👍ATB
I really like the look of these cfmoto bikes, their whole range looks incredible for the money. Only one down side, they need more of a dealer network & more dealers. I would've certainly purchased one of these bikes if everything was more local to me. Stunning bit of kit though..👍🏍️👍
Wonderful 😊 good coverage and what a bike! Brilliant tourer bike everything you need. Thanks, the only thing for me is where can I get one in West Yorks? Thanks for the video.
Nice bike, but as i work in tech and data analysis, i can't tolerate screens or software like that when I'm out of work. To each his own but i don't think i could ride any modern bike with screen like that, it would actually stress me out😂
Lovely bike, If I was not knocking on 80 years I'd have one tomorrow. Press the button until it just showed a proper dash/speedo then leave the buttons alone and just ride it ignoring the nerdy bits...🤣
Not sure who or what Clarrie Grundy is but yes it’s pretty rubbish int it by eck…I’m a carrot cruncher and probably need to stick at it.. Lord David speaks posh and his northern accent was totally crap....Thanks for watching it 😄👍
It has everything I want except one thing…a dealer within 700 miles. A 4 year warranty is worthless to me. I’ll buy one when I get a local dealer. Thanks guys.
Crikey.. That’s not great… Why the CFMOTO boss won’t let the service for warranty purposes be carried out at KTM dealerships is just plain stupid and inconvenient for owners..
Hello, Dickie and Lord, David. Thanks, guys, It was very nice to watch that and I didn`t fall asleep once even if Lord, David took a while explaining the ins and outs of the bike. 😁Take care and be safe out there.🙏
Im a new rider so this may be a obvious question. when you took your hand off the throttle to wipe the mirror did you pull the clutch in so you were coasting. I did that once to accknowledge someone but I didnt engage the clutch, im glad I was only going slow at the time.
Think CFMOTO and KTM are under an umbrella company Pierer Mobility MG..which used to be predominantly KTM… CFMOTO recently increased its stake in the company to 51 % so your spot on…Pierer also own husky and gas gas and maybe MV…CFMOTO have also struck a deal with Yamaha to build bikes for them.... Plus I think the Indians are involved ( Bajaj) ..Nuts isn’t it 😄👍
They seem very popular to the point there isn’t any or many left.. Bike Treads have just sold their demo bike for this exact reason..Think you can still get a few of the top of the range ones fitted with radar etc. but these are a fair bit more price wise..👍
Just bought one, still running it in. Traded by venerable K bike for it. Very good value. Surges a bit in 1st and 2nd but I think thats the rider not the bike.
I'm sure you'll have some great trips on that bike......They can surge a little in lower gears off the stop ..Your not the first person to mention this....I put it down these Euro 5 motors virtually having to run on fresh air.....Have to admit though my Suzuki DE800 fueling is a lot better...The Suzuki is smooth and rather sedate in comparison to the CF which shows its KTM DNA and just wants to go rather quickly everywhere 😄....Thanks for taking the time to watch 👍
Great package for the money. If you bought a KTM, you'd have to pay extra for the quick shifter, heated grips/seat, centre stand, cruise control, luggage etc.
Strange isn’t it.. With the KTM the tech packs are already installed but you have to pay to have them unlocked.. Zero motorcycles are now up to the same thing apparently..I don’t agree with it personally… They’re milking it considering the price of the bikes…
Good Morning Dickie , I have to say there's a lot of bike for the money tbf , as you said they seam to have everything covered except an adjustable seat , so as always take care & ride safe
We’ll see how Lord David gets on with his plus another member of the breakfast crew has ordered one.. Perhaps a revisit to the CFMOTO in the summer …Thanks for watching Steve 👍
Greetings from Ireland and thanks for a very good video.I ordered a new MT800 Tourer on Jan 3rd,I should have it soon it was my present to me for my 68th birthday. It will be my 25th bike since I bought my first Honda 50 when I was 16.All going to plan I will be taking the new bike to Spain and Portugal in September for 6 weeks🌅
Thanks for watching Pat....What a great birthday prezzie.. Its a real nice bike and I'm sure you'll love it... Honda 50 at 16 ..Where do all the years go..Take care and ride safe 👍@@patwatters8205
Well what a combo.. Laird Dickie an Lord Sus.. David..the two D's.. That CF got more bells/whistles than GSX Thingamabob.. My first encounter with the brand was someone had a Quad in the Village, not sure the CC. F/R racks, winch, the bells etc.. 4x4 howled like a Landy.. Funny I've not heard nor seen it since seeing it a couple of time..! Mom's ok. Both stay safe.. Cheers
CFMOTO make a lot of quads, buggies, small farm ATV’s apparently.. With new bikes nowadays it seems like a tech race and who can cram the most stuff on em 😄.. Mum’s getting there slowly and thanks for asking….Appreciated 👍ATB
@@DickieMintCycles You're welcome, glad Mom's on the mend, takes time and it toll on everyone concerned... I've gone through same scenario. Take care, stay safe.. Dewi
Yea.. John the Pilot said he was struggling when he sat on the bike…Plus I noticed Lord David was on tipi toes pushing it forward at the petrol pumps….Maybe wait and see what the new Himalayan 450 is like..Thanks for watching my stuff.. 👍ATB
Hi Paul.. Bike Treads in Swindon.. The Breakfast Crew ( some friends) have bought Three .. Handover was last Friday.. Check out Wiltshire Man’s channel…👍ATB
Probably wont be...Depends on whether the dealership will get a demo bike...Been looking a em...There doesn't seem an awful lot of difference between the Tour and the explorer to me?...Thanks for watching ...ATB
Don’t like the way the bottom crash bar at the top overhangs I would of thought it could make the crash bar come to a sudden stop and twist or do more damage in a slide it should be curved backwards making a nice curve to the back haps I’m wrong I don’t know maybe over thinking ?
Probably, but let's face it a slide and all sorts of damage could insue. The real protection is for a slow manoeuvre drop which if honest is what we all fear most.
.. It’s a KTM motor Jonathan, but I couldn’t tell you if CFMOTO has addressed that particular problem..I’ve not heard of cam wear personally but if so , lets hope they have..👍ATB
That guy was such a salesman i want one. I like the way the tank and side panels flow together. No one needs cruise control. Im waiting to see the 450 MT.
Lord David’s great isn’t he..He’s a lovely chap .. Really enjoyed making that vlog with him.. He’s put his money down and bought one..Thanks for watching and take care 👍
Nice looking bike with the standard bits that cost more on a bigger branded bike My only fear is the moment you ride this bike out of the showroom, you are going to either keep it or lose lots of money when you trade it in The bigger brands may lose out to start with but get you back on the trade in Nice video Dickie
That’s exactly what happened with my Benelli and how I ended up with the Suzuki.. After a year of ownership the Benelli wasn’t worth anything and had parts supply issues..Think the parts side of things are now sorted though or at least getting better with the Benellis …Thanks for watching 👍ATB
@DickieMintCycles Thanks for your reply I think it's all about making a brave decision and living with it Buy what you think fits your needs and don't dare look at anything else Cheers Dickie Ride safe Try the moto morini if you can You can pick them ip for £5500
I am a big fan of CFMOTO, I own a CFMOTO 300sr sports bike, the build quality is very good, ride, power and handling is excellent. Just to correct you; KTM does not own CFMOTO they have been around for a long time they are well known in the quad bike and side by side scene, they produce motorcycles in partnership with KTM, who do a lot of the design work even on CFMOTO,s own motorcycle range. CFMOTO have just recently entered into an agreement with Yamaha to produce some of their smaller capacity motorcycles, great video thanks for sharing.
Thanks Peter… I stand corrected…It was the other way round…Yep I’ve had a little delve into the CFMOTO/KTM partnership ..CFMOTO now actually own a 51% share in Pierer Mobility AG (KTM) I’m led to believe… That makes them the boss? I think 🤔 or maybe not 🤔.. Anyway, thanks for watching the vlog and your input regarding the surprising world of who makes what for whom nowadays ..I find it fascinating.. Take care 👍
